    NO SUBSTITUTES: Yeah the projector headlights that came on the C6 Vettes were modern back in 2005, but by today's standards - their light output is dated and it's hard to argue the modern appeal of the C7's full LED setup! Thankfully the new Morimoto XB LED headlights: Look great. Are well-built. Have a virtually infinite lifespan. An unbeatable warranty, and outperform the alternatives. They are the first and last aftermarket option that the C6 Corvette Community needs, because when it comes to headlights: there is nowhere else to upgrade from here.
    ******************************
    DOT APPROVED: Make no mistake, these will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into your stock housings. Their projector optics meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and FMVSS108 regulations when aimed properly...and that's easy to do with their integrated vertical/lateral adjusters.
    ******************************
    PLUG-N-PLAY: Wiring is easy too! These LED headlights are designed to work on your C6 Vette without any modifications. They will plug into the factory connectors for the stock headlights and each assembly includes all necessary connectors, rubber seals, and pigtails for a plug-n-play install. No error codes, no flickering, hyper-flashing, or radio interference. They can easily be removed, and will not void your factory warranty.
    ******************************
    SEQUENTIAL LED DRL: Game Changer! Their LED daytime running light is powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and is insanely bright, and easily visible during the day. They have a fully sequential LED turn signal behind modern "3D" type optics on the outside edge of the headlight too.
    ******************************
    WELL-BUILT: Their UV-coated polycarbonate lens will resist the test of time, ensuring your Fit's new headlights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is lightweight and much stronger than comparable alternatives. The die-cast aluminum heat sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM-grade Osram LED chips that produce the light. These complete headlights may be new to the market, but Morimoto's XB LED fog lights have proven themselves perfect after 5+ years out now, which is confidence-inspiring.
    ******************************
    THEY LOOK Amazing. At least in our opinion! The subtle elements incorporated in their design are more than enough to make them stand out, but they're clean enough to be considered top-of-the-line original equipment to those who don't know any better. All in all, styling that closely resembles the C7 headlights - making these the best way to facelift your C6.

    These Lights look amazing. I would caution you that there is a noticeable difference driving at night. The Beam is Bright and very focused. It has limited spill and diffusion so things above the beam are hard to see. Not a big deal if you drive in the city. Compare 2:07 to 2:16. You can see Items and read words much better in the later. I am a fan of these lights and have bought and installed them in my C6. They look great, but you will notice the difference at night. 5 Stars to the Retrofit Source BTW~

    The hunting autofocus in the beginning of the video is really distracting - set a narrower aperture and manual focus it if possible. Of course, after 2 years, you guys probably already have this figured out. The headlights are phenomenal. I'm hoping to get into a C6 soon (or a Cayman. Haven't decided) but I think I'm going to get a Jeep first.

    how to disable sequential turning signal ..can it be solid? can you show us in video?

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Před 6 lety +1

      yes, very easy to do. there is an AMP connector on the back of the lights - if its plugged in together, the lights wont sequence, if its unplugged, they'll flash in the sequential mode.

    I recieved the lights and I'm curious where did you plug in the fuse labeled acc. Did you use a fuse under the hood?

  • @greatgonzer
    @greatgonzer Před 5 lety

    I have these on my Z06 and love them. Is there a way to remove the Amber DLR during the day and only have the white lights on? They look great when the headlight is on, as the amber lights are off at that time, but when the headlights are off, the amber lights are on?! Can this be changed?

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Před 5 lety

      Darrell - we have a wire harness coming out soon that will modify the function of the DRL. Stay tuned!

    I installed mine and it came with the extra wiring to make them sequential but I don’t know where to tap into the fuse box any help? Thanks

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Před 3 lety

      You will want to tap that harness into fuse #6, and that will be to power the DRL. To actually make the turn signal sequential, you will have to unplug the connectors that are both coming out of the back of that headlight housing. If you have any other questions, let us know!

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Před 5 lety

      There is a gold-colored aiming adjuster knob on the back of the housing that can be turned with a philips screw driver, that will adjust the height

    • @tomslck
      @tomslck Před 6 lety +1

      If they are anything like the OEM, there will be a hole behind the light where you put in an Allen wrench/ hex key to adjust the hight…

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Před 6 lety +1

      Correct, there is an aiming adjustment screw on the back of the lights, which can be accessed
      through the wheel well

      @@victorlucci they look awesome! I did the install. I didn't remove the front bumper. I used shammies along car edges and a taped up long screwdriver to release the fender from the bumper after all the screws were removed. Take your time and it should go ok. Took me 2.5hrs

      Agreed. Actually when you look at the comparison in the garage the original might not be as cool of a white but they are much broader and light up more of the garage.
