Why would it blow your mind? They're Filipino, just because they're Korean by blood doesn't make them any less. They spent their whole lives in the Philippines and raised with the culture. Thats like saying every immigrants kid in the US is not American. Would their American accents blow your mind?

Bibingka and Puto Bungbong are best enjoyed with Tsokolate Patirol, especially during the Christmas season. They are typically served right after the morning mass, known as 'Simbang Gabi'. A combination of Bibingka/Puto Bungbong and hot Tsokolate is best enjoyed in the cool and chilly weather, particularly in the early morning of December.
Traditionally Puto Bumbong and Bibingka are sold during Ber Months. But in some places it is now all year round.

Try to go to Misa de Gallo or Simbang gabi during December, that's the best time to eat puto bumbong and bibingka. They are go-to-foods after attending the Simbang Gabi

My mom is from Pampanga, and I miss the bibingka and puto bumbong there. It's been over 20 years since I had it there. Watching your family eat together reminded me of me and my cousins doing the same thing. I miss Christmas in the Philippines.

I love the bibingka with salted egg as toppings & yong bibingkang galapong (rice flour) but the egg bread that uses wheat/all purpose flour is a good too & was easy to make.

Puto bumbong made with real pirirutong rice. Here in Manila it is now most often food coloring.
Tsokolate in the province is made with thick brewed chocolate tableas, thick creamy carabao's milk.
Swerte nyo dyan. Sa Manila puro substitute or not quite the really good stuff.

Every school have advantages and disadvantages. It's up to the students how she or he responds, react, learn and adopt in a journey of being students.
I once visited your university before in Hongdae University and Yonsei University in Korea for missionary trip and I met some students and staff of schools University and in my opinion they are friendly but you need to angage them first. Overall I like koreans to talk with them and be friends and curious to know more about your culture.

Grew up in Angeles City, went to Holy Family Academy next to Sto. Rosario church (Angeles Pampanga church lol) It's been 36 years since we left and never been back. I missed those bibingkas and Christmas carolers. I need to take my kids there. Cheers.
