I brought my Vietnamese wife to the US in Jan 1970 . We never had any problems with her acceptance by the Americans . We have been married for over 58 years . She is more American than some locals . Two great children ,both college grads and doing great .
congratulations
good job
I am a Filipina who married an ex Navy man. We have 3 Adult Children , 5 grandchildren. Happily married for 53 years. WE LIV3 HERE IN VERONA , WISCONSIN.
great to hear
Love good, happy stories!
53 years? You married in 1981 just after Reagan was elected during the Cold War? Amazing. I think the Filipinas of that era were more traditional.
I met my Filipina girlfriend in the U.S. 15 years ago. I was 35 and she was 30. I’m 5’11 and she is 4’10. She looked younger than her age so some people thought that she was my daughter. After 15 years of me stressing her out we look more “age” compatible 😂.
Stress will kill you. Trust and love will win in the end
@mcc0072
I currently live in philippines. My gf is 21 years old. What is age compatible? Who approval do we need. Hahahaha
🤣😂🤣😂this so funny, my husband too had similar experience, he was pissed then. That was 20 years ago 🤣😂🤣
Us she probably doesn't weigh 250 lbs.
Nice story 😅
As a Filipina, a faithful spouse is more important than being a good provider. We are the type of wives who stick with our partners through thick and thin. We have good family values and believe in God. Treat and love a Filipina right and she will do even better or even her best. Im not speaking for everyone because there are a few bad eggs. So try not to judge the whole nation by a bunch of bad ones. Good luck guys

You’re right. I’m an American who married a Filipina in Dumaguete 35 years ago and brought her to the United States shortly thereafter. She is a wonderful person and a wonderful wife.
I agree,I have been married for my Canadian husband for 15 years happy together❤️
Came across this video and its just heartwarming to watch. I like Mike's and Roy's perpective of how its like living in the Phils. It is also amazing how Roy loves her wife and the son.... very selfless. You guys are amazing....❤❤❤
thank you so much
CONGRATULATIONS ROY, FOR HAVING A HAPPY AND HARMONIOUS LIFE WITH FILIPINA WIFE. I LOVE TO HEAR YOUR STORY.❤❤❤
Thank you
Wonderful guy! I'm married to an American 37 years ago as well. I also have a daughter from previous relationship. She was five when my husband and I got married. We have three girls and three grandkids. I'm so happy to know that you and your wife are happily married. God bless to you and your family!
Thanks for sharing!
I really applaud Roy for actively looking for Filipinos and groups in the US for his wife. It's difficult for newcomers to adjust sometimes! Great interview as always, Mike!
thank you and enjoy your vacation
Winning jackpots 😂
I like your style Mike. You’re really a good model for us. Responsible, honest, trustworthy. Thank you. I agree with you on the Taiwan situation Mike. I can tell your guest lives in the past as a history buff.
Thank you again Mike.
I appreciate that!
@mikesphilippineretirement , yeah Mike, I've tried to communicate with u, but u refused! So life goes on, I can live without u!

Roy, you are philosophically sound and practically wise.
I Like how your mind sees and analyses things; from here, good sensible decisions follow..
Roy is a good man
You are becoming the number one interviewer, I love how you relax the person and it flows so easy from there. Great interview again , your the parkinson of interviews, complete professional
Wow, thank you!

Sir Roy is right..soo many good professionals in Philippines but opportunities are just not coming in...so going abroad is an alternative! You are a good dad to think of your son's future!👍🇧🇭🇵🇭
Well said
Arizona has a dynamic filipino community.... friendly and hospitable like the Philippines
@estherriley, I'm in Arizona and where's this Filipinos community?
thanks for letting us know that
This was a great story to hear with a lot of information on it ! Loved your conversation.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thankfully I’ve already got tons of filipina/o friends here already. They are so excited about meeting Annabelle, and visa/versa.
sounds great
Comment to Roy my wife and I had nearly the same 5 year plan except we are now only 6 months from our big move. My wife got her unconditional green card a citizenship came right after. She only needed 3 years living in the US and she is now a US citizen. Actually having to reapply for her dual citizenship.
I’m not there yet but the plan seems to be working. We intend to start building in July next year on the 350 sqm property we already purchased in a gated community.
Good luck
Thank you for sharing
Fantastic conversation with a ton of similarities to my story. Super interview. The kids are always the holdback and us parents sacrifice our lives for our children and that’s just fine as long as they turn out successful, happy and appreciative.
I completely agree with you Charles
Our kids are everything
Couldn't agree more Charles

Mike nice interview. He seems to be a great guy.
Very nice man Jude
Im happy there are a lot of men here in the comments that think more positively about bringing their Filipina to the states. Often times I read these comments and watch these videos with men and it sounds like they want to hold their women back or are afraid of their women broadening their horizons or opening their minds.
If these relationships are meant to be, it should be no problem living anywhere in the world. Restricting your women’s horizons is akin to wanting to limit their development. A marriage is supposed be mutually beneficial and in all aspects of life and personal development.
You forget the reason you went to the Philippines to find a nice Philippines girl, 8n dream land everything works out just keep telling yourself that, believe me big age gap she will eventually trade you up unless you are very rich
Its not that the men want to hold them back/broaden horizions. Its simply b/c of the deep moral decay that has occurred in the USA as it pertains to feminism these past couple of decades.
Women that come to the USA ...WILL be subjected to it non stop, 24/7. and its practically impossible to avoid the assimilation process.
If there is a large age gap difference, AND she is quite beautiful inside and out, there is a very high probability she will monkey branch to another man, period.
This has been known among the expat communities for a long time. its Expat Knowledge 101.
If certain factors in your marriage apply, DONT DO IT, or else suffer the consequences.
@Jonestrada, I was so happy when then my GF didn't want to live in America! I love America, but it's so different now! I'll be happier in the Philippines.
@@christaylor7049nope won't happen to me!!!
@@christaylor7049The reason I went to the Philippines to find a wife is because I’m Filipino. I also found a woman my age because I’m not a perv. Tell me more about me, please. 😂

My Filipina has been here for 2 and 1/2 years. She has often commented how shocked she is that nobody ever stares at us. Not once have I perceived a funny look. However, she is uncomfortable in the Philippines because everybody is staring at me. Doesn't bother me at all. They think Americans are fantastic.
We are!
We watch you because you're honest.

You do a good job of keeping focus on the subject matter, I know it’s hard not to stray too far.
I’m moving there is a few weeks to live with my Fiancée and we both plan to stay there with only vacation trips away.
I do hope to make it down to Dumaguete area later.

Thank you for sharing this information. It is good to hear the happy endings in age gap relationships. I personally need reassurance to catch and marry my 29 year old pinay,. I need to know that she can be happily married to an old goat like me.
Don't they sell LED light bulbs over there? As an electrician I am amazed by how little KVA those use. We used to have to worry about lighting in our calculations when wiring a house, or business. Today that is never a problem.
I watch you to learn tips on successfully capturing my LDR pinay. Others watch to see the lovely women you show/interview in your video's.
The politics in your area is making me nervous too.
I embarrassed my pinay when I sent her a surprise b-day gift. She doesn't want a penny from me. It must be love.
Keep up the good work, Mike. You are appreciated.
P.S.: Try keeping your video's down to a half hour. Those are easier to finish and 2 part video's will bring you more 👍👍👍's and $$$.

Traffic in the province is incomparable in Manila...you're still lucky to be in the province...im a Filipino but still hate traffic in Manila. Manilinian's just got to used to it!😅🇵🇭🇧🇭
It's like that in every, almost all cities. Depends on what time of day or holiday!
Traffic in Dumaguete is not that bad
I'm enjoying watching your content. It gives me idea if it still worth comimg back to phil. I mean lving there when we are retiring.
Mike, I just moved here to Cebu. Are you close to SM mall?
no Ayala Mall
Thanks for this. I keep getting naysayers, even my dentist, or "educated" "people," you know people who couldn't even name one island outside of just "Manilla" in the Philippines.
Your welcome
If you want to live in Dumaguete, I have a piece of land for sale over there , near Polymedic hospital 2 mins away, airport is 5 minutes away, super market 5 minutes away, t the beach is 3 minutes away, 2,555 square meters fully fenced, Ive lived there for 2 years and and spent 400.00$ for electricity and food and gasoline. I do not rent cause the house is owned by my parents . So many foreigners are living there. in Valencia 30 minutes ride.
how can you sell it if you can not even rent it out?
One thing with the credit card folks of three times is not a lot. My card hasn't been accepted either. BDO bank i think is the biggest they take forever to fix the machine. If you need money it's bad news. Also the machines fail. A few times in my year and a half. Sometimes only one atm even in the malls. Maybe have one or more cards with you.
Machines run out of money on long weekends. In Cebu at Ayala Mall never had a problem getting money
Good to hear you landed in Dumaguete. My mother is from Valencia, 25 minutes away in Dumagueter.
Oh wow!

Hey mike i just seen a vlog that came out 3 days ago about the new military bases in phililines americans are going to be,here are the locations you asked the vlogs name is the military show. And how ohilipines are getting in the the way of china taking taiwan
I will check it out Thanks
The Philippines are allowing forces from the US Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force on 7 existing Philippines military bases. There will be new funding of additional facilities on all 7 bases to act as a deterrent to protect against Chinese aggression in the South China Sea and against an invasion in Taiwan. Palawan is one of the most strategic locations. You can look up the new locations and agreements that the Philippines and the US entered into under a push from new President Marcos. The U.S. and the Philippines recently completed a joint naval exercise in the South China Sea. It was shown on US Cable news.
name the 7 bases
@@mikesphilippineretirement These are the 4 new sites: The four new sites are Naval Base Camilo Osias in Santa Ana, Cagayan; Camp Melchor Dela Cruz in Gamu, Isabela; Balabac Island in Palawan; and Lal-lo Airport in Cagayan, said Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, who briefed the media today.Apr 3, 2023
My understanding is there will be 3 other locations at existing military locations. The intent is for joint operations in the South China Sea as well as providing support for Taiwan, Japan, all of Southeast Asia and Australia. Just this past month or so there were joint operations in the South China Sea involving the USA, Australia, Japan and the Philippines. Please note it did not involve the Coast Guard cutter in Paul Cardwell's aka World Zoom's Subic Bay video. Cardwell faked that video trying to scoop Philippines CZcamsrs but that cutter is based out of Cape Canaveral patrolling the Florida Straits in the Cuba area and has for over 25 years. I know because I have been on that cutter in both Cape Canaveral and Key West. I will try to find the other 3:locations. There is a bilateral military agreement that Marcos entered into on behalf of the Philippines.
@@mikesphilippineretirement Cesar basa air base capampanga, Fort magsaysay,Lumbia air base,Antonio baytista air base,Mactan Bonito ebuen air base I could find on internet but there will be 9 and several radar and communication and support facilities throughout pbipines

I was in the military for six years I’ve traveled all over the world. I have a lot of my military buddies that actually met women in places like the Philippines, and yes, married them. They made the mistake of bringing them back to the United States because women in the Philippines are not used to men telling them how beautiful they are and once they move to the United States, they get hit on all the time and then these women talk to other American women and usually within a year your marriage is pretty much done. The guy who is on here right now saying that it’s all right to bring your wife back to the United States that’s a one and 100 that it survived. Once these women get domesticated into the United States or any other country besides their own, it’s only a matter of time. If you meet one of these women in the Philippines, you might want to retire there because it your chances are better that they are going to stay with you. And like I said, I’m not saying this happens all the time when it happens a lot.
Also stories of troops leaving women pregnant during Clark air based days. It's a risk bringing them back.
I like Wisconsonians even more than before. Sir, you look at your son and wife in such a healthy way. Filipino teenager as QB, so impressive. And if I recall, you folks gave Lombardi a job. During cold weather have her make some Tinola Manok (chicken soup). Great vibe. Subscribed.
