The secret is to drop your pants.... Ite imma head out
I laughed😂
Welcome to the military.
Or you can turn your pants cuff up with a double fold. Turn the cut up to the crotch of where your thumb meets your hand (about 2-3" on most people) and then turn the cuff up again a second time. Then you turn that fold under the boot bands.
Wasn’t expecting the pants drop, but thank you for this. 😂
LOL foreal
Was reading this comment and was like "Wdym 'pants drop?" And immediately hear a belt being unbuckled 😳
I’m glad I’ve found this video. The Army didn’t seem to want to teach us this in basic training, so we had to just tuck the trousers into the boots. It looked terrible.
Trust tucking boot is extremely important depending on what you do
Not to mention annoying
Usually from what I’ve seen nobody in the army really has it tight and thin, most of everyone I’ve seen keeps it baggy, even other people I know with boot laces
Basic training didn't really train us either !! Ima try this next week
1:28 ....idk why but i liked when he points at me and then tells me to drop my pants
lmao
Wow. This definitely hepled my case in Army Cadets. My blouses were really baggy. Thanks for the vid
Same brother, I'm in the Young marines and this helped me out too
Aussie or American ?

@@UglyPastry what unit are you from don’t answer if you don’t want to 👍
Lol I'm in army cadets at the moment idk if u have left now or not but Ivr been a cadet for about jus over half a year and my trouses are really baggy and its annoying. 👍🤙
I bought two skinny door springs from a hardware store for blousing. I connected the ends to form two rings for a permanent loop. I just slip them over my foot before putting on the boots. They never wear out or stretch and the radius gives a great looking blouse.
Excellent tip, goes beyond what other videos have shown, and looks better. Thanks.
As an ROTC cadet this is pretty helpful
Thanks for this great tip. I was in 12yrs NAVY and Army National Guard but been out over 17yrs. I wish I knew this when I was in.
When I was in the Army 1986-1992, some NCO's folded a crease with the bulk up the side of the calf on BDU's to get the effect. When ironed in they looked really sharp.
Did this back in bootcamp. None knew this trick. Everyone came at me for dropping the trousers tho, but it worth it. Thanks!
Gracias!! AMAZING tip! Soo helpful!! Thanks for all the Advices!
The tip I got from my RAMP CC was just abit different. didnt have to pull the pants all the way down. before i start strapping the trousers i have my pants just below the hip. then i cuff the pants, blouse strap, pull up pants and tighten belt.
Your way seems a bit faster so ill give it a shot.
Thanks now my instructor won’t get pissed when the new guys show up with the baggy pants
Another method:
You can also stich elastic rubber tapes at the inside of the bottom edges of your uniform.
_That's even faster and very reliable_
In my time in the Portuguese army we used to sow elastic to the pants measured the length we wanted to give the proper boot length.... Dammnnn this brought back good old memories
🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Thanks for your service, and that goes for all that may read this, thank you brothers.
AD UNUM.
This video definitely helped especially how i'm in the security sector
Not gonna lie the old I used to do them worked sure but I always had the problem where they got baggy as the day went on this trick of pulling your pants down actually made my pants not look baggy for the first time. (Thanks man For teaching me this method)
Great tip, thank you!
You're welcome!
Looks perfect.
Thats awesome!!!
Looks helpful.
Pretty helpful
Using this guide for my Jordan 1s
Had to make sure I was on the right website
Great tip!
Glad it was helpful!
As a Sea Cadet this Helped Alot
To be honest, I like the look of blousing that sort of bunches up at the bottom (within reason! like about how you first had them, not too baggy!) To me it looks more stylish somehow.
The way you got em all tight like that, it looks like a lanky old man wearing track pants that are two small for him. Lol!
Just bring back knickerbockers.
Thank bro thanks a lot ♥️
I’m going to try this
Yo thank you dude
The basic way is the same way chefs hem there pants I’ll definitely do this when I go into boot camp thanks for the tip
as a skinhead who hates boots untucking this is a life saver
Cool! As a new senior member of the Civil Air Patrol and a former USN squid, this is a skill I never learned. I tried blousing my ABUs yesterday and it was a failure. Thanks!
Having 4 or 5 blousing bands on each ankle definitely helps out a lot too
good video!
Thanks for this I just got a “nice blousing” from a corporal
Thank you sir.
Most welcome
this is do helpful thanks
Glad it helped
Thanks for the vid, now all i have to do is wait for my Cadet Corperal to check my blousing in Air Force Cadets
If you don’t have the bungees you can try rubber bands. Not extremely small & tight rubber bands tho.
Also if you have the bungee cords you can use that along with the rubber bands to give you a tighter more neat and stable blouse.
Some people like it some don’t but anyways, that’s just my advice. Love from the 868 🇹🇹🤟
pants drop caught me off guard but THANKS LOL
The pants drop realty took me by surprise 😂
Thanks it really helped with mcjrotc
During Army Basic Training in the late ‘60s, we bloused our fatigue trousers. When I got AIT, our drill sergeant decided that blousing was not allowed. We tucked our pants into our boots. When I was in OCS, we went back to blousing with our Corcoran jump boots. While on active duty afterward, I continued to wear the jump boots even though I was not airborne. Nobody said anything about their being inappropriate. In fact, I was named General’s Orderly while wearing them.
This is actually genius
Drop em
I like the bag effect.....
Dude, the thing about blousing is just that.. it’s supposed to actually look bloused, and not be overly tight like you’re doing here with the pants drop and pulling the cuff sky high. The correct blouse is in fact used to give a lot more knee room when bending, taking a firing position, etc. If too tight, like this, you’ll instantly feel the tightness in your knee whenever kneeling. It turns out that military research often has an actual purpose lol.
Your right bro that's what I was told today when I asked about it
Thanks for the tip! Could you also do another video on how to fold ODU's sleeves like a pro? Thank you
@@militaryjourneymen lol I was told the same thing.. I can never get it to fit snug.
Dude where has this been my whole career
This mans in the coast guard
Yes
And you’re probably in ya moms basement 😔
@@Puppyboi12345 you don't know me but from the way this man is dressed you can tell he is a fukin puddle pirate

"Ok the first step is drop your pants."
Me: Wait what?
Thank you !!
yw!
great view
Ikm a US sailor. Aye coast guard we fight for you!
:D
Where do you buy the bungee at??
What if you have A retainer from braces that you will need during boot camp
what brand are your boots?
When i take a knee the trouser blouse moves up my leg is this normal how can i fix it? Cheers
where can I get those bungees?
Hey are you a YN? Also what rank? I’ve been watching your videos since before I went to boot camp and haven’t sent you a message in global yet. Just wanted to say thanks for all your tips!
How do you make it to where when you stretch your leg or something it doesn't rise upwards and become saggy?
NEED TO KNOW.... you tucked it around the strap, then is it resting ON THE BOOT under the second eyelet...or ON TOP of the boot by the ankle , and let the pant leg drop to the second eyelet. need to know cause I strap under the second eyelet on an 8in boot and was told this video is wrong .... so if you can settle this that would help.
i mean once you walk up one ladder on a cutter your blousing is done for and then will end up like you had it at first
touche
Blouse bands
But the amount of fabric bloused should be the same so it's at least a little easir to fix
How do you make the bungee?
Are you still in the CG?
what boots are they?
to be perfectly honest both of them are accurate, the more baggy ones are how airborne troops do it. But the perfect looking ones are usually Navy or infantry👍🏼🇺🇸
Fuckin game changer
What boots are you wearing in this video?
Where would one acquire such bungees?
Coast guard: You actually want to drop your pants.
Navy: Hmmmm interesting
I did this and got PT'd for weeks
They taught this in Marine Corps Bootcamp
Hey Julian, thanks for the pointers pre joining! Any idea about vision limits if going for AST? I’m not blind but use glasses for far distance.
Thank you for the information again sir!
I wish I thought of this a long time ago, my blouses always got saggy as the day went on and it was extremely irritating.
Problem is my trousers are too big for me
help!!! where to get that 0:33 thing-for-pants idk 😥 sry my english is bad
Wow! Also I just had a question. Do you have to have the two blousing straps tied together?
yes, it's stronger
We used to call them" bolusing rubbers" , back in the day.
Well, there goes me failing NNN!
I forgot the coast guard outfit was blue
Hey question, do they pay you more or better benefits when You have wife and kids?
I could be overthinking this but, how did you tie the band's together? Squarenot?
Nvm, I got it now.
I wear mine to my ankles dawg
Lmao I used to do this strategy. Always made me sharper looking.
I asked the same thing on a older video but, will the CG accept GED applicants?
No
This helped me out 👍👍, Coast Guard Auxiliarist, also what kind of boots are You wearing ? my current boots are Belleville ST 300 and they are heavy, Your looks light.
They are very light. Link should be in the description for the boots
@@militaryjourneymen The link's not working. Make and model?
I thought I was about to get punked when the pants dropped
Yea, but when you sit down the pants are pulled up by your knees, and the bands/straps get pulled up above the boot, creating that baggy look anyway. and if you kneel alot, then the same thing happens. Anyone know any solutions?
Blouse them like a normal person
woah this turned into a sexy film fast… very coast guard of u
Just following the CG way
Looks like these tricks are better thanhid the pants under the boots. I just want to do that, but its coming off every time :D
Bravo Zulu !!!
Great video and guidance. However, those don’t look like authorized composite toe boots:) If not, do you really want to be standing out? Again, love your videos and what you are doing for our members out here.
Not necessary for office work in the Coast Guard.
so tell me more about your shoes how tall is it and also what is the brand? rothco or danner ...v max ? i need one also
link in the description
How far are you supposed to pull up the folded bit of the trousers?
One baby's fist length
@@militaryjourneymen Thanks, I appreciate it
Is 1 blousing strap good or do you recommend 2?
2
Where do you get those bands
online at Vanguard Uniforms.
Yo man I leave to bootcamp soon , can you please help me out w some boot recommendations for after, I really want some lightweight non bulky boots, I was looking at the Nike ones but idk if they allow those
Depends on unit if you need lightweight boots or composite toe. I have my boots in the description
Military Journeymen yea I tried it but the link doesn’t work... but thank you
