- Is the Cadac still worth buying in 2022 and what is it like to have 18 months after purchase.
Here are our thoughts. The Safari Chef is perfect for couples due to its size and ease of storage. The unit has proved itself to be robust with no cracking of the paint. It is as easy to clean today as it was when we first purchased it. Having its own storage bag means it can be packed neatly away for storage. Oven liners certainly help with cleaning and to help to stop any item you are cooking from sticking.
Overall, we are very pleased with it, have looked at upgrading to a newer model but feel this little cooker does the job beautifully and has given us very good service and value for money. Even in 2022, we think this is a perfect accessory for any caravan, campervan, motorhome or for camping.

1 very small slight problem. It's a Sunday raining all this talk of breakfast, dinner etc has us all hungry and wanting to grill! Great quick review!
We know that feeling. For us we're not away in the caravan right now so cooking up breakfast on the drive would get the neighbours talking 🤣🤣😍
They seem to be decent for the price don’t they - we’ve had one a few months now and no real complaints with it - great to see a review after a period of time as things can change can’t they, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
We've got a safari chef 2 and love it, does all we need 👍
We’ve recently bought the cadac Ebraai. Impressed with it so far Alan. It quite heavy though.
Hi Guys. Love the video. Cadac is a great peace of kit and we do have one and love it. Not used it as much as we'd like to with gas prices high at the moment but would never consider getting rid of it. Hope your both well. Cheers Paul and Sarah
We're glad we opted for flogas as it's easy available round where we live and a lot lot cheaper than calor. Don't think we do too bad at £22 for a 6kg propane that lasts quite a while for us.
Hi hope you’re both well. That Cadac Safari certainly looks the business 👌
Well worth it for us due to size and easy storage 😍
Hi Alan & Ally. Hope you’re both well. We are still using our tepenyaki grill & we’re happy with that for now. We might invest in a cadac for next year 🤔 Jo & Chris x
Well worth considering if you have an external BBQ point on the caravan.
We have a cadac, a big one which husband bought over 10 years ago, it is still unused despite me saying this year we must use it so, unfortunately, I can’t comment on how good it is, it does take up a lot of room in the shed though😅.
That is a crying shame. 😢 Have a search for Tintenter on CZcams for a load of cadac cooking inspiration 😍
I've just bought a Grillo Chef 40 and a quick release connector. I've been trying to unscrew the part with the blue turning thing so that it will be possible to connect my quick release but it's impossible to turn. I realised that trying to unscrew it by hand was totally out of the question so I tried using the tool for opening jars but still it hasn't moved. Has anyone else had this trouble or does anyone have any suggestions about how it could be unscrewed?
Just a thought, is it a left hand thread so a normal tighten is the way to get it off. 🤔
