My friend John asked me to make a set of brass knife hinges for a cabinet that he is building for a customer. Knife hinges are almost invisible when installed and pricey to purchase, so I took on this challenge for the fun of it!

Are the hinge pins press fit? And that’s good enough for cabinet doors?

Yes they are press fit, but one was a bit loose so I put some CA glue in it. This is a standard hinge style that I was replicating.
