- Welcome to the Thor Repairs channel. This video is about the installation DIY How to of the Magnaflow Direct fit exhaust muffler Part#19433. I love the sound this aftermarket exhaust creates. Its a nice low rumble when you want it. No drone on the highway and No waking up the neighbors on start up. The website where I purchased the Magnaflow direct fit Muffler is called partsengine.ca and I used the promotion code MGFLOW-14672 for 20% off. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
Magnaflow is definitely my favorite for the 5.7 ram.
Good video brother!
Just got done installing mine. 👍🏼
How do you like it?
@@MrV2u so far so good was really worried about drone and it being loud the whole time but it’s only got some drone at times and for the most part pretty quiet in the cab while cruising
@@precisiondentremoval6233 sounds good to me. I was thinking of rolling with this setup too.
@@MrV2u Put it on my 2020 Rebel last year. Still liking it! I dont notice any drone with mine. Sounds good and better when you get on it. Perfect sound to me, not obnoxious but can hear it in the house when it starts in the driveway. But that's why I got it. Lol
Just ordered mine for my 2022!
You will love it. I still love mine! 👍🏻
Just installed the same muffler in my 2020 bighorn. Sounds great but american trucks forgot the flange gasket. Great vid!
The sounds gets better every time I get in it 👍🏻👍🏻
@@thorrepairs6557 i hear of guys plugging the weep holes of the resonators with jb weld high heat epoxy, which apparently helps with the "airy" sound. Think i might give it a go. Could always drill them back out if I don't care for the sound lol!!
@@BdubbsVt let me know how it goes 👍🏻
@@thorrepairs6557 I did this, and it sounds way better. Doesn't sound like it's being pushed through a grocery bag anymore
Does it get louder as a year goes on when it breaks in
Canadians sound so pleasant.
Just put on my 2019 bighorn (non e-Torque). I think it’s a bit too much. More than I wanted. I was looking for mild to moderate growl, it’s really aggressive. Too much. On a 1-10, I wanted a 3-4…. It’s really a 7-8. There is a drone when the MDS comes on too.
Unfortunately in your case it will get a bit louder in time. I came from a Rebel exhaust which has a little bit more of an aggressive sound from the factory compared to yours so the change wasn’t as much as yours. It’s not what you expected and that’s too bad. It is a bolt on system so you could always revert back to stock and weld where you made the cut. I have no drone and love the sound of mine still over a year later.
👍👍🥳🥳
Which one is louder the flow xf or yours the magna
Did you get a burning smell after test drive. Also did you notice your exhaust tips and exhaust hot after test drive. I only did a 5 min drive around my block and noticed the exhaust tips and exhaust hot.
I did notice a smell briefly but nothing noticed in the heat department. I still love it.
I'm on the fence between this and the flowmaster direct bolt on muffler. How's it holding from the salt? I've read some reviews on them not holding up for Canadian winters.
Zero issues with this system and sounds great. I like how it purrrrrrrrs when I start it up.
Hey man, fellow Canadian here also with a '21 Rebel. Do you still like this replacement muffler? Any drone from it? How was the experience buying from partsengine? Thanks
If you like some sound on acceleration and when your rpms are climbing then you will love this exhaust. I still love it. I can drive down the highway and not hear it at all when cruising. I would say next to no drone. There was no issues when dealing with Partsengine.ca. They are busy so it took a bit to get it shipped but I was in no rush. This exhaust has a nice rumble but not too loud on start up. It’s plenty loud for me!
@@thorrepairs6557 thanks for the reply! When does it drone? Any drone when it kicks into MDS 4 cylinder mode?
@@LazyHobo32 If there is any drone its brief and when the engine is under load but not anything I would say is noticeable.
@@LazyHobo32 I put the exact same thing on my Rebel. I really like it and Ive experienced NO drone with mine...or atleast Ive never noticed it. Sounds great to me and doesnt disturb my neighbors.
@@AJW-ho9vc Great thanks for the feedback!
Did you remove the resonators?
No I did not. I hear if you do you may get some drone. It sounds great and has no drone with the resonators.
I just got this and it drones around 1800 with acceleration pretty bad. It’s loud as hell inside compared to what I’ve had in the past.
That’s too bad. Mine sounds great and it’s not loud in the cab.
Did you close the weep holes on the resonators
No I did not but I have heard of people doing that.
I don't know if I ask you this but does it get louder when it breaks in
Yes it does but nothing crazy.
Did you weld anything
No welding at all. It’s a bolt on system. Very DIY
@@thorrepairs6557 will this system work for the eco diesel
I am trying to upgrade my exhaust for my ram 1500 but it’s eco diesel all the ones I found on CZcams is for the 5.7 or 6.4
I’m thinking no but you should double check that.
Just installed mine getting headaches lol
any check engine light
It’s been a year and no engine light or other issues.
WD-40 is not a lubricant,,, it's a solvent. Just so you know.
WD-40 stands for, water displacement 40 parts per million.
Ok Thanks, works well for what I used it for.
Yo prefiero el silencio por dentro
No issues with noise inside.
So dirty the floour meabe a sweep will be fine, the brooms are cheep, i realy would not like to work like that
That is the best comment ever! 😂
