- In this video, my roommate will be reacting to her very first watch of "Chopping Mall" from 1986. This was a Patron pick, and this watch and review got a little crazy here!
ABOUT:
A group of young shopping mall employees stay behind for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock-down before they can get out, the robot security system malfunctions, and goes on a killing spree.

Love you all. Rock on!
"Don't worry I've got the keys" Me "I would LOVE to see the size of the keychain you carry that on"
It’s interesting, the more I think about it, the only store in the mall that had anything like hardware or sporting goods, etc., last I checked, was Sears, which shut down some years ago.
The local mall ghat was around in the ‘80s and still exists is the one I am thinking about, it had a pet store but not in over 20 years.
What we do have these days are these outdoor shopping-centers that are about the size of small neighborhoods, it’s like if you turned a mall inside out.
The gun store is an interesting development because you can see in different mall-based Horror films the gun store is inside in some and adjacent to the mall in others.
I was 11 when this came out in theaters and needless to say at 11 I absolutely loved this movie lol So glad to see you guys react to it, I don't think I've seen more than 3 or 4 other reactions to this classic 80s horror movie.
Oh, and the "final girl" in this - was in another one of the better 80s teen horror movies like this (well not like this) - Night of the Comet which is now considered a cult classic. If you guys haven't reacted to it yet (I only found the channel about 4 days ago lol sorry!) I highly recommend Night of the Comet, it's actually quite good and well made for a low budget film.
Besides every other movie in the '60s, '70s, '80s and into the '90s, Dick Miller was in Pulp Fiction...until they cut his scene out. Guess who he played, if you don't know.
It's about a bunch of security robots that gone rogue and kills everyone in the mall.
7:19 Those characters are from another horror film called "eating Raoul". Same actors playing the same characters.
Love this film!
I still cant get over how they used the heat ray sfx from the old classic War of the Worlds movie, makes it even better xddd
I remember watching this movie on either a Friday or Saturday night on USA Up All Night in the USA channel. I watch it faithfully every weekend from 1988 to 1994 starting when I was in kindergarten
I forgot how you like trivia,so Here’s something:There was going to be a remake of this, until someone came to the startling revelation that the proposed script concerned the spirits of dead native Americans possessing store mannequins and seeking vengeance, which was not the tiniest bit like the plot of this movie, hence it was shelved. If you ask me though, which you didn’t,that could have made for a good stand alone horror film if done properly.
I’m glad you’re doing a review of one of my favorite comfort horror movies.
My ex favorite band was Gorillaz. I didn't understand about those animated band back then, but now I do since I'd found out who's Satan is.
I'd seen this movie too. All well. Might as well enjoy it.
He's not a puppy you know. 13:56
Russell Tood was also good to be the final guy in this movie but sadly, he died here.
Back when this film was being made ...I was like 8 years old & I saw this movie behind my mom & dads back. I wasn't allowed to watch it due to the partial nudity... Wishing I could have a man size domestic bot just for the right of me saying I have a life size robot as my mechanical friend. But after watching this film....I quickly changed my mind.....this movie terrified me to the point I wanted a dog instead......lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So are these two roommates or "roommates"?
I loved this movie I have it in my collection the final girl is in another horror called night of the comet I love that character in that film as well as the one she plays in this one. ALSO highfive! Someone finally tells that couple in the beginning off on their comments.
YOU GUYS SHOULD DO "ARACHNOPHOBIA" NEXT‼️🕷🫣
Agreed!
So I can see we haven’t reiterated this in awhile. This one is off the table. I will not watch it again.
you are very cute and funny together
Chopping Mall is one of the worst movies to ask someone to guess the subject matter of given the fact that the title is just a play on words and has nothing to do with the movie.
Well, you can use those things you talk about toward the end of the video to prevent being lorded over by conscienceless street criminals that don't have any respect for human life, not to mention the planned tyranny which is to be brought about as the "solution" to the problem of those aberrations and other causes of chaos deliberately brought about during the past several decades to accomplish that purpose, including indoctrinating the mindless who cannot be swayed by truth into the belief, no matter how heartless the acts committed by those "victims", that they are the ultimate victims for having suffered what every people on the face of the Earth has over the course of history, most being tremendously less deserving of it than them, because they've been doing the infinitely inhumane, unjust things they do FOREVER.
Maybe you should have delete that scene and get to the point.
I'll tell you the plot to the slasher movie They/Them because it's woke trash therefor doesn't count as a real film; nobody dies. Guaranteed.
