- Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! We buddy boated with Nick on his Triumph to check out some new rockfish spots. We tried all sorts of different depths and scored our limit of Reds as well as some other assorted fish. Nick eventually found a spot that was loaded with good grade fish but we had already switched it up and were drifting in shallow for halibut. Next time!

Adam, being that you have a full-time job,I really appreciate the effort you put in to make content for us to enjoy. It's funny that while fishing on the El Dorado, I caught my biggest Red while fishing in about a hundred feet of water. I wish I could attach a picture. We also caught and released more chuckle heads than I could count. Limit only one, porque?
I appreciate you watching! Thats awesome, shallow water reds are so fun. I am not sure about the chucklehead either, I have some spots where its almost 100% chucks.
You should definitely give Newport a try for rock fish. 600 to 700ft big ones out there. electric reel if you have one.
Yea we have some good spots out of Newport. Just trying to find better ones out of Dana when we launch there

they need to ban fishing like this for a few years, catching freaking incredibly small fish that havent had much chance to reproduce is why the fishery in Southern Calif is now TRASH. smh
Southern California has one of the greatest fisheries bro…People would kill to have the fishery we do. There’s constantly new regulations that come out to protect these fish which are created from biological research. Don’t be upset some people want to put food on their plate that is naturally sourced and not filled with hormones.
@@nickwilde7000 That's BS.... I grew up in Southern California and used to go out on the Davies locker charter.... These days it's a waste of time. All you catch is two or three teeny fish like these guys got.... Teeny ones when you used to get nice fish 20- 30 years ago.... which only hurts the fishery more... Taking out those little teeny fish like these guys is wrong..😡🙄🤦
Couldn’t be more wrong no dude. We tried a bunch of new spots. Nick found a rock later that afternoon loaded with big rockfish. Part of the game is exploring and trying to get find the bigger ones. Also ironic you’re saying you used to go on the cattle boats when they take 50 people 2 times a day to the same spot 😂
@@fluentfishing throw the little ones back!!🙄😡......to try to blame me as ironic for being a young kid and not knowing that The California fish and game was Gavin newsom-esque....is crazy.... They just need to regulate the small fish Better.... not let people catch those little teeny fish that haven't even had a chance to reproduce 🤦
