I own the Fujifilm X-H2s. I've been a pro photographer my whole life, 66 years. I would not trade this camera for any other camera in the world. I had a Fujifilm XT4 and Canon R7, and sold them both, after testing the 3 in open shade, sun light, and low light. Fujifilm X-H2s was the best of all in all situations. I like it so much; I bought a second one.
I got one for 1400$ and it is impressive!
Wow you’ve been a pro photographer since you were 1 day old… impressive. What kind of pro photography sir?
@@Irrationalism Its overheating abilities certainly are impressive😅
The 14bit readout is only available at frame rates of 30 and under. I shot 4K 24fps yesterday and I was blown away at the amount of dynamic range and overall quality of the image. It’s like the camera switches into a mini ARRI. Absolutely underrated and needs to be discussed more!
Can the non “S” do the same?
@@itacatv2146 no it cannot. The 14bit readout mode requires high transfer rates from the sensor to the processor. Since the Xh2s is a stacked sensor it’s able to do that. Gerald never said the non S version can do this I know this for a fact.
@@EduardoStefanello this is not true. I own both cameras and I have watched Gerald’s review. 4khq is a down sample from 8k. This is not the same as 14bit readout from a sensor.
@@adnan_velic Sorry for the mistake
@@adnan_velic If I may ask, what do you recommend each camera for since you have both?
I still don't understand how you nail "Welcome back DPReview TV viewers" every single time 🤯
May I just say that the composition at 34 seconds is truly lovely. The way the intersection of leading lines draw the viewer's eye to Chris is simply brilliant. Well done, Jordan Drake. ;-)

Looks weird, needs more headroom.
9:51 the mini-tragedy in the background is more compelling than the video performance tbh
Shout out to the kid falling and loosing his ballon @9:54 but then getting it back later! 😂
Haha... was wondering if anyone else saw it. It almost looked like it was staged! 😆
Actually I think it’s actually someone on a zip line falling off, and then watching the line slowly sliding away by itself… wonder if it was Chris😂
I for real thought it was a dog :D
Amazing reviews! Appreciate what you do!
Excellent review as always. Only 18 days until we get to see the X-H2 and the new 40mpx sensor. Can’t wait to learn about the differences between that sensor and the 26mpx stacked sensor in the X-H2S. Hopefully you guys are testing a prepro X-H2 as I type this! I love it when you post those surprise hands-on videos right after the official announcement.
@Random Thought Do you think it will have less video capabilities? Rumors say it will have 8k on it.
Your best FujiFilm review to date. Thank You
09:52 Pahahaha this Kid in the background :D
It’s not the camera for me but it gets me very excited for what’s coming next. I love my XT-4 and I’m looking forward what the next version of that is going to be.
I got mine like a month ago and it’s a really nice option for me. I use a gfx100s for my professional work shooting interior and landscape. I used the x-h2s on a flyfishing video job and it was such a great experience using it. I got big hands so the x-t series always felt a bit small for me. But x-h2s with the deep grip just fits.
Beautiful Calgary’s summer :D the weather is so so good
Good timing, I just watched the pre-production video last night. I don't do any videography, but it makes me pretty excited to see the XH2!
I too am excited for a machine with the first resolution upgrade in years, and at a lower price than this speedy version to boot. I don’t really need more pixels for the sake of sharper images, but I find myself cropping a lot lately, so it would be nice to have extra to work with.
I've been really impressed by Fujifilm cameras less the autofocus (I've only used a handful of their cameras, but the images that come out are just so. dang. pretty). It seems like this camera is a huge step forward for them, which is awesome! I don't think I'll sell my main Sony camera, but I would definitely keep this camera in mind if I did.
As always, thanks for the great review!
autofocus on stills is great.
Thanks DPReview TV👌
I can't imagine needing a better camera than this for many years to come, it looks brilliant! My FF lenses have me leaving the camera at home most days now so switching back to aps-c is very appealing...
Great video. As always. Personally, I am very interested in the ones on fujifilm cameras but I also watch all the rest.
Have the X-H2S, using it exclusively for stills… amazing camera, and quite well focuses on birds in those scenarios, even in flight
Is it worth the extra money though? I mean, the x-trans IV already had beautiful image quality for stills, doing 30fps in high speed burst mode.
@@philipcooper8297 for the sheer pleasure of the new autofocus performance and implementation… yes, it’s worth every single penny
Awesome review! I will probably buy it in about 4 years, when they're available second-hand for about $700-800 less. For now, my X-T2 does the job, but glad to see some major improvements over the X-H1 (which I've also enjoyed shooting with). Been looking forward to this release for a while!
Heck an X-T4 would blow your mind at this point! :)
@@chuckm482 Lol, I'm definitely due for an upgrade.
Just picked up this camera and have no regrets! Paired with my XF 56 f1.2, the portraits I'm getting are amazing.
Excellent review as always. Chris and Jordan are right at the top in my view.
Really helpful info thanks a lot
i test it today, it is wonderful
I‘ve owned the X-H2s for almost a month now and it is by far the greatest hybrid camera experience I‘ve ever had. Beats the R6 and the A7IV easily even though they‘re both great cameras. I still can‘t get my head around how Fuji managed to make this camera this great and how much bang for your buck you‘re getting. I don‘t mean like: „Yeah, it‘s great considering its price.“ but more like „What, how is it possible that this thing is sub 3k?“
It’s simply a great piece of tech.
And when you add in the capable heat management even without the optional fan, I'm surprised that it is smaller and lighter than the XH1. It's really up there with the best of Japanese sports cars.
Needs full frame or else I have no interest in it.
well, afaik, you need one of the newer lenses to actually fully benefit the video af improvements (which are still not up to sonycanon, although notably improved, indeed), and those lenses are quite expensive. with a7iv you can have very good af in video (plus tracking, of course) even with a used 50 1.8 at less than $150. you cant get near that with xh2s, so, if you add the price of the adequate lens, its not that affordable in price as it might seem looking at the body alone. i guess this observation is for a fuji newcomer, not a user that already has the lenses and is invested in the system.
@@MeowjinBoo if you’re work is trash on FF, you’re still trash at the end of the day.
Yup, pretty much sums it up perfectly. Not a perfect camera (just like any other camera), but definitely up there with some of the best. Fuji clearly proved they can compete, unlike what most critics said.
Excellent video 😊
still rockin xt2!
like that big top LCD, good to see them keeping it.
Love my XS-10 but oh my god this looks so good
You guys are Simply awesome. I own a xh2s and yes there is room for improvement I think it is by far the best hybrid camera.
Cannon Eos R3 is a professional hybrid Mirrorless camera which edges ahead of the XH2-S because the AF is better.
@@PSYCHIC_PSYCHO agree to disagree 😊
@ It is a fact that the AF in the XH2-S is flawed; it is also a fact that the AF in the R3 is the best of any camera ever made.
@@PSYCHIC_PSYCHO Again if you say so 😊 because I don t know if you own a xh2 s or you are speaking from other sources. I do own a xh2 s and after the software upgrade I see no flaws at all. And remind me if the r3 has a dual layer sensor or not, hom many frame a second 4k 60 with no crop apple pro res hq internal etc… But this is not a debate on whos bigger these are also facts 😊🙏
Can't wait to see the 40MP sensor in teh X-H2/X-T5 now. Hopefully they announce it in the next Fuji X summit in september and we get a little sneak peek short after.
But I'm definitely exceited to see what's coming to Fuji in the next year !
After the release of XH2S, I took more than 10 videos, and I agree with the DP review. Great works with Tamron 17-70. I want to test 12bit raw, but I'm curious about how it is different from the internal recording.
Take a look at camera conspiracies YT channel!
@Random Thought Reputable and CZcams, enough said on that matter! For me, X-H2S or xh2 are good, Fuji is doing the same thing that has done for past 11 years, each new version is better than last by enough to call it upgrade, the rest is PR and marketing, where is better than CZcams! Although, I should say, at its time X-T3 for video was the most advanced in its ranking! Good old days🍻
@@streets28mm That would be true if it wasn't for the fact that the X-H2S is way better in every way, than the X-H1S. Other than that you are completely right..........
@@streets28mm CC is a muggy clickbait site
@@doghouseriley4732 there is no xh1s and no he doesn't have a colourful background!🍻
I have the GH6 which is amazing so far especially on the video. I’m considering a second B camera and it’s going to be the XH2S. Between GH6 and XH2S all bases are covered. XH2S for stills on critical event, GH6 as main video camera on critical event. They both support ProRes and both have beautiful color rendering with compact lenses due to their sensor sizes. There is no perfect camera but these seem to be the perfect duo.
gh6 seems to have more video features but the sensor is super small. For video only it might be better (if not too much low light) but for photo + video or for low light or for action, xh2s is better
@@Tomoldchannel the sensor size discussion is silly! M43 is not “super small”! Almost the same size as a super 35mm (Red Komodo for example). Creativity, usability, ergonomics, technology, readout speed, editing are much more important than the silly sensor size discussion.
@@Tomoldchannel The X-H2S is so good for video that any advantages for the GH6 would be marginal. Tascam now makes an XLR adapter for Canon and Fujifilm cameras, so that negates one major advantage for Panasonic and Sony. (What about you, OM System?) In addition to ProRes RAW, the X-H2S also offers Blackmagic RAW, something the GH6 lacks. The autofocus is much better as well on the X-H2S.
There comes a point of diminishing returns in that it's pretty hard to find a bad camera these days.
Very nice product 👍
Of course- review over - Cheers Chris 😎😎😎
Great review. For the high FPS capture rate, they probably need to get the processor to prioritize focus over image buffer. I’ve been using the H2S on wildlife at 40fps with a nearly perfect capture rate but I did also find that with flying birds, it did drop a few. Not a big problem considering how many hit. The size, grip, and ease of controls are fantastic. I would recommend Fujifilm add more customization of the command dials (it’d be nice to be able dial ISO or Aperture). A great camera.
@MaxM2000 It does work reliably at 10-15fps. It’s literally in the review.
how do you find the autofocus for wildlife when shooting video, especially at 120p?
Been waiting for this video for some time, not because I'm going to buy the body, but to see how Fuji handled the pre-production issues and how that might, hopefully, be incorporated into the sure-to-come X-T5. Agree with the lenses-for-video issue that Jordan has, would really like to see something akin to a 18-35 1.8 with OIS that's both lighter and brighter than their new power zoom(with aperture ring, of course). Thanks very much for the effort you put into this!
Nice. RAW video and F-Log2 is especially tempting while I don’t really need the better AF. For now, I‘ll keep my X-T3 (love those classic dials) with just a few small lenses plus my Sony gear with more lenses.
For me way batter than X-T4 i was an user of X-T4 for 2 years and now i got X-H2S and i am not dissapointed, and i quess future firmware updates may improve this camera a bit :)
This is an excellent, succinct review. You join all the other reviewers I respect in you enthusiasm for the H2s. If I end up buying one and my wife gives me grief, I'll tell her it's your fault.
Intelligent men abstain from marriage and parenthood, those are about as desirable as spending an eternity in Hell.
Manual focus experience would be epic with the sigma art primes for EF adapted to this camera with a speedbooster!
Jordan mentioned doing a video comparison of the X-H2S with the Lumix GH6 in the Initial review video and I'd love to see that. Both seem like the best video specific mirrorless cameras in that price range right now.
Thanks for the GREAT review! I wish they enabled 6K 60FPS for this camera..
Dear fuji, plz bring an autofocus firmware for xt4 lol. Sincerely, XT4 users
Can’t agree more. The AF is a pain.
@@CommanderSteps Yep. It's nowhere near terrible and unusable. It's just we know it can be much better
@@CommanderSteps XT-4 HAS GREAT AUTOCUS , behind Canon and sony though
@@bunmeng007 It can't. The X-T4/ X-S10 processor is 5 times slower than the X-H2S.
@@Vinterloft where did u get the 5 times slower info from?
I'm sure this will sound laughable to most professional photographers/videographers, but I love Fuji for how they attempt to retain as much of an analog feel as possible in a digital platform. I get it, that can rapidly turn pretentious and vapid, but I personally, in a subjective way, enjoy shooting both video and photo on Fuji more than any other platform. Their film simulations and dial configurations make it so much more enjoyable to focus on the image in the moment and less on how one can change things later on via editing. Combine that with the specs and price point of this camera, and I can't wait to eventually upgrade from my X-S10. Great review, thanks!
I'm with you there. I've shot Leica rangefinder since 1968, both personally and professionally. I love my three X-E cameras. I shot a wedding for a friend with Fuji cameras and would have loved to done my wedding photography with them instead of medium format film bodies.
Fuji customers fanatasism with their "little dials" are what have made Fuji a niche company. The reason for moving towards "Pro style" cameras is because they desparately need new blood. They need people to move from Canon, Nikon and Sony. Other wise Fuji will disappear like many of brands. So it's great that you love your analog feel, but it's like loving your dog so much that you feed in doughnuts all the time - you could kill it.
@@doghouseriley4732 I highly doubt that Fuji will disappear. More of Canon and Nikon would, though not Sony. Too much digital removes the soul and feel of reality.
If only XH2s have silver color i definitely buy it. So far still happy with my Nikon D850 and still produced a great picture quality
The sound quality on the river side take is insane, I mean, full blowing river, full wind....cristal clear voice...
Much improved, glad for this full review. But the compromised initial review issues seem like needless black marks now.
Should be deleted. It will just confuse people who have the attention span of a gnat
@@doghouseriley4732 I bet they won't but that's a good idea.
But also, Fuji wtf. Stop letting people review undercooked products!
@@seantomlinson3320 They all do it
This is a very good video for whay appears to be an interesting camera. At that price point, it should interest a lot of people as a main camera for both video and stills and for anything, including portraits and sports and wildlife. Manny Ortiz shot some amazing pictures with the HX2S and the Fuji 56 F 1.2 lens. Fuji is sure to gain market share!
Excellent review. I consider it a very valuable cornerstone in my considerations when it comes to the final decision whether to switch to Fuji or not. My positive view on the XH2s has been affirmed.👍
Love the review. I’ve on XT from the beginning and wondering how does this compares to XT-5 for my next upgrade.
While I don't shoot Fujifilm, I must say the video from their cameras tend to look very good. It might be me liking the Eterna profile, but there is something cinematic and beautiful about video from Fuji.
Love it.
Setting the record straight here, thank you guys. It's a fantastic camera that I own myself and I agree: it is the best hybrid camera out there right now - even doubly so if you're invested in the Fuji ecosystem.
One of the best if you include the Cannon Eos R3, which has the edge when it comes to AF
Will you guys do a final review of the 18-120 once that's out as well?
One thing that was not covered in the video for event photographers... The photos straight out of the camera look great. Little touch up on exposure, contrast and the photos are ready for clients.
Thanks, guys.
I've decided on the X-H2s. I've been looking at reviews of the H2, and it seems to have more problems with autofocus than the H2s - and in reality, the extra pixels don't mean that much. Then, (donning my fireproof suit) there is the infinitely preferable Fully Articulated Screen😎which knocked the X-T5 out of the running for me. I do hope that FujiFilm stays on top of the issues and does some firmware updates. I know people with the X-H2 and X-T5 would very much appreciate it. And improvements wouldn't do this body any harm either.
So far, the biggest gripes I hear are - Eye Tracking - inconsistency, No selected object tracking, and clumsy ISO setting - although I think that might be "not what I'm used to." Still, the ability to assign ISO to a dial instead of Aperature (which, for most lenses, you have a ring on the lens to handle) - would be a nice improvement and one I would use.
Add in your video concerns, and it's not a huge list - so if Fuji gets busy, they may really knock this out of the park.
I'm like in your boat. Love XT series for their tactile dials. But love h2s for its performance
Nice video
its An amazing camera it takes my career to another level
Looking out for your review on the X-H2. I know it will be slower but that won't be a problem for me, I am a video and still shooter so I think the X-H 2 is for me.
This is called dp review , thanks
For anyone interested in non Fuji glass on this camera - non stabilized, classic adapted lenses, speedboosted or no,(Zeiss and various anamorphics) - the image and noise, even at high iso, was fantastic and beautiful even without NR...ON A tripod or very still shoulder. But you'll need a gimbal or steadycam for anything that moves. Careful handheld (with ibis on) using manual cinema lenses was (even when being very careful) difficult to stabilize in post even with a heavy crop and at various settings. Not sure there is gyro data recorded (like Sony, Red, Blackmagic, etc.). So if your use case is beautiful video, get a team. If it's run and gun with cine look - you'll need something else far more stabilizing. See Gerald undone ibis locked off section of his review to see what I mean. And that was on a stabilized lens.
Bottom right corner of the frame at 9:53, there's a kid in the background with a kite who trips and faceplants so hard! What a subtle comedic insertion by Jordan and Chris!
Love the videos really hope it’s not bios
You didn't even test the high speed videos. But the colors on Fuji are just wow
I still don't understand why Fujifilm with their motion picture film background hasn't created a cinema camera. An Alexa Mini type body with their FLog and their lenses with this new Super 35 sensor...
Can't wait for the xpro4 and the next x100
Hello Chris, It's always great watching your flawless in-depth reviews. Just wanted to get the outdo music track for my productions but its a very painstaking job to search it out from the vast library at 'beat suite'. I would appreciate you guys if you could just name the track in your video description (in this video too), which would help people like me and of course help the original artist as well. God bless you.
Interesting update . Like many I am awaiting the Fuji summit on Sept 11th ( and final Fuji X-2H specs ) before parting with a not inconsiderable amount of £'s ( yes I'm a UK resident, in their early 70's who although disabled ( mobility issues and arthritic hands ) does a lot of street photography in which I feel I'm moderately successful but would still appreciate kit which compensated speed issues in focusing and subject detection.. Video would be a plus but not a deal breaker with excessive "bells and whistles". I keep coming back to the stacked sensor .. somehow feel regardless of the higher expected resolution .. the advantages of speeding processing and image stabilization mean the X-H2S is the likely winner . Any thoughts from yourself or followers.
ps .. In spirit of group and not Google who has just deemed me "Private Private" ( must change ) name is Dave Peacock from North Wales.
I was waiting for a new release Sony that had fast readout sensor in 2022. Unfortunately it’s not happening. The sensor readout has stayed the same or become slower.
The A1 unfortunately is pretty pricy.
I used to have a Fujifilm system as a second camera system, but reluctantly sold it three months ago, so I could just focus on the Sony.
The X-H2S ticks all the boxes, and I remembered I loved the colors of the pictures I took using Fujifilm X-H1.
This camera seems to be in the ‘Goldilocks’ zone. I definitely think it’s one of the best hybrid camera so far.
This was an instant buy!
And if it turns out to be as good as everyone says, I will get another body, while selling some of Sony gear to fund it.
I will be using Sony for portraits and landscape, while the X-H2S will be my main system.
I usually don’t switch systems, but the sensor readout technology for the Sony R series seems to have stalled since the A7R III.
The X-H2S seems to thread that needle of dynamic range, reasonable file sizes, great color, fast sensor readout, pretty good focus, burst speed and a near comprehensive video set.
Great review as usual. What do you think about this camera for portrait/studio work with some of those lovely Fuji primes.
I'd like to see autofocus tests with a cloudy weather. My A7iv performs reasonably well in sunlight. But when shooting people running under cloudy conditions, the hit rate drops to 0% for some bursts whereas some are good. Long hair (focus on the hair) and light eyes seem to be confusing factors.
*George, the 6.2K ProRes RAW looked beautiful. The increased detail became immediately aparant to the eye in comparison to the 4K, which also looks quite good 👍Is it worth shooting in 6.2K ProRes RAW ? YUP !!👍*
As this was a CZcams video, you were watching a VP9 encoded 8 bit representation of it, encoded at a very low bit rate. Yet you can see the difference?
@@mikw1809 Yes. You can always see the difference if the you dither down from a much higher source. CZcams is crappy in a very specific sort of way. The more pixels you have from a source to throw away, then the greater a result you get with the pixels which remain. This is the way oversampling works in cameras, Sir. No magic here, just mathematics.
Fuji going well
Would have been good to see what the 4k 120 fps looked like in comparison to other brands but good review.
Really interesting, and great work as always :-D. Is there much in the way of lense compatibility by adapting other lenses?
I am very much interested in this question. I have a great deal of canon EF glass that I use on my GH5 and GH6. I would love to be able to use them on the fuji XH2s
The fringer adapter works awesome with the Nikon lenses!
@@Bazzie_B I use Fringer on my xt4 with my Canon and Sigma lenses over a year and it works perfect
Awesome review :) I do own both the XT4 and now the X-H2S. The X-H2S is an amazing camera that is super fast. But it does cost a lot - so if you want "bang for your bucks" go for a X-T4 or wait for the X-H2 :)
How's AF with the 17-70 on the X-H2S? I find that it's ok on the X-T4, but certainly could be better, especially in video where eye AF would miss or drift off randomly. It seemed ok for stills, but then again I don't do anything more taxing than normal portraiture, a bit of walking shots here and there.
@@professionalpotato4764 you mean the 16-80mm? I dont own that lens anymore. Sold it :) But I`ve tried the X-H2S with 90mm f2, 50-140f2.8 , 33mm 1.4 and 16-55 f2.8. The AF is greatly improved on them all. I`ve always kinda felt like the camera body was the "bottleneck" because of the insane fast AF motors on those lenses. Reggie B. did a AF test a little while ago and I think he found it to be like 30-40% faster than XT4. Also with animal etc focus its really great. The AF in general feels just more "sticky" and its amazing how good it works! :)
@@bilbo81 Ah my eyes must have been confused with another comment. I thought you owned a Tamron 17-70mm (which I picked up over the 16-55 for price/OIS). Sounds great that there's significant improvements in your experience. I'm pretty excited to rent one to try things out.
@@professionalpotato4764 The autofocus on the Tamron is a great combo on the xh2s. You can check my channel to see it in action.
Soend £400 less for an old camera, with average autofocus? Great advice
12:30 Jordan, please tell us about your shooting experience with that camera and lens combination.
wish canon would do the same with the various options for electronic shutter speed on some of their cameras
do you feel the AF issues on the faster frame rate could also rely on which lens you use? if theres any chance of a faster motor to keep up and not trick the AF to back focus when its too slow for a moving subject it could be a factor..?
Newer lenses perform better. The 150-600 is truely incredible on the X-H2S
Mike Riley's channel shows how good it is in low light too, very surprising
Thank you for an interesting story and a substantial video. Please tell me, what cameras during the shooting of the video make it possible to click on the object and continuously monitor it by leading focus on it in automatic mode? This is said in the video on the time scale 9.13. This is a very important function for me.
Maybe Firmware can add setting to quicken back focus compared to slowing front focus ☺ And vice versa too.
Now I am interested BUT stock in stores is really very limited for this camera and some of the lenses.
How about a video of past (10yrs old) and present cameras comparing image quality? Do we really need these current cameras?
I am waiting to see what the the X-H2 (Still Photographer)
Which lens did you use to test the autofocus? Thanks for the great review!!

@camera conspiracies is going to have a field day with this
Oh Camera Conspiracy….the guy who makes poor quality videos regardless of camera brands or models…
@@ryanhoviolin yeah that guy is a complete gronk
He is a muggy clickbait youtube channel owner who has a camera. His own content is so apalling and yet idiots subscribe, there is truely no limit to human stupidity.
So I’ve owned the XH2S for almost a year now (11 months). And once I took the time and figured out the quirks, I haven’t set it down. I even sold my FX3 and A7iv, mostly because the A7iv was prone to overheating, especially while I was in SE Asia.
The XH2S is by no means perfect, but no camera is, especially hybrid cameras. The question is, can I replace my GFX 100s and one of the two XH2S bodies with the new GFX 100 ii?
I only use the 100s for clients that need high detail stills. But all of them are local and my interiors clients. So the question would be, is the 100 ii good enough for me to carry 2 different mounts?
It's odd how much review weight and time were put towards exceedingly niche super-high burst speeds on this camera. It looks solid - great for hybrid shooters, maybe a bit overpriced for stills vs. full frame options.
Interetsing how it looks as thogh it has the measure of the R6 even though that is full frame. Cheaper lenses, more lens variation, 3rd party etc. Seems like it is a great package
@@doghouseriley4732 cheaper lenses? Fuji's high end lenses are often the same price or more expensive than equivalent full frame options.
Amazing. I wish Fuji would make a dedicated video camera. The body would look great and with these guts it'd be quite the camera.
I wish they made a stills only camera. I never use the video mode. 🙂
@@tlg6339 Yeah I guess you pay extra for those bells and whistles you don’t need.
Any news on the OM-1 final review?
It's not that I'm not interested in the X-H2S, but I'm more interested in this: What is the Canon reference publication shown at 0:48 - 0:57? I admit that anything involving rangefinder Canons gets my attention.
It's the catalogue from the Leica auction we went to a few months ago. You can find out more in this episode:
czcams.com/video/WaEJ-Mvu1Eg/video.html
Chris and Jordan, where does the X-H2S stack against the other hybrid cameras from your previous review? Z9 must be higher up, right? But the cost difference might make the Fujifilm edge it out?
Will you guys do an OM-1 review on the production version?
Been waiting for this! Already own one, but would love to see their take on it with the updated software and the time spent using it in the field.
@@temujen yeah, it's been a long time since their initial review, where there wasn't even raw support yet for Adobe. I imagine it's Chris' most used body, so I'm curious why we haven't seen the full review yet.
I dont shoot video much but this camera will hit the niche for video shooters.....now fujifilm needs to make a camera for photography dedicated something with less pixels (the dynamic range will suffer if pixel count goes too far up on APS-c sensor)....fast reading/shooting experience and a much lighter camera.
the XT-1->XT->2->XT3->XT4-XT-5 is definitely getting bigger and HEAVIER along with the price....and I wish Fujifilm makes something like the XT3 (the XT3 sold the most if im right throughout the world) due to that compact size tilting screen that doesn't go sideways but up and down (THIS IS IMPORTANT FUJI) ...along with that form factor...its totally a monster...
photography camera-tilts up and down
video camera tilts sideways
if the XT-5 tilts sideways....im gonna go out and buy another used XT-3 maybe 2 for future use/for jobs
I'd be really nice if fujifilms adds the slower read-out. Not just for nature tripod work.
But mostly for doing time-lapses. This is often done with sunsets and sunrises where i'd like to squeeze at every last bit of dynamic range.
But i don't like wearing out the physical shutter with that kind of work.
Or fix the lines in the pictures via electronic shutter. Mostly in low light.
@@matthewclark3285 that sounds like banding. Which is problem with artificial light sources with an electronic shutter.
That is very very hard to fix.
Yup it really pisses me off. I love the silence of electronic shutters. I heard Sonys new camera can do it but at 8 grand Canadian, that’s nuts.
not sure this is the forum for such requests, but when the Fujifilm company release the 30mm macro f/2.8 in the next few weeks (Sept 8th, 2022), can you guys please review it?
