Jennifer Ledger's voice is literally perfect. I highly recommend also listening to her solo stuff. It's really good. Her albums go by "Ledger".
She sings up in her nose too much. It oddly works for that song but I would be disinterested in hearing a solo album. Not a bad singing voice but "perfect?" You must not get out much.

Skillet is the only band I know of that is split 50/50 with men and women. And the two older members (bassist/vocalist John and rhythm guitarist/pianist Korene) are married.
The amount of skill it takes to sing properly while keeping beat of the drums is under rated as hell
The drummer, Jen Ledger, is phenomenal. The drumming in their songs isn't anything super special, but the fact that she does it flawlessly AND sings (also flawlessly) is just brilliant.

Just about my reaction to Jen when I realized she was also the drummer. She's legit one of my favorite drummers in the business and Skillet proves that even christian rock doesn't have to suck.
I would listen to anything as long as I like it, wouldn't really care if it's Christian rock or any other subgenre
The fact this is Christian Rock makes it even better in my opinion.

Had no idea who they were back then. Opening song was Hero and from that point on when I very first saw Jen drumming and singing I was floored! Been a fan since. That show, the live sound was amazing...completely smashed your face in 😆

That whole album that rise was on was a bit underwhelming when I first heard it but it grew on me over the years and I still revisit it now. So many layers to it. Rise is quality.

One of my favorite Christian metal bands ever along with Red. I've seen Skillet several times and they are awesome in concert. Check out their new album Victorious is great. All the music they have put out is great.

This band is underrated and yet have held up and aged well and one of the best performances live you can see in your life. Incredible. My kids jam to them so hard since they were very young. I can put on this band and they can be across the house and hear them scream "SKILLET!!" and come running to rock with me.

I saw Skillet perform so many times before they crossed over to mainstream. They are one of the reasons I started taking Christian Rock/metal seriously and led me to discovering bands like Underoath, Mewithoutyou, Emery, etc. They ALWAYS put on an awesome show.
