Happy Mardi Gras!!!! It's the season for all songs Mardi Gras. This is an old favorite of the band. We were dressed for the night of the Chewbaccus parade.

But the band is playing it in A flat; and it seems to be a three-chorder. If you play along with it, you will need the chords of Eb7, Db, and obviously Ab most of all.
Proof that what Georg Christoph Lichtenberg said was true: "That the most important things are done through tubes"! I've really been enjoying your videos. I always liked the original recordings of early jazz, but not so much the Dixieland bands of the various revivals over the decades, for the most part. I like your relaxed approach. Not to be dogmatic about it, but I think being and sounding relaxed is one of the most important things in any performance. Thanks!

Many thanks. 'Mardi Gras Mambo' is on the band's 2021 Album called 'Mardi Gras'. It was composed in 1953 by Frankie Adams and Lou Welsch.
