Wow, I would have died with my legs in the air if I'd found that Lalique bowl for $6 ! I thought it was great ! Cheers from South Australia Dr Lori.
I would have DIED if I had come across that Lalique bowl!!!
Me too and it's going out for sale on my online store
Dr. Lori, I'm so glad to get to know your videos and learn from you! I don't live in America but I am a resident of the Western Balkans and yesterday was the first time I got to know your videos! I want to tell you that apart from being a true professional, what makes me happier is that you are a good person with a good sense of humor! You are the person for whom we need more these days! I wish you health and only health and we will have the opportunity to listen to you and learn from you! I wish you a happy new year!
Happy new year. Thank you for your nice note.
Why was the Julia Child book worth so much? The used hardcovers on Amazon range between 15-22.00. Thanks for clarifying.
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
Our house and neighborhood missed the whole French cooking thing in the Sixties. Never heard a peep about Julia until SNL.
In 2007 I was an innkeeper. She taught a class in our kitchen years before. Coconut cake! Yum!!!🎂
Interesting!
my favorite thing to do in my free time is binge Dr Lori videos and then shop!!
Love the Lalique bowl!! 😍
Hello doc. I love China too. My mouth opened wide when I saw all those bargains.
Dr Lori I love your shows!
I know I have the Julia Child around somewhere.
The lalique find is amazing!! These videos are my favorite!
Glad you like them! share and watch more of my videos for so much more info.
We have the Atico International USA Inc. SUMMERTIME dishes set. I believe that it is actually a breakfast set. Coffee cups, cereal bowls, milk pitcher, large serving platter, large entrée serving bowl, small entrée serving bowl. Main course and toast plate. I have 8 milk pitchers and an extensive collection of the rest of the set. We just love it and it's our everyday dishes in our nautical theme home.
These videos are my favorite that you do.
Happy Sunday, Dr. Lori 🌹 Have a very Blessed Week💐
I would like to find that Lalique bowls twin ! WOW that was gorgeous $$$$
I love fine china,my favorite is Sarcuse because it is American and it was every bit as beautiful as brands from other counties.
Happy Sunday Dr. Lori ❤
Gosh, what a great, interesting video! Thanks for teaching us!
Oh my the Lalique is beautiful what a find! 😳 My smoke detectors go off often at suppertime 😆
Hi Dr Lori 🌴
I have a bag similar to the one on your table with the little dolls attached. Bought it in Honduras. I think they're adorable. ☺️
Another great video Dr. Lori, thanks! 🥰
I think it’s absolutely darling that’s the first thing that grabbed my eye when I first clicked onto this video was that purse. I love it ❤️
Absolutely wonderful video Dr. Lori thank you. 🤗 I agree with you on the China. I watch a lot of people on CZcams that are resellers and they all say oh I’m messing with the China sets and I’m like what is wrong with you people if nothing else you can sell it for separate pieces or group like just the bowls together and sell them as replacement parts if you don’t want to sell the whole set together. Start grabbing these China sets so they do not end up in the Landfield. These are history that our our parents and then our grandparents and their great parents and so on used and if we don’t start buying it up it’s gonna end up in the Landfield so devastating. 😢
I just love this information you give thank you so very much Dr.Lori.
Hi Dr. Lori!!!🙋🏾♀️❤️
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
Great episode, Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
I have that cookbook. My sister-in-law left me over four hundred cookbooks. I don’t cook. Lol! She also left me a lot of jewelry and all of it was designer. I may be selling some of this stuff soon. I have two brass and glass art deco lights from the 20-30’s, when my house was built. I love your show. I am a writer of fiction with Random House and when I am not writing, I enjoy watching your show.
Thank you for sharing. Always good info!
If the Chanel brooch ( or anything) has been repaired, that needs to be disclosed when reselling. Serious jewelry collectors will want to know and often will be able to tell.
I’ve missed seeing your “lives”. Are they coming back?? Love all the knowledge and humor you share with us!!!
Have you checked my schedule on my website at www.DrLoriV.com/events ?
@@DrLoriV yes!!

I think I did well lol but ill be hanging on to it till I become a little more knowledgeable on what its worth.
Thank you for your helpful channel. I genuinely appreciate you :)

Thanks for you videos I love them - ❤
Hi Dr. Lori,
Was the Art of French Cooking
Vol. 2 a first edition? My guess would be yes but wanted clarification.
Many Blessings,
K.T.
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.

I just love watching you I just have to get back out there!!!
I will now have haunted memories of when I volunteered at the thrift store ... Julia Child and Stiffel lamps ... I remember operating the cash register and saying "I just put those out!" Don't even ask.
Now, Dr. Lori, I’ve seen some of your posts on Facebook of the food you cook. It always looks good to me! I bet you cook better than you’re giving yourself credit for. 😉
Hi Dr Lori, Was the Julia Childs cookbook a first edition to command that much?
❤
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
I will put it in my calendar!! Xxoo
Love the coco broch
Does having or not having the dust jacket for a book affect the value much?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
I have what appears to be volume one because it doesn’t say volume one, no assumption a second volume would be published , and it’s first edition
Why is this particular book worth $750 compared to others of the same condition that sell for Significantly less ?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
New episode!!! DR Lori, you have-to hear about my DR Lori Live story Update! :)
Are you going to share it with us?
I may have missed it, but what makes that exact cookbook worth more than others? First Ed? Signed?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
Got a crystal bowl from the Salvation Army with a sticker that says Poland crystal it is a very pretty piece is crystal still valuable anybody know ?

Took a bit of looking to notice the Chanel mark on top of the brooch. It was blending in really well. I have heard other costume jewelry resellers knowing where to source quality stones. I will be repairing some pieces of jewelry and also searching for the original complete piece to compare. So I will need to know how to evaluate the quality, weight, and sizes of crystals, lead crystal glass, and other types of stones and gems stones (mineral crystals). Then there's replacing the proper links and other attachment hardware. QUESTION: Is it possible to resurface worn costume jewelry easily and affordably? Applying a new gold tone? Would this be recommended with designer stamped pieces? Can I just spray paint it?! Don't hurt me. LOL
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching.
Where can I sell my Lalique pieces? Love watching you and learning!
Have you watched my videos that focus on reselling? Have you read my articles on my website at www.DrLoriV.com where I talk about reselling? I also offer classes on reselling.
I just found volume one and volume two in my goodwill bins, but there is no jacket on them. How much would they be worth together with no jackets and where’s the best place to resell them?
Have you watched my videos that focus on reselling? Have you read my articles on my website at www.DrLoriV.com where I talk about reselling? I also offer classes on reselling. I can appraise your pieces too. Need to see them.
Hmmm I looked on EBAY and only the signed 2nd Volumes of French Cooking go as high as you appraised the book. Most go from $11.00 to $40.00. Where are you appraising it? I realize they don’t sell for their appraised value but that’s such a big stretch.
Watch me explain when asked this during a recent Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video at czcams.com/video/JodBDPxHhe4/video.html
And watch me explain about using eBay to price items at czcams.com/video/F1uGp3U3jrE/video.html
I love your videos.
