Out of all the main characters in the franchise, he's probably my favorite protagonist in the series. He is calm, cool and collected, uses any card from weak to effin' strong, at his disposal, and most of all, he doesn't brag about anything, doesn't taunt very often and he just fights for anyone or anything he deeply cares about. He's just the best.
Plus i noticed he's the only one to figure out that someone actually likes him. While the rest of the guys doesn't know that their side character is in love with them. Like with alexis with jaden and tea with yugi.

I hated this show when watching this as a kid but it grew on me but then it left regular TV programming ( just like GX) and never got to see the middle and the ending of the dark signers arc.

Weirdly enough, I appreciated the fact that he never had a companion helping him out. Yugi had Atem, Jaden had the spirits in one form or another, Yuma had Astral, Yuya had his other selves and Yusaku had Ai. Yusei is the only protag whose skills are 100% there own. Additionally, he goes through some very real, very tragic and all to human discrimination and abuse. The others have their tragic stories tied into the show and plot, where as the Signers and the Dragons had nothing to do with the fact that he was dirt poor and had a very rough childhood through no fault of his own. Best character to me.
To me, Yusei Fudo was that type of person that I would want to be like one day. I mean the dude's so capable (even outside of dueling) and everyone respects him and his abilities.

I think 5Ds is more adultlike, because the main character is very serious and it's not as funny as GX or DM, where we have Joey and Jaden that always drop jokes. Crow is a funny character, and Leo too, but it's still more "professionel" made. Even Yugi and Atem are sometimes very funny. And Kaiba has a very special sarcasm "humor? :D" Even Chazz is very funny in his "evil" part. Jack and Yusei are almost never kidding. Sure 5Ds has this typical YGO humor that we all love so much but in a adultlike way. I like this. It makes me feel better as a 18 year old beeing obsessed with Yugioh😁

Yusei Fudo... My all time favourite Yu-gi-oh protagonist. Can we talk about how incredible selfless, humble, yet badass and powerful he is? Some people say he's a Gary Stue, but I can't agree on that. His character did develop a lot and even if he's amazing, he has still flaws that make him human. In some occasions Yusei lost his composure and acted out of anger, most notably after Roman used Rally as a scapegoat and Martha was consumed by his Earthbound Immortal. Also he was shown to have had a fear of insects ever since a cockroach nested in his ear, as said by Nervin. He was however able to conquer this fear after his Duel against Lenny. But above all... He may loves his friends and does acts of kindness, but there was a side to him, gravity serious, a reserved, quiet and distant lone wolf; just him and his bike. This can be attributed due to Yusei's horrible childhood and all the losses and struggles he had in life, which made him on the other side though very mature and independent for his age. I felt there was still a sorrow in Yusei's soul, giving him a melancholic, bittersweet vibe. However to my delight I saw him throughout the series him opening up more and more. Finally at the end he is laughing from his heart - a really beautiful moment I like to remember.

He Started with a broken motorcycle and ended up with a few ass beatings,battle scars and emotional trauma.But he regained Stardust,reconnected with his brothers of which 8 years later one still wants to kick his ass to become king in a rematch.Gained a couple of twins who learned from him and finally a fiercely loyal soulmate who he saved her,gave her everything without trying,put her on the path to greatness and she still gushes over the smile he gave her 8 years later. And finally he got the dream job.He is the most successful character of the franchise.
While he does lose his composure, other Yugioh protagonists have a period of them turning bad like Judai in season 3/4, so that'd be what's enough I guess. They also canceled the Z-one = Yusei plot to keep him pure. And for starter he never loses in any of his many duels except flashback. Not even the plot makes him lose against Team Unicorn when Jean can just end his turn to deck out.
Ok so Yusei can program, build duel runners, is an amazing duelist and has an expertise in physics AND took over his parents job?! All while being a duelist???!! YUSEI TEACH ME YOUR WAYS
Yusei is tied with Yugi/Yami for my favorite character in the whole franchise! He is awesome,cool,heroic, and a great role model. Plus he reminds me of another one of my favorite characters associated with the color blue,wind (Stardust Dragon's attribute), and high speed action! When I saw that first episode and him speeding around on that awesome duel runner I thought "this series is going to be awesome! (I know this is my third time using that word but I don't care because that's what he is!) I think more characters should be like Sonic and Yusei. Plus, Yusei is what I think Shadow The Hedgehog would look like if he were human.
Yusei is the coolest character to me in Yu-Gi-Oh in my opinion. He is the perfect example of what it means being human with kind values at the same time looking very bad ass. Reminds me of me and how I was raised. He is a role model and personally believe his overall attitude resembles the exact trait of my zodiac sign, a Libra. ♎️😆🙏

Jaden is by far the most stacked duelist in all of Yugioh. He has more total duels, more total wins, a competitive win rate, and all in the most stacked series out of the whole franchise in terms of competition. And this is before factoring in amps from Neo Spatians, the Supreme King, or Yubel and super polymerization.
some may not agree with me, but in my opinion, Yusei is not only the best duelist but he is also the best protagonist, with his amazing Stardust Dragon being the best ace monster atm, IMO. Sorry yugi, but that shenanigans video really put you down on my list....
even his character deck if done right is really fun to play evn irl meta and stuff, one of those decks which contains plays that handle pretty much anything. Also it's funny how one of the best decks for synchro stuff is made with cards he played and Aki played lol - DoppelPlants XD -
He lost twice. One to Jack, one to Karin. I know duel is suspended vs Karin but it should still count as a loss because his d wheel broke down and he would have lost anyways.
Still didnt found if he did he would have lost his soul right after the duel but he didnt this making it a draw or no contest. If we go technical Yusei lost in his memories but there wasn't a full duel vs jack in my opinion he only lost 1 time

I then got my way out of jail by completely humilating the prison chief who got fire immediately after losing to me even though I was using cards owned by actual criminals... that's all I have for now" Me: "Umm, ok sorry to keep you waiting sir"
The funny thing about his loss is that it arguably doesn't count due to being in a flashback. In terms of present day duels, Yusei has a perfect record.
I knew Yusie was my favorite character when I watched his battle using the Ancient Treasure monsters he had so much fury and passion seeing someone get picked on. He was immediately compelled to stand up for him an old man he didn't even know and showed all those prisoners that even something may look weak dont underestimate its strength inside

My 1st one that i bought was red -eyes baby dragon, but my favourite cards are red -eyes dark Dragoon, blue eyes Max dragon, the dark magicians , Raidraptor -uktimate falcon, cyber dragon infinity and ofc blackwing full armor master also my favourite card of all time is elemental hero sunrise ,i want to buy this card and to build an elemental hero deck with destroyer phoenix enforcer but is too expensive deck cause it costs up to 350 euros on ebay !!!😜😜

I'm kind of annoyed at the "Yusei didn't really lose against Kallin" thing, i still remember it clear as day, it was a clear GG cause his Scrap Scarecrow was negated by the Inmortal Bound thing except his duel runner conveniently crashed at last second saving Yusei's life, it's kind of like saying "i didn't lose cause i just flipped the table before the last attack" lol i mean it wasn't "official" but it was a loss with a grain of _bike overheated and failed_ salt on top though

to be honest; throughout the anime, there are some scenes that make yusei look like a edgy tween, and then there are times he looks like a war veteran/gang leader. I love that fact.
It fits that he's the Jotaro of the franchise, like they're the third in line, with cool, tough and serious personalities and also Jaden/Judai is like the Joseph of the franchise being the second, funny, loud mouthed one
That feel when both of your favorite protagonists goku and yusei both have the same backstory. Bardock and Dr.Fudo both send them off in a capsule before they die.
I think Yusei is the best Yu-gi-oh protagonist. I believe he's a mix of Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey: He's selfless, believes in every card in his deck, and cares deeply for his friends like Yugi. He's a technical genius and tends to act alone like Kaiba. He uses a deck that represents the fact that he comes from a less privileged background like Joey. A couple of other things I like about Yusei is that he has other skills besides dueling and he duels using a modified version of the battle city duel disk.
The past is tragic by the ener-d reactor took its toll by rex Goodwin until the dark signers had risen when Goodwin reunite with his brother and others returned to normal until ilaster one of the pure nobles came yusei fought bravely with his teammates as well with jaden and yugi with the spirit of atem as they defeated paradox saving the world to normal.

In other words, Yusei was so competent that the Crimson Dragon only ever needed to give him a gentle nudge every now and then.
Crimson Dragon helps any Signer but Yusei got his help from that Dragon actually. Majestic Dragon card he got from topdeck.
There’s also some moments in both the anime and bonds beyond time that kinda give me the impression that yusei might have some form of PTSD

totally agree with you I use a junk deck for dueling and a lot of my combos are based off yuseis
even his character deck if done right is really fun to play evn irl meta and stuff, one of those decks which contains plays that handle pretty much anything. Also it's funny how one of the best decks for synchro stuff is made with cards he played and Aki played lol - DoppelPlants XD -

He lost twice. One to Jack, one to Karin. I know duel is suspended vs Karin but it should still count as a loss because his d wheel broke down and he would have lost anyways.
Still didnt found if he did he would have lost his soul right after the duel but he didnt this making it a draw or no contest. If we go technical Yusei lost in his memories but there wasn't a full duel vs jack in my opinion he only lost 1 time

The funny thing about his loss is that it arguably doesn't count due to being in a flashback. In terms of present day duels, Yusei has a perfect record.
I knew Yusie was my favorite character when I watched his battle using the Ancient Treasure monsters he had so much fury and passion seeing someone get picked on. He was immediately compelled to stand up for him an old man he didn't even know and showed all those prisoners that even something may look weak dont underestimate its strength inside

My 1st one that i bought was red -eyes baby dragon, but my favourite cards are red -eyes dark Dragoon, blue eyes Max dragon, the dark magicians , Raidraptor -uktimate falcon, cyber dragon infinity and ofc blackwing full armor master also my favourite card of all time is elemental hero sunrise ,i want to buy this card and to build an elemental hero deck with destroyer phoenix enforcer but is too expensive deck cause it costs up to 350 euros on ebay !!!😜😜

I'm kind of annoyed at the "Yusei didn't really lose against Kallin" thing, i still remember it clear as day, it was a clear GG cause his Scrap Scarecrow was negated by the Inmortal Bound thing except his duel runner conveniently crashed at last second saving Yusei's life, it's kind of like saying "i didn't lose cause i just flipped the table before the last attack" lol i mean it wasn't "official" but it was a loss with a grain of _bike overheated and failed_ salt on top though

to be honest; throughout the anime, there are some scenes that make yusei look like a edgy tween, and then there are times he looks like a war veteran/gang leader. I love that fact.

It fits that he's the Jotaro of the franchise, like they're the third in line, with cool, tough and serious personalities and also Jaden/Judai is like the Joseph of the franchise being the second, funny, loud mouthed one

That feel when both of your favorite protagonists goku and yusei both have the same backstory. Bardock and Dr.Fudo both send them off in a capsule before they die.
I think Yusei is the best Yu-gi-oh protagonist. I believe he's a mix of Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey: He's selfless, believes in every card in his deck, and cares deeply for his friends like Yugi. He's a technical genius and tends to act alone like Kaiba. He uses a deck that represents the fact that he comes from a less privileged background like Joey.
A couple of other things I like about Yusei is that he has other skills besides dueling and he duels using a modified version of the battle city duel disk.
The past is tragic by the ener-d reactor took its toll by rex Goodwin until the dark signers had risen when Goodwin reunite with his brother and others returned to normal until ilaster one of the pure nobles came yusei fought bravely with his teammates as well with jaden and yugi with the spirit of atem as they defeated paradox saving the world to normal.
Yusei and YamiYugi/Pharao are my fave characters of them all.
