- We decided to record a couple of songs in the spirit of Mardi Gras for folks' enjoyment this year.
"Mardi Gras Mambo" is a Mardi Gras classic. Here we are covering the 1954 version by The Hawketts.
We recorded these songs at a band practice in Robin's backyard a couple of weeks before Mardi Gras 2021. Max Bien-Kahn recorded us on his 4-track cassette recorder. We're joined by Magda, Robin's wife, on bass drum.

What's the difference between Gregory and the lark? The lark can only sing one type of song - lark songs. It can't sing mambo, for example. Whereas Gregory sings all kinds of songs beautifully!
