Thank you for another informative, clear, and entertaining video. There's no end to your giving spirit! And, thanks for letting us know about that magazine. I'm going to check it out.
Great! Being a beginner I did not use directional cues till now. But with your lessons, I am sure I can try to incorporate them soon. Looking forward for more of these... 🙂 And also waiting for Blister, Animal and everyone of those! 😀 Thank you!
Thank you for the clear explanation. I still have a question about the direction in which, for example, the Rider is looking. My Rider looks to the left; then if I have Man+Rider, do I read that there is news about a man or that a man is coming to visit?
It will be one or the other and you'll know by the surrounding cards which always provide the details. If the House falls near, he's probably coming over. If the Letter falls, it will be news. If the Birds, it will be gossip. The context can also answer that. If you're waiting to hear news about your husband who's in the hospital and the Rider is facing Man with the Tree and maybe the Tower, that news is coming soon. If you're wishing that your new boyfriend will stop by after work and the Rider is facing Man and you have Stars nearby, your wish will come true.
Hi Lisa. I am re-watching your directional cue videos again and I have a question for you. I am using the pixie astounding lenormand. The ship in this deck faces left. How would you read that in a 9 card box spread If energy flows from left to right. I am a little confused with that. Thanks for your help.🙂
Great question, Kim. The directional cue doesn't change the direction of the reading. It simply points to - or sends its energy - to a card it faces for some and the card above, below, behind, or ahead for others. The reading is still performed and the energy is still flowing from left to right and top to bottom. Remember this rule: direction doesn't override proximity or card order. It's secondary information just as houses, are for those who use them.
Hi Lisa again a great video but some things puzzle me. For instance the snake facing the mountain, my first instinct would be to say that the mountain, the enemy (of the snake?) is blocking the snake. Would you care to tell me what you think about it. Is this the wrong way of reading it?
No, you're not wrong. The Mountain is creating an obstacle for the Snake. You could also say that the Mountain is holding the Snake in place longer - creating longer-lasting difficulties. Adding directional cues, the Snake faces the Mountain so the Mountain is more complicated. If the Mountain is representing challenges that the seeker is facing, then the Snake just made them more complicated - their trek over the Mountain is now more treacherous. Ultimately, the answer depends upon the context of the reading, but also on individual reading styles. I don't want anyone to ever think that the messages they're receiving are wrong because they differ from another reader's. If you've established a relationship with your cards and have a common language in place, it matters not what any other reader sees. It's no different than the language that mediums establish through the symbols or impressions they receive. We all receive the same symbols and images, but how we interpret them is between us and Spirit. Does that make sense?
@@purplemoon3816 this may help as well; when the Mountain is near the seeker in a tableau or lands in a small spread (where all cards are considered near), it indicates that the seeker has an opponent or obstacle that will bring problems and blockages, the danger of which will be explained by the other cards. Having another card from the "cluster of adversaries" such as the Snake compounds the problem, it doesn't remove it or lessen it in any good way. The Snake with the Mountain would tell me that the seeker is going to be forced to deal with this problem. Does that help?
Thank you. Enjoying your book. Offers another perspective to lenormand 🥰
