- I had a request from a woman who sold my earlier video about making hinges for my friend John's cabinet. The antique hinges on her piece of furniture had broken and she asked if I could repair them. It was an interesting challenge and I decided to take it on and improve them slightly.

Thanks, I was worried at the start that I would have to rebuild the entire hinge bodies, turned out it was just a linkage.
Even so it still looks doable. A very nice home-made design. simple enough for simple toolage.@@GuyMarsdenMakesStuff
Yes, but keep in mind that a full replacement part would have to fit perfectly in the wood recess. And the holes would need to align - which can be done with transfer punches of course. Still haven't heard from the client if she got them re-installed... @@howder1951

The antique restoration guru's just had a panic attack... Most likely fainted over the removal of the patina😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, but I think I matched the patina pretty good. That Brownells stuff work well.
