  • Today, we’re whipping up the most refreshing #summercocktail of all! We are making Watermelon Margaritas. Yes, please! The #cocktail comes together from scratch and begins with a blender full of watermelon. In addition to the #watermelon, you’ll want to have limes, tequila, orange liqueur, and a #simplesyrup. Don’t worry about that simple syrup - it’s the easiest thing you’ll ever make!
You can get the full recipe here: www.theanthonykitchen.com/wat...
To begin, cut into the watermelon and cut it into cubes. Then, add the cubes to the blender. Turn on the #blender and puree the watermelon. Then, grab a sieve, place it over a bowl, and pour the blender contents over the sieve. This extra step is important as it removes any pulp, leaves behind only the #watermelonjuice, and makes for a smooth sipping cocktail!
Now for the simple syrup, add water and sugar to a saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Then, allow it to cool.
If you are using a salt or sugar rim, you’ll want to add that to the glass first and then fill it with ice. To make the #WatermelonMargarita, combine #tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, watermelon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker full of ice. Pop on the lid and shake until good and chilled. If you are not using a salt or sugar rim, you can add the ingredients directly to the glass and just give it a good stir!
It’s everything you know and love about a #margaritarecipe, but with big watermelon flavor, and it’s truly the perfect cool and refreshing summer cocktail!

Simple syrup is simple. Lol I love your sense of humor. We are going to spend our 4th of July at our bay house down by the coast. The last couple years we have been competing and a 4th of July cooking contest. it's all for fun and party to of course. They do have a margarita category and I think I'm going to enter it and may make this recipe. If I do and if I win I'll let you know. Anyway God bless from H-Town.

Looks perfect! I'm hosting my housewarming/pool party this weekend for my girlfriends and I plan on making these. Question: for the simple syrup, how much sugar and water? Just eyeball it? Thanks!

I tried this recipe and it was great. Just one thing though in my case salt did not stick to glass edges.

Hi Onkar! So glad you liked the margs! Here’s an old bartender’s trick for making sure your salt/sugar rim stay put: Rosa’s lime juice!
You pour it over the sponge from a salt/sugar tray and dab the rim of the glass in the Rosa’s syrup. The syrup has sugar in it and makes it a little more sticky, helping that salt to adhere and realllllly stay put!
Here’s a link for the type of tray I’m talking about: www.amazon.com/dp/B07F3ZZCXV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_f4N7Eb1NHHH86
      Hope that helps 😊

I think he meant, can’t believe you are cutting limes on that beautiful counter top. If someone did that to my countertops I’d have a fit !! 😡
