The team at Morimoto is dedicated to revolutionizing aftermarket automotive lighting. They consistently raise the bar by manufacturing custom headlights with intricate and attractive designs. As well as headlights that out perform the competition and even auto manufacturers. In this video Greg is back in the shop to showcase their all new LED projector headlight for all 05-13 C6 Corvette trucks.
Powerful Lighting. LED lighting is becoming more common as a light source on both aftermarket and OE configurations. But Morimoto designed their new C6 Corvette headlights to be as powerful as possible and they even outperform the factory C6 HID headlights. They chose to use LED’s that produce a pure white 5500 kelvin and a very impressive 2600 lumens per headlight. Creating not only an amazing custom look, but also allowing you to see what’s on the road ahead in all weather conditions.
Custom Look. The front end of your vehicle portrays its personality. And that’s exactly why installing the right set of custom headlights can completely change its attitude. Morimoto designed this all new C6 Corvette headlight with an aggressive style. They combined the sinister look of a black housing with design cues taken from the C7 Corvette factory headlight. From its bright white DRL bar that wraps around the entire perimeter. To the beautiful flowing amber color of the sequential turn signal. This new headlight from Morimoto is the best way to give your C6 Corvette better lighting and C7 Corvette style.
Easy Installation. Morimoto’s all new Corvette headlights require no additional wiring. Its as simple as removing your factory headlights and plugging the new multi pin connector into the factory harness. No special tools are needed, and the job can be done within just an hour.

Several things to point out about this review as I just installed a set of these on my C6. Mine came out of the box set up for non-sequential turn signals. They can be set to sequential by simply unplugging a connector on the back of the light. I also did not remove my front bumper fascia - all I needed to do was remove the screws at the top, under the hood, and unclip the 2 safety clips and it was loose enough to get the job done. Last, but not least, they do plug right in to the factory wiring harness, however, to run the DRL's, there is a separate wiring harness supplied that runs from the under hood fuse panel to each of the 2 new lights - easy enough to do but additional wiring (no splicing needed) IS required with these. All that said, the fit, finish, and function of these lights are as advertised and I do not regret putting them in.

Is there any need to adjust the light beam height? Were they equal on both sides?

Since most of us C6 owners want to buy these lights to improve night time visibility, how about making a video showing their night time performance on the road so that we can truly see if they are worth the purchase price.

I couldn't move up a gen from C5 without this. The classic clean C5 w/ pop-up lights hidden vs the chintzy projector lights that the was a cool thing to stick in your 90s car. The lights are so prominent and these kick it up a notch.

I've always hated the look of the stock C6 lights; these look like a huge improvement on that front.

The problem with the C-6 high beams has been brightness. Mentioned in this video is kelvin (warmth or coolness) of the light. Kelvin and lumen are totally different. While I like the idea of a cooler light (higher number kelvin) on the high beam, if the lumen output on this bulb is no stronger than the OEM then I wouldn't be interested in such an investment. This is what I've run into in trying to find a brighter high beam. A higher kelvin number is not going to make your high beam bulb any brighter. I have found no aftermarket bulb with a brighter lumen output than the OEM bulb. Until someone does, I won't be buying.

Have read a few reviews about one of the LEDs dying, usually the driver side. Is this a common thing? Have they been replaced under warranty? What could be causing the premature dying?
