- These are the best levels featured in every mainline Sonic game. I believe that the levels that I have chosen in this video depict what the general consensus is for the best level in every Sonic game. Most of the picks on this list are informed by research (though some of them are derived from personal opinions). Please don't take this video too seriously as I am only making it for fun and for nice discussions in the comments section below. Please tell me what your thoughts are on the pickings and tell me whether or not I've made the wrong choices.

Man You Know Sonic Boom is Bad When Even Sonic 06 Has a Best Level and Sonic Boom Doesn't. 💀
Yeah; 06 had some good levels. A ton of fun and engaging stages are in this game, held back by the terrible and unfinished characters.
P06 proves this point in spades; even Wave Ocean is exhilarating to play through with an actually finished character.
Sonic 06 has stellar level design. I cannot stress this enough.
Finally some Quartz Quadrant Future ost appreciation.
Also, Egg Gate would be pretty good if it wasn't, like, 1 minute long excluding cutscenes.

I literally predicted a chunk of these.
This shows that there sometimes IS something in common that a perfect Sonic stage should have that most fans can agree with.
Definitely right, the most common trend I see is that stages with the most unique concept, amazing music, and gorgeous visuals seem to come out on top as the best level.
For forces my personal favorite is stage 2. The music, the scenery, that cutscene with the train, and a really good introduction to the OC.
Two things.
1. If I may offer an entry for Rise of Lyric, I’d offer up the Abandoned Robot Factory. With a slow burn, decent atmosphere, and MAIA chirping in with a very clear “I know something you don’t” vibe, coupled with the best track in the game and some pretty neat visuals presents a sense of mystery and anticipation.
2. Would you be up for a similar list for the handheld titles?
I'm sorry, but with college and everything taking off, I'm not sure if I can make any videos outside of really easy to make ones 😕

Sonic Heroes - Grand Metropolis
Shadow The Hedgehog - Cryptic Castle
Sonic 06 - Crisis City
Sonic Unleashed - Rooftop Run
Sonic Colors - Astroid Coster
Sonic Generations - Seaside Hill
Sonic Mania - Press Garden
Yeah, good picks. These weren't really my personal favorite levels but instead ones I thought the community at large enjoyed the most.
Damn I really miss playing Sonic Unleashed on my Xbox 360 I miss it so much The first game they bought me the first one I played and finished
Pretty agreeable choices, though I'd have to say for CD Stardust Speedway is pretty well liked even by me. I've heard some people say it's confusing to navigate but I've also heard people say it's peak Sonic, since it's one of the stages Sonic goes fastest in a game, the music, and ending with the best Boss fight in Sonic CD. Speed Highway I'm surprised wasn't an easy choice for Sonic Adventure like I barely hear people talk about Windy Valley but that could be a personal thing.
Sonic 2 I would've chosen Chemical Plant, and Sonic Boom I would say the first portion of the game, it's not good but it's over quickly and then the whole game just goes down hill from there.
I was thinking of putting Stardust Speedway as the choice, but for some reason I was obsessed with putting abnormal picks on the list since I didn't want the video feel stale.
@@Plexi.T I feel that, I liked all the picks anyway, really reminds me how great Sonic music is, and that goes for best or worse stages...most of the time.
Proto launch base will always be my favourite in gameplay, music and theme.
Respectfully, the best level in Sonic Heroes is Egg Fleet. Literally diving headfirst into Eggman's Armada and blowing up ships is just way too cool

Ice cap & scy sanctuary are my favorite sonic themes
For Unleashed I’d go with Arid Sands. I think it provides the biggest challenge (besides Eggmanland), and I think it’s structured the best out of the day stages. My next picks for the game would probably be Rooftop run or Eggmanland though. It is a tough pick since the game is absolutely fantastic from top to bottom.

I would say stardust speedway is the best with speed and ost. I think quartz Qaudrant’s good future ost would be the second with stardust speedway the best good future and i would say chemical plant is the best sonic 2 level

I'd say null space (stage 24) is the best level in forces. I mean, it's the only level in forces that is open.
Two things
1 rooftop run is definitely my favourite in generations and one of the best 3D stages in any sonic game
2 what do you think about frontiers? The best cyberspace stage or island ?
I didn't play frontiers as it didn't seem that good to me. My brother said that Cronos Island is the best though

In my opinion until adventure 2 the first levels are the bes
a few picks i disagree with.
especially windy valley, the 2nd half of that zone is literally just a hallway.
I didn't want to put Speed Highway even though I know its the most popular pick by far
@@Plexi.T i kinda like sky deck cuz theres like a big open area where youre running around fucking up eggmans ship. But my favorite level by far is red mountain.
