Honestly, both partners should think their spouse is the prize! Simone is so talented, obviously sweet, supportive and beautiful. So pathetic that he's acting like he lowered himself to be with her and to broadcast that sentiment so publicly. He's definitely jealous of all her accolades.

@@EriPages “pro woman bias” ? Supporting your life partner is a two way street. Simone talks positively in public about her husband, her husband should do the same thing. Simple as that. You’re speaking on potential scenarios that do not exist saying “if we flipped genders” meanwhile we’re talking about real life where he is on camera saying these words, where everyone, male and female have heard of Simone, where plenty of people regardless of whether you watch female sports, have indeed watched the Olympics and don’t just suddenly turn it off when a women’s sport come on the TV.
Women’s sports may not be popular but are we really gonna debate about an Olympian? Regardless of if we know the sport or not we hear about the athletes competing in the Olympics on behalf of our country don’t we? We most definitely hear about the winners of the Olympics. They get plenty sponsorships, commercials and interviews amongst other things when they are at the top of their game and top of their sport.
The entire purpose of this video is to highlight that regardless of where each person is in their respective fields, they should cheer for one another and support each other. Exhibit A in the video Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce. Both successful however, Taylor is a Global star Travis is not, he does not take any opportunity to put her down or make himself look better and neither does she. They equally support each other. Some guys do anything to earn your love. They promise to always prioritize you, take good care of you, make surprises for you, and marry you, but when they earn your love, they take you for granted and start treating you like everyone else. They become lazy and careless and barely text you first. Ive known a guy who was so lovely, but when he faced some hard circumstances in his life, he became someone else. Someone I didn't know before. He became a lazy, careless, blameful, irresponsible, and mean person.

    • @alexialira3839

It's only natural for the "excitement" to taper off once you've been with the same person after a while. You can't expect the other person to act the same way they did in the beginning like calling or texting you first or often.
      It's not realistic.
We get older and mature too. We're no longer hormonally raging nor love struck teens. Life happens and we experience sickness, death of loved ones, loss of job, financial issues, job issues, kids, mental issues, etc.
You said yourself he fell on hard times, but you want him to be happy, text you first, prioritize you, surprise you, care for you and be the same guy he was in the beginning.
Of course he changed. I would too if I was going through a rough time. I actually have in the past become lazy, careless, mad, stressed, unhappy and less attentive to my loved ones when I've gone through bad times.
If my husband or boyfriend is whining about not getting attention and surprises saying he misses who I was in the beginning while I battle hard times I'd get in a worse mood. I'd rethink my relationship with him and wonder why his first thought "me me me" while I'm going through bad times.

It’s so important to work on your self esteem so you spot these things early on especially if your family never ingrained this in your consciousness. I am careful about throwing around the word narcissist- I like to save that for the kind of pure evil that it is. For me, this guy is just the garden variety insecure man child who does not know how to step to a woman of her calibre. And in Simone, what I see is another uber strong talented woman, for whom there are fewer worthy men and so she has to adjust and pivot and try to figure out how to not make a man uncomfortable with her. I feel a collective sense of exhaustion that men who might be worthy could be too intimidated to approach her, and only the truly unworthy men have the huberis and guts and gall to speak about this amazing woman this way. This guy needs to find some humility and recognize the queen he married, and then start PUBLICLY putting Simone on the pedestal she deserves.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have a rough upbringing and all your achievements begin with having to audition for the opportunity. She doesn't know any other way yet, and I sympathize with that.. just hope she comes to understand this sooner rather than later, when the pain of realization will be significantly less.

Great video! Could you please talk a bit more about the girl "initiating" the relationship and the difference between that and pursuing later on? You say that initiating is ok, but I don´t see clarity, as I am quite stuck and hesitant right now (I feel I am now always waiting for him to act first, or otherwise it will not work out, but I don´t know if I am being "extreme"; I think I act like this because I realised that in all my past relationships (which never turned out well), I was the one initiating (or actively "making possible" the first encounter, starting a conversation, etc.). I would really, really appreciate it! Thank you and love from the UK ❤

The thing is that, for instance: I am not a 10, maybe an 8 (and I am not workinghard to be a 10, I couldn'tcare less), ...but I think that I am a 20 💅🏻...AND my husband thinks that I am a 100 😉 and also he loves me for all the things I am and all the things I will never be. That is the way it should be. Also, of course, he is a 100 for me too.

I think this is obvious insecurity but they are both young. My hubby and I have been married almost 28 years. We were very young when we got married and we both had our insecurities. I can’t imagine having our marriage in the spotlight when we were both so young and still had so much to learn. I think it’s not fair to judge him harshly. I do see what people are saying but give him some grace. Maybe this was just the pressures a young insecure lad feels around other men. If he truly loves her he’ll learn from this. They both will. Love you channel Jillz!

This is my first loooong relationship, and I don’t know whether to tap out or keep trying to get things back to the way they were. I so very much agree with this, the woman should ALWAYS be the prize. I was just recently in an on-and-off situationship with a guy, and at first, it did really seem like, yes I was the gem in his eyes. But later he started to talk about how he was so fit and strong and always went to the gym and whenever I would talk about my much bigger achievements or opportunities he would dismiss it, saying "Yeah, because you're smart" and leave it at that. I was on Facetime with him once, and I really wanted to show him what I was playing. He couldn't give two flying craps and was just playing Fortnite. Learn from Simone and me men who don't see you as the gem aren't worth it ever.

All I need to say is we all call him “Simone Biles husband” I literally don’t even know his name, and I’m assuming many other people don’t.
Recently I heard someone say something with a similar energy. They said with 100% seriousness “Taylor swifts new boyfriend put her back on the map” my single phrase retort to that was “what’s Taylor swifts new boyfriends name?” They didn’t have the answer.
Both partners should care and cherish each other. I think that love in of itself is to hearts becoming one anatomically speaking, if you take two human hearts, and put them together in a certain way, they form what we would think of in the heart shape ❤ but if one heart is bigger then the other it will throw off the symmetry. Which is to say if one person cares WAY MORE it can throw off the relationship.

  • @richardw3347
    @richardw3347 Před 5 měsíci

Relationships tend to work best when the girl chases the guy a bit more bc girls get bored when the guy hands her everything too easily. The guy can see himself as the prize and still cherish the girl if he's really into her. There can be nuance there. Some guys can be macho and egotistical with their power tho so pick wisely. Psych hacks channel explored this recently as well. Ideally both should see each other as a prize, generally speaking.
High value guys are also more rare, plus men don't care as much about women`s accomplishments they focus more on looks and youth/fertility. That may explain their dynamic to some degree. I also think Owens was just playing it up for the podcast bc he knows Simone is the bigger star, so he wanted to look cool in front of the boys. I think it was on the cheekier side but you can argue it was done out of insecurity too. Rational male is a good channel to watch. Alexander Grace also has good info.

As to her husband...he's been yapping about their relationship almost non-stop for the last few months, but it seems I still haven't been able to grasp his name or what he does for a living. He's some kind of sportsman I reckon, but there's dozens out there. Claiming he's the prize in their marriage sounds like a bit of a stretch indeed
