I had a friend who loved old JD tractors. He rebuilt several very old ones. My favorite was a "Dual Fuel" tractor. I think it was from the '40s. I think he would start it on gasoline and then switch to the other tank. He said it would run on almost any fuel. Unfortunately, Clyde died during Covid. You would have loved seeing all his old JDs. As I recall he had about 6 of them, all antiques.
Really looking forward to this tractor project!
Good morning Brock. I really enjoyed this video. It's always great to see old iron come to life again. And it's even better when your family is there to help. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂
Carb is definitely rich. Great to see multigenerational videos!
Got love those pop in Johnny’s
I like the old tractors i need to get into my old ford 861 this fall.
Can't beat the sound of an old JD working and lugging down. I have an old MF 10 horse. Kind of the same way but not quite.
My Grandpa had a John Deere. As kids (1950s) called it putt putt bang. Lol
It definitely need a carburetor adjustment. It was running on the rich side. Could see some black smoke.
Nothing runs like a Deere!
Old john deeres and harleys,,,,,,,just love to hear them breathe……
Left side of carburetor is the idle mixture setting. Right side of carburetor is the load mixture setting. PTO & clutch have to be engaged for lift to work. Power up, gravity down.
Loved this video Brock !... Would love to see it pulling that 2 bottom plow...
Brock, I love old JD tractors. I used to rake hay back in the late 60's with one of those for my uncle when I was about 10 years old. Love the sound. Cant wait to see more of it.
Hi Brock and family!
I think the PTO needs to be engaged to get your hydraulics and lift arms to work. I think there's also a way to select between your rockshaft and your hydraulic outlets. I have a 39 B with no hydraulics and a 53 60 so they're both just a little different than yours.
Love your model A…. It def. is burning too rich. I could see the black smoke when you were pulling back into the hut. It’s a real Gem of a tractor! 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍
Always good to see you and your working on a project or just messing with the ol deere
In your spare time, maybe u can do a refurnished video series on your jd 🤪
