Alright folks the season 6 finale of Rick and Morty came and went, and while I did think it was a very fun episode, there is no question that it was also a huge tease. There were some pretty fun reveals slash twists, some relatively thorough Star Wars fandom commentary, and of course a pretty explicit tease for what we should expect from the show moving forward. SORT OF!? I dunno, Iâve got a lot of thoughts about this season! So letâs break down Ricktional Mortpoonâs Rickmas Mortcation.

The mini lightsabers falling absolutly killed me. "Perfectly Fucking Vertical"
I wonder what will happen when the mini lightsabers fall back down to Earth, lol
You should consider doing a video on the life of the rise and fall of the police officer from King of the Hill that ended up becoming a park ranger (the guy that was the parole officer at Bobby's school). Over the course of the series, he goes from a high-ranking and somewhat corrupt cop to a nobody whose life was basically destroyed by the shenanigans of the people of Hank Hills' Neighborhood. Frankly, he is a main character who gets his own main story that happens in the background of the show that most viewers just do not notice.
Wow
You arenât connecting to Netflix on a vpn. They can tell by the packet size that you are using one.
It's a shame that people seem to not like the president episodes when the character is the funniest recurring side character in the entire show
Might be because he's amoral to say the least. He's not a friend but he's not an enemy which makes him unlikable. Also, he is rather entitled. Also, he's the POTUS which already makes him unlikable at a fundamental level...
No
its not that they dont like the president. its where theyre placed. president adventures are not season finale material, especially when you tease something bigger earlier in the season.
@@neooreos1263 but it had both?
I look forward to the president episode every season! The turkey episode wasn't my favorite, but still entertaining
I appreciate the fact that the robot rick was revealed to only exist in the sun knight episode last week, because it would be a bit sad if it turned out that the prior episodes of the season were not with the rick we follow.
Like the fortune cookie episode where he bonds with Jerry would be less significant learning it was actually robot rick.
Or the pissmaster episode with rick unpacking his issues with the weird one-gag villains that attack him and even relating to pissmaster, which would be weird if it turned out it was just a robot rick.
Yeah, that's why I'm not upset at the reveal at all. Rick still grew. He grew enough to realize he loved his family and that they deserved that love. But his mission takes priority.
@@gwenethp511 yeah given off he doesnât kill the guy who killed his original family, he could try to go after his found family and that could BREAK Rick!đš
@@gwenethp511âm a little annoyed. I think the idea that Robot Rick was fundamentally the same person just somewhat more considerate is what really makes it. He doesnât love his family any more than regular Rick, he is the same person, he just spends more time thinking about them and their needs.
I really really wanna see Rick grow into someone who more closely resembles the version from that Episode.
@@Numbabu that's completely valid, but we cannot forget what makes our Rick different from other Ricks: his wife and Beth were murdered and so he wants revenge. That's the main driving force behind everything he's done. Progress isn't instant, and even though he has grown enough to realize that being abusive is bad (shocker), he hasn't grown enough to let go of his original family to embrace his new one.
I was thinking this too. I'm so happy it was really only for one, pretty insignificant episode and not the whole season, effectively destroying the development made for his character this season
Given how they approached Evil Morty and Bird Person, I really wasn't expecting them to follow up again on Prime Rick this season, like, at all-- which is why I think I was happy with what they ended up doing here. He feels like someone they'll slowly built towards over the course of a few seasons, possibly an endgame villain if their plan is to go for 10 seasons total.
Holy shit I forgot about PP
Just hope they handle it better then evil morty
@@raeldrews1187 I thought they did a great job with Evil Morty though.
@@NerdMiGerd i mean we got 3 episodes that came out of nowhere his last episode is basically just a lot of exposition that at the end didn't make any difference and then he just walked out of thr storie. To much time to build hype that didn't go anywhere
True! That being said the season finale usually built to something other than Rick doing the pilot thing of listing what to expect
I like the twist in this episode! He's still growing he's just not fully there and that makes a lot of sense. He's very broken. But I am stoked for S7!!
And I like that the family kind of earned it. Rick really was trying a lot of this season but they werenât nearly as supportive of all of his efforts as they shouldâve been
I'll be excited for season 7 if they can let go of this family friendly dynamic crap and return to God Mode Rick like in earlier seasons. This weak Rick is getting so boring.
@@LesRequiem957 the overpowered godlike shit was seriously lame and made all their adventures have 0 stakes
@@porrim And family drama on a childish level makes it better how?
It's why in the sun king episode I was extremely skeptical about Rick as I felt that was way too drastic of a change in character. Rick is definitely changing, but it's not going to happen overnight, or in our case, in a single episode.
I personally loved nearly all of Season 6.
It did a great job building on the family dynamic. It gave us plenty follow up after Season 5âs big ending, right away.
And then went off into a mostly unexpected way . Which of course some fans are going to complain about because they canât seem to grasp what the show has always done, sprinkled canon in an assortment of whacky sci-Fi adventures.
Season 6 was a much more consistently funny season. Jerry getting a couple come ups was a great change of pace. Rick and Mortyâs dynamic has grown to
be far more interesting. It gave us half a season with no portal tech that imo was more interesting in general showing the show absolutely can operate without portal techâŠ
Season 7 will be definitely be exciting as well. As it feels the Show is now settled into a groove⊠and with plenty left to still dive into: Rick Prime obviously⊠but also Bird Person will most likely appear next season. President Curtis is always a hilarious character to bring into the mixâŠ
It may have felt a bit more laid back a season overall, but I feel like this was all purposely done to raise the stakes as this season brought every member of the family a shining moment all the while the being great setting up for the eventual BIG episodes we know are still coming.
I agree. Season 6 was the best season since season 3. Not to say 4 and 5 were bad, but they weren't overly amazing either; just okay and slightly above average for some episodes (That incest episode needs to just not exist). Season 6 is the first time in a long while where every episode in the season kept me captivated and I enjoyed every second of it. In my opinion, there was no overly bad episode this season; plus we got a little of everything (minus evil morty). We finally have seen and met prime Rick, we briefly saw the original world our Rick comes from, we learned prime Rick is actually our Morty's original Rick (which is wild to think about), we got closure on the Cronenburg Smith family (albeit it was sad), we're seeing Rick starting to voluntarily go to therapy on his own and see his personal growth, we've seen the relationship between Rick and the rest of the family grow, getting to know and see space Beth more, etc.
Season 6 is definitely one of my most favourite seasons of rick and morty hands down.

I kept feeling like they were laying emotional groundwork for Rick, but then it was more than half of the season. When Morty panics about how chill Rick is and Rick trying to be supportive, I thought he was going to back slide as most recoveries do, it's just part of the process. So I really do like the direction they're taking! If it was purely Rick healing and learning how to just live and there's no more conflict, it'd be kinda boring. I think next season is going to be insane if they really go down this path.
I hope this is just a theory because that would just be boring as fuck.
@@LesRequiem957 Just curious, what do you mean would be boring?
@@terrafletcher1930 The emotional ground work thing. I'm not clicking with the whole "better" Rick thing. It makes the whole narrative boring for me.

Imagine if there is a Bethâs Mom out there and sheâs a badass who spends her life running away from every possible Rick, since they would all come after her if find out there is one alive.
That's kind of the thing I'm curious about. Rick of all people should know that if the universe truly is infinite and there are an infinite amount of possible timelines, there is bound to be a number of them where it's the exact opposite and Diane is the one that's alive and Rick is the one that's dead.
Since we now know what the central finite curve is and that that's the thing that's limiting us and stopping us from seeing the rest of the infinite possibilities out there, there could be a future episode were finally venture past the central finite curve and see what's out there. What infinite possibilities lie outside what we once thought was already infinite but actually was just finite.
But isnt it only C-137's Diane thats dead since technically hes the only Rick that doesnt have a natural Morty since Rick Prime killed C-137 Diane and Beth.

IMO this season has been the most creative since the first 3. I also like how the writers have settled down into a groove that does not require constant escalation and can just have amazing stand alone episodes.
I think the episodeâs commentary on Star Wars is a metaphor for Rick & Morty and its relationship with its fans. Demands for myth arcs vs episodic stuff, Rick having emotions vs being Cool-Edgelord, emotional journeys vs broad conceptual stuff⊠these are generational divides, and different camps telling each other (and the creators) what the show is supposed to be, because âI own Star Wars.â

The Jerry fortune cookie episode was an absolute BANGER.
This season was something new looking at the different dynamics within the show. More hype for season 7. đ

Iâll be honest. Iâm glad they didnât do a big Rick prime episode. This season wS all about the main cast and their development. I feel like a Rick prime episode would have been to cramped or forced. So overall, I was happy with the acknowledgment of Rick prime without having to deal with him yet.
I literally just finished the last episode. Impeccable timing
My favorite joke of the episode was Rick with the dots

I think one thing that can be said about this season is that it may not have had any episodes that were exceedingly amazing, or, in my opinion, bad, but it did have a consistency in quality that R&M doesn't often have. I personally think that's a great development for the show and series going forward. I hope they can pop out more bangers, but this was a pretty, overall, good season. season 6 is my favourite season since 2. its not perfect but its on the right track to becoming great again.
I can't tell you, I was SO bummed that good Rick was a robot. But, I think this episode was focused on being a lead-in for season 7. I assume we'll see a good confrontation, though maybe not a victory, whenever it airs. I'm hoping we get it in June of next year or sometime before Christmas
A great season. Started watching the series this time last week. Binge watched 5 seasons in a week. This the first season I watch as it progresses.
I still think the first Episode of this season was the best episode of this season, though over all I think the was a strong season
the star wars thing is obviously an allegory for how people view the newer seasons of rick and morty. people believe they're entitled to a specific version of rick and morty's progression in the story and quality and the writers at every turn seem to purposefully troll the viewer and give them allllmost what they want, but not quite just to piss people off, which funnily enough keeps people watching to see what will eventually happen
Iâm so pissed that good Rick is gone and was never real, I was getting so sick of the overwhelming cynicism of season 3-5 and this season was such a breathe of fresh air. I hope Rick continues to grow as a person in season 7

While I am not a huge fan of the Disney Era Star Wars when I see younger people loving the new movies I can't help but smile. I can't mindlessly hate something that is giving kids the same endless joy the original trilogy gave me.
That type of hate isn't healthy.
It's really crazy that people don't see the patterns. Already gotten comments here about how "Uh actually the storytelling is just bad" as though those weren't the exact things being said about the prequels.
Nobody is saying you're wrong for disliking any of these movies, but treating the fans of the new stuff poorly is the exact pattern I'm talking about. And after all the hate the prequel kids grew up with, it's even sadder to see them perpetuate that same cycle.
Thank you đ the force awakens was the first movie of Star Wars I saw in cinema because the prequels came out when I was pretty young and the original was before I existed. Itâs because of my dad, Iâve always known about Star Wars but watching episode 7 for some reason that was the spark that actually got me interested. Yes that trilogy isnât perfect but as you said, hating it the way so many older fans blindly do isnât healthy. I um âjoined the band wagonâ on hating the prequels a few years back and I hadnât even watched them đ so um yeah thatâs my experience with âblind hateââŠum looking back I regret joining that crowdâŠshould have actually given it a chance instead of being a sheepđ¶ and Iâm worried my dad (whoâs an older fan) is becoming a âsheepâ on hating the sequel trilogy đš
As a "feeds on canon" fan, this season really left me hanging in regards to the whole "Rick Prime" storyline. Loved the progression of Rick's character (including his regression from Ep 8 to 10). A bit disappointed regarding Morty, as in the things that happened to him didn't seem to have that much of an impact.
I loved some of the casual episodes "Night Family" and "Full Meta Jackrick". The final wasn't that great, but it gave us something to look forward to.
Season 6 has been the best season since 1 & 2 in my opinion. I feel like the pace is back and fast like was was earlier on. Jerry Smith has been a bad ass this season. I don't care that they don't strictly follow a story line from one episode to the next, it's not Batman. The Previous Leon episode had me in tears.
Johnny mentioning vat of acid without talking about the view from halfway down is so cursed
I'm trying to break my patterns!!!
Season 6 was as perfect as it could be, a solid bunch of episodes
Really enjoyed the reviews bro! I'm a massive fan of the show as a whole, but couldn't agree more with your stance on this season. I have very high hopes for 7 though since this felt like a bridge season
I honestly really loved this season, maybe my standards are lower after season 5 but this season was great. Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 were all amazing imo
Iâm happy with what the writers did. They spent this season writing in scathing critiques and Iâm always for that. It was basically a 10 episode lecture to any uncompromising fanbase. Almost like, âShut up weâll do it when we want to,â with the finale being that, âWEâRE DOING IT NEXT TIME! HAH! AND YOUâLL WAIT FOR IT! HAH!â Theyâve already broken the fourth wall so many times theyâre creating more walls to break.
Im glad they only teased the rick prime showdown! It wouldn't be satisfying if it was wrapped up in one episode. Also can we talk about the roy callback in the post credit scene? Makes me feel like they're gonna expand on that next season too. Overall, I'm happy with s6, even if it's not the best out of all of them
Edit: oh and I think this season of character development was important for the setup of the Rick Prime saga. I think the stakes will feel higher now that Rick and the family (especially Morty) have changed in varying degrees. But eh, we'll see next year
There was a callback?
@@gracekim25 post credit scene
Can't believe people hate the character development in this show. It's amazing.
Bullshit, I believe people DO like it. I believe Roiland hates it.
The multiverse makes it hard though, how can you relate to characters who seemingly reset every couple seasons? Like weâve had three Jerrys, two summers and three beths
You have such a positive outlook on our fav fictional characters, please continue to do Rick & Morty.
I loved this season for a few of the reasons you stated Beth doing more & Jerry growing a slightly bigger pair . Summer is baller, love her đ
But yes Season 5's finale was a banger, humming the song now.
The biggest difference between season 3 and 6 is that 3 was the start of massive disappointment among fans, almost like a betrayal to the writing so far. Where season 6 seems like a hopeful if not questionable Turing point for the better of the series and writing. I do not know how season 7 will turn out, but I hope it finds its footing well.
"moving forward"
I can't really say I have a favorite season as my favorite episodes are scattered throughout all the seasons
The season 6 pilot was probably my favourite episode of the whole show. We already knew part of rick backstory and we knew that he wanted revenge, but that episode really emphasises the emotional effect it had on him. Keeping the day it happened on a time loop, creating an AI of his dead wife to haunt him, it was the worst thing that ever happened to him. It turned him into an uncaring killer, when literally just seconds before they died he was about to give up science for his family
Season 6 is my favorite of the show so far. So many really really good episodes. One of the most lore packed episodes of the show as well as an episode potentially promising the most lore packed season of the shown
This was a good season, but I can't help but feel like we made no real progress. This season started setting up Rick Prime and a positive development, and it ended by doing the exact same thing, plus undoing Rick's character development.
It's almost as if the writers have a plan, but were given way too many seasons so now they're trying to move things as slowly as humanly possible. I don't even trust that the next season will be about chasing Rick Prime.
What real progress? This isn't fucking therapy. Honestly glad this shit wasn't real. It was ruining Rick and Morty.
What do you mean? Rick was a good person this season, giving pissmaster a hero's death, helping jerry and becoming friends, this season built his character tenfold
The ROY episode was phenomenal
Wait wait wait, just thought about it. Ricks take Mortys with them so that they can't be detected. But Rick prime doesn't have a Morty. So couldn't Rick just track him by his genius waves?!
Never explained
Addressing the Star Wars fandom argument, yes the older generation always judges the new stuff, but rightfully so. The original generation had reasonable gripes with the prequels, but the prequel generation didnât care because they saw it as kids and therefore didnât judge it as harshly because they were kids, then they grew up and have nostalgia for it and now when the sequel came out they judged it harshly because to be fair it is really bad. Itâs not a case of âyou arenât playing with my toy correctlyâ thatâs not whatâs happening here, truth is the movies are genuinely not that good, but whichever ones come out when you are a kid you enjoy because, guess what you were a kid when you first saw it. The Star Wars franchise are kids movies, so by an adults standards they are not good, they just arenât. Itâs the exact same phenomenon that occurs with any other kids movies. You are only going to look fondly on kids movies that came out when you were a kid because you were the most impressed by it and formed the best memories of it when you were an easy to impress kid. No adult watches a new kids movie in theatres and thinks itâs a masterpiece, because kids movies are made to impress kids, not adults. We are not jealous of kids having fun, we just arenât having fun because we arenât kids anymore, thereâs nothing wrong with that. I donât have to enjoy the new trilogy because itâs genuinely bad and Iâm not an easy to impress kid anymore, the prequels by my own movie standards are bad movies, but because of the fond memories I have made with those movies I still love them. Itâs not jealously, itâs being objective.
TLDR: I donât have fun watching new kids movies and why would I? Iâm not the target audience, it wasnât made for me. Just because I donât like it means Iâm jealous of the kids that do? No, thatâs a stupid argument. If these kids enjoy it good on them, Iâm happy for them, they can enjoy it like I enjoyed the prequels (even though they are objectively bad) when I was a kid, but by no means do I have to force myself to like a new kids movie when it is literally horribly written and lazy.
Bringing this back to your toy analogy, the fans arenât upset and jealous that the kids enjoy playing with a toy that they donât enjoy playing with, the fans are upset because instead of improving on the somewhat mediocre (but impressive at the time as a kid) toy that they played with as a kid, they just made the same carbon copy, cheap, lazy, toy that is just entertaining enough to impress the kids but isnât going to make any adult happy. This is what is happening, the toy was made for children, not all ages, thus, not all ages enjoy the toy. Itâs not that hard to understand, the new movies are made to impress kids, not adults, thus the adults are not impressed. Donât try and belittle the opinion of an adult just because they donât like a kids toy, itâs a kids toy, it wasnât made for adults to enjoy it, stop being holier than thou itâs a bad look
Definitely felt like tease for sure, but looking forward to season 7...hopefully it comes out a little sooner...fingers crossed for summer?
I really liked this season, unlike seasons 4 and 5, I was quite bummed when I realized this was the last episode and we weren't going to get more for at least a year. When seasons 4 and 5 ended, I just thought "alright then, hopefully next season will be better"
This season feels like part one of a bigger season
So excited for season 7
10 episodes and it's already a full season. They really are going to make it for 70 years, aren't they?
I love your videos so much man. You go so in depth in areas that I really don't understand in the series, like the Star Wars analysis. I've never seen a Star Wars movie, and I have no kind of movie franchise that I'm attached to. I saw that whole dispute between Morty and the president as just childish and jealous, but being able to hear commentary on that from someone who knows the history behind the subject at hand opened me up to a whole different way of viewing the narrative. Just bravo. I wish you would do videos on Archer! I would love to hear you speak on that show.
One thing i did not expect to hear is the triple jump music in this video
I have 3 theories: 1. Rick Prime rules a Citadel of Ricks and tied his life to each of them, so he became immortal and can be everywhere 2. Rick Prime came from the universe which is not included in Central Finite Curve 3. We were not see the whole conversation Rick Prime with Rick C137, but know that Rick Prime betrayed Rick C137, so I think the conversation could have been like this: C137- you will not offend my family for refusing, real? Prime: I will never offend MY family;)
Rick prime should show up in the last episode as some screen from his perspective something like in the first episode with Rick prime killing wild Jerry but a bit longer, some kind of Thanos's post credit.
i was kinda dissapointed with the whole season tbh cause i was expecting rick to finally find peace knowing that hes defeated rick prime but we didnt get that and instead just one off episodes (i think) that didnt really play into the stoy too well. Another thing is that i hope they dont do 10 seasons as that would just extend what they've already built on so it would get boring.
The night family was great. I love that they went for a different feel.
Season 6 really brought my love for that show back
I would love to see a flashback episode on how Rick's relationship with President Curtis came to be
Good season overall I think, I enjoyed every episode. The Fortune Cookie episode was probably my favorite one, esp as it still pops into my head occassionally.
I love living in Australia where rick and Morty has all the episodes without having a VPN
this actually shows me how if any fandom stays around long enough inevitably goes thru these stages
They really just need to kick Rick out of the house already
Finally saw the finale and the title now makes all the sense in the world
This season reminded me the most of season 1; loosely connected episodes that mostly do their own thing, which feels at odds with the more canonical story in the background. And considering how much meta-commentary we've seen as well, it wouldn't surprise me if this was the writers' way if saying they can't really go back to that style anymore.
I didn't really link with this season as much as others ( my favourite was season 5) but I can respect why other's like it
I'm gonna give them this: this is the first season after 3 that doesn't feel like the show is going against us (the watchers) pointing and laughing to us for caring about the show LOL, as such it was enjoyable and fun and the long story arc elements where there enough not to feel irrelevant ^^
Oh they're still doing it, but not as obvious as before and it helps that we understand WHY.
oh I know, waay less obnoxiously yeah... that's why I said it didn't "feel" like it ^^
@@aliengranpa Yeah they still do it, but at least they still managed to give some good stories on the side. Insulting the audience didn't take as much time.
I would love it if that were true but I still felt that a lot honestly
I thought the fortune cookie episode could have been great if Jerryâs fortune was different. Towards the end it was veering into the sperm episode âweird sex stuff!âŠâŠâŠplease laughâ
Imagine if Rick and Morty aren't even in the first 8 episodes next season, since they're working in the background, but then show up for a 2 part season finale fighting Rick Prime (or at least one of him).
The robot with the lightsaber eyes was the funniest part of the finale.
but isn't it laying the ground work being more canonical? like id argue everything we see and even dont see this season impacts the characters or story in away that moves them forward like jerry becoming more confident. That stuff will be cannon every season after
I feel like all the explicit 4th wall breaks are going to sum up into either acceptance or defiance of the fact that Rick is aware that he is a TV show and will cease to exist once the writers run out of ideas/wrap things up. The ultimate meta-ing the meta jokes.
Season 6 was a roller-coaster of a season. Through a big premiere to a controversial stuff to a Christmas special. This season is a wild one. I love it, I hate it, I kinda in a middle.
I think it is smart to have a season (which I personally like a lot) that gives the character time to grow and evolve, as well as teasing out a storyline for the next season.
I dunno this season has been pretty canonical it's set about tying loose ends addressing fan perspectives as well as laying ground going forward. After this finale I feel more inclined to look at the series as a whole seeing there's a connection between Rick being aware of the show and his initial hunt as he moved his conspiracy board to level 10.
the starwars thing is meant to also be a side by side showcasing about the rick and morty fandom and how the old fans want something else in the show
This Is the only channel I will watch critically break down Rick and Morty, I like the lack of condescension.
as with the season 3, on its own it is a decent episode, but as the finale it is lacking
Nothing has hit the same as the season 2 finale apart from the season 5 finale.
4/5 of the season 5 finale were dumb meta jokes or unnecessary plots which felt VERY out of place with the actual end. it blows
They should take an extra year and a half to make it and release seasons 7 and 8 simultaneously. Honour the promise that season 7 is exclusively looking for Rick Prime. Have season 8 episode 1 reference that the search is behind them without spoiling its outcome, make references to Pokemon releasing pairs of games simultaneously, find a way to put a twist on the format in episode 6 or 7, maybe bring back the time travel police testicle monsters. Then tease plot lines with Evil Morty or the Incest Space Baby or Bird Person.
Huge teases and season 1 references. Rick says in ep 1 s 1
Nighttime is 1/2 of all time as said again by Night summerâŠso many more!
I really hope we see Evil Morty again
I grew up with Prequel era content and there is nothing about young Sequel trilogy fans or lack thereof, that I envy. I just want content made by people who love and understand Star Wars
Damn are you an OT fan in 2005

I've been a fan of both the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy since the 2000s.
The problem with the sequel trilogy. Interesting new characters. Terrible story execution and writing.
Obviously the actors shouldn't be blamed for why the movies weren't good.
If anyone deserves the blame its Disney and lucasfilms.

A vast majority of the directors and showrunners of current Star Wars aren't even fans and are inexperienced.
I want to be hopeful about the upcoming Rey Skywalker Star Wars movie BUT the choice of director whose only set credits are documentaries doesn't give me much hope đ
The mandalorian season 3 was a disaster
Book of boba Fett was literally one of the worst Star Wars shows
The only good shows have been Andor and Kenobi imao
Ahsoka from what I've watch seems seems to be really boring and nothing interesting has happened. Not the best and not the worst Star Wars show. Just boring.
Also the right team has also not been that good.
You know, Keith David playing a guy with a lightsaber, thatâs pretty similar to him being Andrias in Amphibia, no?
I kind of wish we'd had more of robo-Rick. Like, maybe if the season was reshuffled so the Knights of the Sun had happened an episode earlier, and maybe robo-Rick was there for the Story Lord episode. It seemed like a cool rug to be pulled out from under us as we start to see character development in Rick over the course of a few episodes, only for it to turn out it was a robot and the real Rick has been developing, but in a different direction.
I've really been on and off with liking the season's since season 3 but for me personally this season revived my love for Rick and Morty. With every episode that came out I kept feeling like this season would be my absolute favorite and if I had to rank this season overall I'd say it was a solid 8/10. I really loved this season and every episode was great.
I think this was a stronger finale than season 3âs but I do feel kinda cheated by the tease of more canonicity. There WAS more but I also hoping for slightly more serialization. Iâm happy with the season overall this has been the most consistent season weâve gotten in terms of quality in awhile. Solaricks is my favorite episode of the season and probably favorite season premiere weâve gotten so far. Iâll need to sit with this season a bit more to sort out my feelings but Iâd probably rank it above seasons 3 and 5 at least.
What happened to the small lightsabers from the lightsaber gun that fell through the Whitehouse spaceshipđ€?
I really really enjoyed this season. I felt like the episodes were all very high quality and the jokes were on point. The Meta episode was a big standout for me personally
Evil Rick has the last version of Bethâs mom calling it now.
I loved this episode!!!!!This was *far* from my favourite season but this one episode was just too good I canât wait to watch season 7.
I thought Rick was probably a robot, due to something he said in the previous episode. The phrasing of him saying to Morty "stop asking what you're asking" sounded suspect and from that moment I thought he was a robot. He could have just said "stop asking if I'm a robot" but something about "stop asking what you're asking" just sounds weird
Is there something more with Mortys confidence/aggression and him almost assassinating the president in future episodes?
I think this season was over all very strong. I think it wets the appetite for whatâs coming in the future with the final episode and I also think itâs going to get even better with season 7, itâs gonna be fun! Strap in people!
Hey good video, but could i know the name of the song at the very beginning please?
I agree with the overall season reaction, but I personally think Analyze Piss was pretty stellar. Loved it
This season is as canonical as it gets ! There was just alot building
I think them killing off the "best version" of jerry possibly builds up to the psychopathic evil jerry from the comics. I think thereâs alot more in store than what we are expecting.
I loved this episode (and the whole season, to be honest) - The minor thing that is bothering me (and it is very minor), is that the President obvious already had lightsaber technology, since he was able to build the lightsaber bots - why was Morty's so important to him? Maybe I missed something or someone can explain their thoughts on this.
