Excellent interview KDH! One thing I love about Alistair is that he has such incredible vision and sees it through. From that plane ride in 1994 to making Vai’s Ultra Zone, it really blows me away. One thing Alistair did not mention is that the company nearly folded a few years in because of supply chain issues. Emerald is here because Alistair never gave up. Very admirable company and CEO. ❤

Nice! I thought the Virtuo body was a bit bigger, but it looks pretty thin. Can't wait for the review!

    Great story!!
And he's got a good feel for this trade if his first electric goes to Steve Vai - who's showcasing it & playing it! 🤘😎🙏
His guitars are *well* beyond my financial reach 😭, but they look phenomenal... 🙏

just the design of this guitar would be a dealbreaker for me if i would ever consider to spend 3k on a guitar imo 😎

It's not going to be for everyone. I'd love one of these in a more traditional parlour or folk shape. Hell, something jazzy - a 6210 made out of cf I'd love to try.

ive played a CF electric & was amazed at the vibration u could feel in the neck, i'm guessing the acoustics resonate/reverberate like crazy

I find these fascinating. The body style and aesthetics are a bit too spacey for me, but I'm intrigued by the tech. If they start doing a trad shaped Parlour, but in these colours & materials, I'd be all over that.

That guitar has been missing for a long time. A guy from guitar magazine tried to track it down. It was at one time at the hard rock museum a long time ago but is no longer. With more digging he eventually found the serial number of the CR guitar but grover Jackson/ charvel didn’t have it in their records . It apparently was made off the books. But no Steve Vai does not have it.

@@Dirge4july The guitar is not missing. It's owned by the Hard Rock Cafe, and is on display in Biloxi, MS. Steve recently borrowed it back for an upcoming photo book of his best-known guitars. 😉
