    Full translation user guide here:
    drive.google.com/open?id=1c0H...
    The start of the video makes me look like I have the shakes, it's just a flaky camera!
    This is a quick explanation of the 10 parameters available on most of the current Chinese scooters, especially the T11x range.
    Care should be taken when changing any parameter and make a note of your existing settings.
    P0 Wheel Motor Size for speedo calibration inches 0-99 (11)
    P1 Low Voltage Cut-off 12.0-56.0 (520)
    P2 Motor Pole Pairs 0-99 (16)
    P3 LCD Display On/Off 0 or 1 (0)
    P4 KPH or MPH 0 or 1 (1)
    P5 Kickstart 0 or 1 (0)
    P6 Cruise Control 0 or 1 (0)
    P7 Power Start 0 or 1 (0)
    P8 Power Level Dial Back 1-100 (100)
    P9 Regenerative Braking 0,1 or 2 (1)
    The P9 option is well worth investigating. You need to find the right balance here; if used in mode '2' you will lose the benefit of freewheel riding but gain battery trickle charging and if you ride in a very hilly environment, will save brake pad wear. But the electro-braking can snap in hard and unpredictably as soon as you release the throttle. If riding mostly on flat terrain, best to turn off completely. At the moment I use mode '1'.
    Extra LCD Info:
    TIME:Means Time from switching Scooter on
    TRIP: Means single trip mileage (can be reset by holding MODE button)
    ODO: Means accumulated mileage
    DST: Means range of scooter in real time time with remaining battery
    VOL: Means battery actual voltage
    CH 2:00 : Means after 2 hours scooter will sleep if not used
    Please share your thoughts...

    Based on the new infos, i wnated to test out and set the P6 to 1, so I wanted to have cruise control, but surprisly it did not go off when I pulled the brake but still accelarated like hell without pulling the throttle...was quite frightening...
    the other interesting experience that if I am riding around 25-30 km/h and want to speed up from that speed, it doesnt allow me to do so, even if i turn on turbo and 2 wheels on. But if I start from 0 km/h and accelarate continously without braking or pausing it can go to higher speed too.... Do you think it is because I change turbo/economy mode during riding or? thanks a Mate!

      P5 is a setting that ensures you 'push' the scooter before the power cuts in. I set to '0'. P7 is the power setting for quick start. I set to '0'.

    Hello Marcus. Great Work. I do have one of those Chinese scooters received two days ago with very similar controller to yours. I do have problem. Back engine stops working after few km. I am wondering if this is a matter of settings or electrical fault. Controller does not show any faults.
    Back engine goes back working after a while. What could cause it. Thank you for your help.

    • @marcusoroberts
      @marcusoroberts  Před 3 lety

      Hi and thanks Sebastian. What happens when you switch on dual motors, does the rear motor still stop and the front motor continues to work? It is not a matter of a settings. The best thing is to place the scooter on a block and run it and see if it cuts out after a while. I know it is not running under load. If it doesn't cut out, then it's probably a loose connection caused when you ride under load in a real environment.

      @marcusoroberts  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Radhu, that's correct. For a 48v scooter you could probably safely set to 32V. This is to protect the battery and the BMS. I set my 60V to 52V but could be anywhere between 43-53V.

      Hi Jonel, I guess you mean the setting for undervoltage protection, in this case P1? I would reckon for a 48v scooter around 38v-41V is fine. You would also get away with 36v but it's pushing near the low end of the battery tolerance before damage may occur.

You cannot change that if you want to zero the mileage. Much the same as a car. You can change the LCD control unit for a new one if you want 0 miles. How many miles have you done?! Do you mean the trip counter by any chance? You can reset this by pressing and holding the MODE button whilst the TRIP setting is displayed.

      Hi, no this setting is intended to 'dial-back' power and usually scooters are shipped on that setting. If the settting has a maximum of 100, then it can be set to that. If you don't feel confident enough to ride on full power, perhaps your scooter has an 'eco' setting which helps to attenuate the power - and increase range.

    Hi, thank you very much for the info, I got my 48V scooter today, I noticed that the Regenerative braking is not working, No matter the setting I choose, What I noticed is that when I slightly apply the brakes then an Exclamation sign appears. Surely it means a fault in the Regen Braking.
    It's a "Shengte" Dual suspension similar to the Emove of Voromotors. Maybe they upgraded the controller because the original manual only describes 6 P's and the display actually have 10 P's. The P9 shows 0,1,2 levels so it corresponds to the manual you have in the description. I will send it back to warranty as the store provides 3 months

      That's interesting to know, thanks for the share. So it's the usual OEM throttle/LCD you have with 10 settings and it conflicts with what's stated with the manual. The exclamation mark you describe does normally indicate an e-brake issue. I have also just encountered the same exclamation mark and am in the process of stripping it down. Again!

    • @marcusoroberts
      @marcusoroberts  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Quaid, I know that feeling. The only thing I can say is to treat the Mosfets as 'mechanical' switches working very hard in a daisy chain scenario. Heat is the enemy so keep them as cool as possible. The controllers are usually built cheap and manufacturers economise on heat sinking, so that is something you should consider modifying. In terms of riding, just don't go full power all the time. Share the load between both motors will make you use less throttle for sure, as will eco, as you correctly say. I mean, I have only had one controller go, so don't get too paranoid about it!

      Cardwell, sorry to hear. There are 4 fault codes. An exclamation mark in a circle means electric brake fault. An 'M' means motor fault. A cylindrical thing that looks like a throttle grip with a couple wires going around it means throttle fault. A box shape means a controller problem. I'm afraid it's almost certainly the LCD throttle. They can't really be repaired. Best bet is to get one from Alibaba or AliExpress. Cheers.

    • @Drey_Toth
      @Drey_Toth Před 4 lety +2

      you can set P8 to 53 or 50 then you have your desired speed on the gear mode 3. otherwise set p8 to a 100% and change gear mode to 2 and you will have a speed of around 30Km/h. you can tweak P8 more. like 85 or something like that.
