Hi Jorge! Great video and certainly achieves its purpose. I'm a sports photographer and with 600mm there are angles, when at the circuit, never exploit before because reach is at the essence. When at the beach for surfing championships the same rational applies, specially at low tides with a considerable distance increase. Having the XF200 F2 and the 100-400 I can use the TC1.4. Used in video and the results where quite acceptable.
According to your review the result is pretty impressive.
    Thank You.

@@jrperezphotography Thank You very much for the feedback. I share the same thoughts, as the optical quality made by Fuji is outstanding. I guess that is up to the user to gear up according to its needs. Cheers

Very good review, just got a 150-600 on loan from Fuji and my concern was the f8 at the long end when I need maybe 1/2000 of a shutter here in England we have a lot of cloud. Therefore I may have to live with ISO 6400 or above, not sure I can do that. Thanks again

Hi Jorge, from your experience with the 100-400, did you found a significant improvement in the 150-600? I have the X-T2 with the 100-400, sometimes with the 1.4 TC, and find the AF of this combo quite limited in bird photography, but also in wildlife in general. I’m considering upgrade to the X-T5 or most likely to the X-H2S. Your thoughts will me much appreciated if this camera upgrade will address my current AF concerns, or if the 100-400 will still hold even with a faster camera..
    Thanks!

@@jrperezphotography Hi Jorge! Thanks for your reply. I fully agree the X-H2/S grip is too important for a zoom like the 100-400. And along with all info I’m gathering, it should be safe to give a go to the X-H2S to resolve my current AF issues.

  • @Enrique-the-photographer

I’m sure that you need more time with the lens Jorge, but in the meantime this is a very good first impressions video. As you mentioned the f/8 could be an issue in certain situations but from what I can see you got very clean and sharp images and I don’t notice any high iso noise (if at all). To be honest, I’m not very interested in the lens (for now) but I am looking at the X-H2S, I still want to wait and see what the X-T5 is going to be, but I strongly doubt that the focusing speed and accuracy is going to be better than this camera, which is my only complaint with the X-T4.

@@jrperezphotography my humble guess that they deliberately chose the most traditional path of the XT Line. Those that will be willing to follow the XT3 and T4 will shift to the XH. Can't do it without a grip! Just a personal taste. Cheers

Hi I am thinking about switiching mine 100-400. But from looking at some reviews I dont think I need to switch from to 150-600. My biggest conserns are that high F. If it gets a bit darker its kinda hard to take good photos. Do you regret switching lenses?

For slow moving birds and animals the focus does a great job. But when you move to fast moving birds, erratic moving animals in the wild like the African Wild-dogs the focus is slow and hit rate is nothing better than the XT4. The f8 is a big fail for wildlife especially in changing lighting conditions.
