  • Have you ever watched product reviews when the person has only had the item a few days? Ever wondered how they’ve got on with it over time?
Well we’ve owned the Cadac Safari Chef 2 HP for 6 months now and used it over 30 times.
This long term review of the Cadac Safari Chef 2 HP compact gas barbeque (bbq) will hopefully give you some ownership insights.
Watch this and get an idea how the Cadac has got on and what we think of it now...

That's a REALLY good point. To review something 2 weeks after its bought will not tell you anything about the actual good and bad things from actual USAGE of the product, so this review is much more useful. You might be bald but you obviously have something INSIDE your head too... Thanks for a great review!

Thanks for this and your original review. I ordered mine immediately after watching your original review last night. I’m pleased to see in your 6 mo review you still like it. I bought the HP version.

    Thanks for this.
I got the hp by mistake on Wednesday.
I had ordered the lp but hp arrived.
I was going to return it, but decided to keep it.

The manual says that you can connect the high pressure unit to a gas cylinder with a hose. 🙂 So you can use the canister and a cylinder if you want to.

👍🏼 It has to be a high pressure hose with adapter for LPG cylinder.

bert1e Yes, all the Cadacs are superb, I used to have a Carri Chef which was superb apart from being a bit too bulky for our needs.

It was your review amongst others that led me to getting one! All the years of camping without.

Any problems with Wind blowing gas out ? We have ..not sure if need new burner ?

I’ve only really used mine when there’s been little to no wind so not had this problem, though I have heard Cadacs can be susceptable to the wind when looking at other reviews. Not sure if a new burner would sort it unless they do a different one that’s more wind proof?
