  • Lost a bunch of footage when the SD card in my old phone went so I had to piece this together with what I had. Sorry about the rough editing but the good news I got a new camera and SD so hopefully it wont happen again.

Hello , where are the intake manifold connections? I can’t seem to see any on my 82 rebuild. Thank you.

One on the front of the intake and one on the back of the intake. Coolant cycles through the intake manifold via its own passage. If you dont have those then you have either an aftermarket or someone has blocked them off which was relatively common to see years ago.

I do not have them. I need my heater core to work, so I assume I can hook the hose up in the traditional fashion? Thank you.

Hey! Good to see it running. You give me hope! My 84 258 is apart and the first cleaning is done (with so many more to go!) Crank and rods are ok but I will need new rings and bearings and some exhaust valves. I finished lapping intake valves today and it made me think of you up there and I found your video. Sorry about your camera glitch (I use a Canon Vixia C500M which is a low light cam good for less than ideal ship light. Will begin port matching in AM while thinking of the sound of yours starting. Congrats!

Yea, really annoyed had some great footage of the bumper build especially I was looking forward to putting together. Eventually I'll get a second camera going so I'll always have some footage I can rely on.
