- What is up guys OP here with a new Warthunder video. In this one we take out well.......some german planes? I dont play much arcade so that was new XD But please take note of these tips and let other people know your tips down below!
Just a little thing I discovered. The aiming reticle is perfectly suited for starter biplanes and such, so if you encounter biplanes feel free to match you crosshair.
Make a video about how to not die instantly when the game starts, I get a mental break down every time I play war thunder

@@Z.O.M.G Most effective way I've found to not die, is simply get out of enemy gun range. The only time you should be within enemy gun range,, is if you have the required energy to escape them once you've engage.
Of course we all get tempted, and start dogfights when it's not advantageous (myself included).

lead indicator is center of plane, bullet travel time needs to be taken into account
The indicator is set up for a certain distance, default is 400k I think. You can change it. I keep mine at 600k.
There is one thing that is very fun and helps a bit: flying arcade without the lead indicator on. I do enjoy flying reserves without it. Lots of small targets everywhere.

depends on the muzzle velocity of what gun or cannon you are using. The german MG151/20 is slow, MGFFs are even slower. The slower the muzzle velocity, the further you have to lead. Once you are comfortable with your weaponry, try using stealth with respect of the lead circle(it doesn't exactly tell you where to lead but it's a very good indicator of your target's speed). This way the target would have a harder time evading.
I know this is a old vid but ar the part where you said lead indicater is wrong and had to aim further it is just your 15mm gun pods messing your lead indicater so the leading 1cm more is just same as without the gunpods and the indicater is set up for the 20mms
actualy the same happend with the hispanos, you need to aim further

One question though. When I first started, I was absolutely gonna buy that U.S. version Spitfire, but you mentioned it goes on sale from time to time. Does the game let you know when premium planes are on sale??
the lead indicator marks where the center of the fuselage will be in the time it takes a projectile to reach from your plane to target AT gun targeting distance (must lead more if further)! seems to me there isn't much to shoot there, better to aim for cockpit, wings, tail. also vertical targeting option allegedly compensates your reticle for bullet drop according to the gun targeting distance, but i prefer it off for more consistent aiming. basically set your convergence to your suiting and then learn how different bullets act, only use the indicator for quick judgement but trust your tracer round more
How to aim the wings etc? You target further from the wings of enemy plane?

Lead indicator is set for where the tail of the plane will be for some reason.

can i turn the alpha of the bigger circle down so its less visible? i want the actual crosshair to pop out more so i can have a clear visual for shooting

Guys, literally just ignore the aim thing and learn how to lead shot by yourself in mission editor against ai.
That thing is only accurate when you're right behind the enemy and they are just flying steady straight which is not going to happen in a pvp.
When i started ignoring the circle guide and lead my shot myself i got waaay more hits and destroy aircraft much faster too.

Please don't make videos and give advice without proper knowledge. I respect u for not immediately writing arcade off as a complete waste of time, but you obviously do not know how to deal with this game mode. You make rookie errors that honesty are unacceptable for an rb pilot of your caliber. Ab is a completely different game that requires a different play style, although basics will still carry over from both modes. check out long5hot for some basics.
