  • In this video I fit the Cadac Dual Power Pak to the Cadac Safari Chef 2.
Hope you find it useful even though the video ended up a bit long!

Our CV40 van is on order and we have been buying a few bits and bobs and this video is about the Cadac Safari Chef Quick Release fitting for a regulator.

Thank you for your video solved a problem I had in not wanting to take a large gas bottle away with me. 👍🏻

Great news - the video is a bit long really but I'm really pleased if it's helped someone!

Thankyou, truly hysterical, you should be a comedy sketch writer. But it was a good, clearly explained video.

Kind of did it as a bit of a giggle to amuse myself but thank you for you comment.

When screwing on those gas canisters try to have the canister upright… you’ll get far less leaking : )

Great video… amusing and captures my current confusion having just ordered a new cadac 2 cook 3 stove. I’ve had ‘real’ gas BBQS before with a big ‘caravan’ style bottle and I also wild camp and have a bunch of little ‘screw on’ gas stoves. But the whole cadac thing still confused me.
Even now (a year since your video) they still seem to be in the phasing out process of screw fit to quick release, and you can still find products in their range that mismatch.

I’ve gone for the same bbq with quick release, but will use the campingaz regulator and a R904 bottle. My thinking is the R904 will be a good backup to the R907 used in the California

That makes sense for the backup. The van we're getting is the CV40 and that has an underslung gas tank and I sort of see the Cadac as a bit of a backup too but I've been using it more generally at home. I've the sheets that go on top and they save so much cleaning. Just checked out your channel and we're thinking about Bromptons but they're a hefty price tag but the form factor nails it. Thanks for dropping by.

Great video matey. We went for the cadac with the longer legs and dual bottle setup for the garden. It came with the dual pak and correct fittings. My question is can you use just one bottle in the dual power pak? I cannot see why not as the valves are self sealing. If you are stuck with just one bottle in stock and food to cook surely you can just throw a single bottle on and light the thing.
