LOVE LIES BLEEDING - The Popcorn Junkies Movie Review (SPOILERS)

Love Lies Bleeding is a 2024 romantic thriller film directed by Rose Glass from a screenplay she co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska. It is a co-production between the United Kingdom and the United States. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Katy O'Brian, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco, and Ed Harris. Set in 1989, its plot follows the relationship between a reclusive gym manager, who is part of a crime family, and an ambitious bodybuilder.
Love Lies Bleeding premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024. It was released theatrically in the United States by A24 on March 8, 2024, and in the United Kingdom by Lionsgate on May 3, 2024. The film received positive reviews from critics.

I really liked this film. There aren't enough films that centre queer people wherein they're just people going through the plot, not queerness itself being the plot.

Agree wholeheartedly. I'm a straight male, but I just thought this hit on every single cylinder. I was already excited going into it just due to the Rose Glass and Kristen Stewart involvement; but this exceeded even my high expectations. It's very rare I watch a film where, from start to finish, I'm completely enthralled and have no issues with any of the creative decisions. I was equally hooked watching their developing relationship as I was with the madness that follows. This film got a 10/10 from me, and is one of my top 10 films of all time.
