- Join me as I travel to the Navajo Nation Reservation in Arizona to train their PD. As a former Green Beret, I had to be proficient in the application of a combat handgun while deployed operationally throughout the world. I have seen and employed many different applications to enhance my speed and accuracy in a combat handgun situation. Here, I talk over the important combat handgun fundamentals of “Stance and Grip”. In this video, I explain how I have adapted the basic fundamentals of pistol marksmanship to enhance my combat shooting. Understand the mindset needed to be affective in combat. Understand how I have taken forms and teachings from martial arts and athletic sports to enhance my balance, power, footwork and reactive speeds.
Tu Lam (Retired U.S. Army Special Forces- Green Beret)--23 Years Full Spectrum Warfare, U.S. Army Special Operations worked throughout 27 countries worldwide. Team-Leader assignments in Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Hostage Rescue, Direct Action and Counter-Terrorism Operations in permissive and non-permissive environments. Composite Special Forces team training and development team leader. Founder/CEO and Director of Training and Research Development for Rōnin Tactics Inc.

Man, lately i find myself looking forward to Ronin releasing the "How Tu" series of videos. UNBELIEVABLE amount of free knowledge without any b.s. Thanks for the videos Mr. Lam. Its helped me change my shooting philosophy.
what meaning of "philosophy" ?
@@makarov-qp6mp Keeping my mind open and always being a student. No matter what level I think I may be, always be a student. Ive changed my outlook on posture and transition kinesiology just from watching the "How-Tu" videos.

He's a very good teacher. He knows he's one the of most elite soldiers on this planet, and still always preaches fundamentals. He's very confident, yet humble. Props
There are way to many "experts" teaching. Including former special operations. Most aren't good. This guy is a diamond in a sea of coal
Agree
yeah agreed, but also if it works for someone and they are able to do it all quickly and effeciently in their own style it works i guess. They shouldnt be teaching in that way though cuz its an individual thing
Dude, you're not lying!!!! It's actually quite sad seeing the fakes and all the tactical theatrics out there. Just had this conversation with some youngsters (21-26 yr olds) today. This damn dude is the real deal for sure. I would be honored to be trained by him.
Why'd you say you're an idiot I'd say any special operations guy could train somebody to shoot😅😅 I bet you're not one of them
18min just isnt enough. We need longer videos!
NgArclite He has them on his Ronin Tactics website. You can rent various videos for 90 days. There amazing!
NgArclite Excellent Teaching Sir! Dr. Hull
And better Audio
you can support his company by sign up for the court
The MOST important lesson...... "empty your cup". -B
Being Native Amerian it was cool to see you work with these officers.. I wish the Nez Perce Nation got this kind of instruction. I've been trying to figure out grip (I still am) but watching your videos on both rifle and pistol has been helping me improve my stance, grip, and point of aim. I'm still struggling with grip but it's a work in progress.. I just hear you when it flips telling me to slow down and grip the gun. Thank you for your service Tum, both while you were in and what have done for your country after.
good stuff
Am I the only one that gets giddy when I see a Ronin notification?
John Rain I do the same!
Sounds like high blood pressure
John Rain when I’m at work and get a notification I head straight to the toilet and take a 15 minute shit so I can watch
The fact this is free on CZcams is what makes America great.
I love how he explains trauma instead of precision! So many guys do not understand combat effective injuries over marksmanship. I called “poking holes in the bucket”. Paint the room red. One hole in each lung 🫁 is better than two holes in one. Sick but true!
Holy sh**...you came to NPD and I didn't even know about. Wow this is awesome. And the lessons here are life saving Thanks Ronin.
That tea cup story, it woke me up about learning and moving forward. Thank you sifu!
The more I watch of this man, the more I see Miyamoto Musashi's Training techniques and practices, come to life on screen. It is so blissful and beautiful. "The Way" has changed so much since sword fighting... It would be an honor to train with him.
I love how Tu ties in his stories with the current lesson. Amazing teacher. I got to get to a class.
experience is the best teacher
A true educator. I always learn from Master Lam. Love the grip, stance and relax draw tutorials. We've all been trained differently for so many years. Why? Who wrote that book? Here is a warrior who has put these things to the test and KNOWS what works and what doesn't. The LE community should really re-evaluate the way we qualify and train our people. Just because that's always the way it was done doesn't mean it should remain so. God bless, stay safe.
Ronin needs to train everyone who does action movie's to show the viewers how quick gunfights really are....
I'm literally waiting for a new video to come out. Great value is given by this man, salute! This is the best channel out there! Great job!
Thanks for another great video Tu !! This fills the middle ground until I can manage to snag a seat in one of your classes.
Even after taking Tu’s courses, watching every video, interview, podcast, etc, I’ll always find myself walking away with details on the fundamentals that I still need. Appreciate these “How-Tu” series! 🙏🏻👊🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Brother for all the support! Hope all is well.
@@ronintacticsinc beside all, soooo handsomely handsome 😊
Every time I watch these videos I learn another intricacy I missed previously. Thanks Tu, youre the man!
You’ve got the best videos on CZcams. Thank you for sharing you’re knowledge with us, and for free no less. Just insane.
Great advice sir thank you for your service, and time.
Yes please more videos like this just made me realize my grip is my big problem man i am ready to go back to the range an put this to use Thank You for Your Service
Thank you for your sacrifice and your well made videos and the simplicity of your instructions
Excellent instruction on breaking down the grip. Its one thing to intuitively know what's effective, its an entirely different thing to make it understandable. My hat is off to you!
Woke up in the morning with a notification of new video. I watched the video before brushing my teeth. Thank you for your service
So wise. So insightful. Id love to take a class of his. One of a kind. He has experienced more in his life than any of us ever will.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
I truly appreciate you passing this on to us. Giving it away for free is an amazing gift.
Thank you Mr. Lam...!!! I love the way you present the concept and the breakdown of the "why" that concept is employed...!!!
Love the Tactical side of your lessons but truly enjoy the philosophy behind what makes you Tu Lam.
Mr. Ronin thank you for your Service and for taking your time to make these humble teachings your priority. God bless you and your family always.
I've watched a bunch of trainers videos, this guy is the one that makes me feel like I'm learning something. I hope I can one day make it to some of his classes.
sir, I admire your drive to help people with the skills they need to stay alive and save lives! a true patriot! Thank You.🇺🇸
This guy’s knowledge is insane. Very intelligent and knows his shit I honestly can’t believe these videos are free! True saint!
Thank you for all your hard work. Nothing but respect. I could learn so much from you
Practicing this at the range everyday thank you Sensei Tu
Gotta love this man's attitude 💪
All of this knowledge is amazing, thank you.
Tu is the man! Thank you for the content and even more so Thank You for your service! 🙏🤙
Every one of your videos are full of priceless info
Great info, always looking forward to your videos!
This dude radiates excellence. What he has learned, seen.. experienced.. not many can relate. Absorb his words.
I've watched a lot of educational videos. IMO - Tu Lam is without a doubt one of the best instructors I have watched.
Greatest instructor of all time. Beyond his education, history and experience, the VALUE is Tu's ability to comprehensively elucidate and TRANSFER all that content to the viewer effectively for immediate deployment. The depth and wealth of content provided here - for free - regarding the innovations, improvements and implementation to Combat Pistol, stance & etc... is nothing short of fuckin monumental.
Love the no BS, straight-forward instruction. Keep up the awesome work!
love your instructionals man. very admirable personality and mindset. Liked and subbed!
Love everything so much knowledge
Tu, it is SO cool to see you training with Diné. Sometimes the Res feels like a third world country, and those dudes need all the support and training they can get. Kudos to you AND them for putting in work!
Excellent information and explanation of WHY the techniques work vs previously taught techniques. Thank you.
Gah I love this. Just the simple articulation of stance alone. Paraphrase: “If you’re crouched down, you’re having to stabilize everything else as well as grip.” Makes too much sense. The pinky grip as well. I gripped my handgun while he was running through that and realized I already didn’t grip with my pinky. Never even noticed. That’s the absolute difference between a professional and a good teacher. The ability not only to do the thing but to break it down with logic/reason in a way that makes sense to those learning. Thanks Tu
Thank you very much for the knowledge, keep it up!
A pure gold class... Thanks a lot sensei❤
Always enjoy learning from you.
Woodland camo ftw!! Great video and knowledge, thanks Tu 😁
Thank you for sharing knowledge. Thank you for your service.
What an incredible teacher.
Wow thank you for your service and making these videos
Thanks for teaching my Navajo brothers and sisters out there.I hope they picked up some good training and I am still waiting for part 2 to this ;)
I'd like to see Tu explore the history of native American warriors a little bit. It's very different but has some parallels to samurai era warriors. Plus the native Americans were pretty much the masters of guerilla warfare.
I really like his attitude about the work he does. It is about life and not shooting or more simply conflict. Conflict is life.
What I like about him is he's giving you real world tactics. I wish I learned this way before I retired from LE.
I'm baffled how much info he's giving us and how to properly shoot. I was so into being tactical and everything and lately I tried to add some competitive shooting info to my skull. Tu just taught me really important things. Less tactical, be more relaxed by being in a stance and not going all tactical and shit. Remember the line when doing the stance and remember the wrist. No broken wrist.
I learn so mutch from your videos thanks for it
Finally he is releasing content!
Love the back-drop... such a beautiful scenery..
This dude is AWESOME! ABSOLUTELY no bullshit with him and his experience shows it all
This is cool he’s training the Navajo Nation PD. I’m from the reservation and our police force is small compared to the amount of land within the reservation. They definitely need this training as well.
Subscribed.. Best videos I found. Thanks you for your service
Tu Lam is on another level entirely! His tactical knife skills are just as impressive as his combat gun skills.
what an amazing resource of info....Roni's pic is what you'll see when you look in the dictionary under:" Professional, Lethal, Zen like & Badass"...i'm a rookie gun enthusiast and to be able to hear & learn from an individual of Ronin's level of expertise is truly a blessing and privilege....Thank you Ronin,...for your service & training...Namaste
From an old former First Grouper...great content! You got this approach exactly right!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
idk man but whenever I see Ronin Tactics's video show some lessons, I'll grab my guns and get ready to learn...right in front of my screen.
This man just radiates competence. Tu Lam - Second to none.
Get this man the good mic he deserves. Awesome job
Man I wish I found this video earlier. I went into the range today and shot for a few hours. I thought I had a good grip but just now I tried what you said to do with the grip and god damn man. It feels 5 times better and far more mechanical advantage. Thanks for lessons you earned and sharing with us
Good info Tu, thank you.
Free knowledge! Thank you sir!
Dude your videos are awesome
What do we want!!!? More!!! When do we want it?!!!! Once a week every friday.!!! Thank you MR. Lam
👍🏻👊🏻❤️🙏 thank you sir!!!
Great information without any B.s just like always! Wish you would had some classes while you were here in Arizona.
MAN... THIS GUY IS SAVING LIVES WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE
I'm def tryna get in a class before I ship out to the Army! Love Ronin Tactics! Thanks again Tu!!
Good luck buddy and thankyou for your service!
Wait can anyone take these classes or do you have to be in some service?
@@tobe1207 Tu teaches civilians as well as MIL & LEO
best content hands down cheers!
Great break down!!!
Good stuff sir! Thanks much!
That zen lesson was so simple but very powerful!
Great video. You can never stop learning. Don’t be arrogant.
Good stuff. Thanks Ronin
Best tactical trainer period.
Such a great channel
Love you're videos Bro
1:11 that was smooth af..looked like he was floating
Truly. Goes back to how he was talking about being relaxed instead of tensed up
Honestly, it doesn't get better than this.
I practice on the range over 16 hours on the weekends, which includes dry-fire with the SIRT gun as well. While many shooting fundamentals have improved with fundamental dot torture over the past few months, I think the slightly broken left wrist might be the source of my problems. I will test it out tomorrow to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip. What a way to spend Thanksgiving after my parents have left after lunch!
Brilliant
Thanks Ronin
Nothing but respect ronin! . im going into the military im 19 yrs old. I want this.
Tu is an amazing man.
Solid instruction sir.
