Love what you did for your Dad! When my parents sold the dairy farm dad kept the Massey Harris 30 standard that my Grandpa bought new in 1949. Dad and I started restoring the old Massey and was apart for years. Dad would mess with it here and there and Dads health starting to decline do to his lungs. I thought to myself I need to get this tractor painted and put back together before dad is gone. That spring I would work on that tractor every spare moment I had and had it together and running by summer. Just like your Dad he never showed emotion but mom said when I pulled that old tractor out of the shed and parked in front of the big picture window of house he was very happy. He never thought he would see the old Massey together looking like new. Unfortunately the following winter Dad passed away. Enjoy your time with your Dad working on that old tractor. You’ll make memories you’ll never forget.
I just happened upon your video. What a great thing to see a son do something so kind for his pop. I thank you for the sharing a memory you created for you and your pop. God Bless you. The world needs more of this portrait of love.
Very nice indeed. Your Dad's heart was ''touched in a way''' that only could come from the special love of his son. I've heard lots of Father & Son stories that included their old tractors and the deep bonding they had with them. Greetings from Carolina.🚜
Although the Model D ONLY has 2 cylinders each one of those cylinders has a little more displacement than the very famous Jeep inline 6. A 'next farm over' neighbor that ran a 70 cow dairy had 4 tractors, 2 Model D's and 2 Model AR's. They all sounded like they had a 600 RPM red line and just kept chugging along They were never in a hurry but got things done in their own time. I miss that exhaust sound.
That is such a heartwarming story to add to the end of all the stories that old D could tell.
A good son

Lol. My dad caught me popping wheelies on our BR once when I was a kid. Boy was he mad. I wasn’t allowed to drive it for over a year after that.
That Paul Harvey clip 👌
Great story! Your dad sure looks happy 😀
Thank you, yeah he’s pretty stoked about it. Pops by the shop 2-3 times a week to tinker on it
