IIRC GM did a recall or something to replace these tubes for free at the dealership. My Wife had it done and now that the car is out of warrantee they want $3500.00+ to repair the rear drain tubes or just repair all the damage done when the rear spare tire wheel well filled with water. Heard that Canada has a class action lawsuit against GM for this issue but not here in the U.S.A.. Pi**es me off they want to charge us for all the damage that was caused by their known defects. I have a really bad back so it makes it a lot worse for me to repair the damage caused by those GM so-called engineers.
I have a 2004 with the same issue. How do you remove that side panel? It has an airbag emblem there.
Pop the emblem off with a flat head screwdriver or something similar
