Ultimate Carnage is literally just FlatOut2 with Reshade + perfect config preinstalled and texture updates, and I love it

It's Flatout Ultimate Carnage... Without "2" in name
I mean, it sort of is, since it is bassicaly an Xbox 360 and PC upgraded version, yes the soundtrack is different but its not wrong if you call it that.

The Soundtrack in this game was just frickin' awesome
This game can fight with Burnout 3 with lots of brutality and for this game including bodies flyaway from Vehicles
Burnout was faster paced but Flatout 2 was basically unrivaled damage wise and carnage wise imo until BMG Drive came out as well as Flatouts successor wreckfest came out more recently. Both imo had GOAT soundtracks that perfectly fit the atmosphere of both respective titles

Damn, FOUC got some really nice graphics for such an old game even for today, it's crazy to think that this game was released almost 14 years ago (june 2007) just one year after FO2 release (look up graphics comparison if you haven't seen fo2, its crazy how much they improved).
I don't think Flatout Ultimate Carnage is overly improved from Flatout 2.
Flatout 2 is still extremely good and realistic in terms of graphics.
Flatout Ultimate Carnage seems to use more dark colors and enhanced shadows.
In terms of physics, Flatout 2 seems to be better.
It doesn't seem to affect you much when you hit the wall slightly from the side in Flatout Ultimate Carnage.
In Flatout 2, when you hit the wall slightly from the side, it will be the same as what happens in real life.
Flatout 1 is definitely the best physics Flatout game. As the series progressed, the game became more arcade-like...
@@MinecraftvsBurnout Agree with you, FO2 physics are a lot better and require more skill. Making a great turn in FO2 feels a lot more rewarding and satisfying than FOUC. I sometimes jump into FO2 even today, because the gameplay is tons of fun, especially when you have great skill and know all the tricks. But the FOUC graphics are to this day still looking sharp, they felt almost next gen back in the days.
@@caley1942 You are right too, man. But still, I don't think Flatout 2's graphics are too much less than Ultimate Carmage.
So the graphics of Flatout 2 are comparable to current games. Only the shadows indicate that it is now an old game.
Seriously, even Flatout 1 is still not outdated in terms of graphics. :)

Flatout 1,2 and UC are my childhood games and watching someone appreciate, enjoy and have fun in them in 2021 makes my heart spark with joy.
Wreckfest is a really good spiritual successor but it lacks personality that Flatout 2 and UC had. The rivals always having same cars in each class and them having their style and name was GENIOUS! I always hated Jack Benton because he was usually the fastest..

6:15 pressing the change camera button while ejecting makes the camera switch back to the car. Learned this in the Test drive level of FO2 where it always said it.

Are you talking about FlatOut 2 or Ultimate Carnage? FO2 has an amazing soundtrack, while Ultimate Carnage is kinda garbage. The only good song that I remember from it is Hypnogaja - They Don't Care

While FO2 has some great songs in it, part of the soundtrack is just awful.
And in Germany, we have only Crash Dummies in the cars... but, it’s still great and I have some good memories about the game. Also the online modes were fun. Many east European players, but still fun to play.

There aint gonna be a wreckfest 2. No reason. Just keep adding to the current game. Not enough ppl play it honestly onna daily basis for them to even think about creating a 2nd one.
I think it's because of limited scope, like in og FlatOut. Banger racing on those tiny "realistic" tracks gets old eventually. FlatOut 2 was step in right direction, with more variety, and MUCH more use of destruction system, making it part of racing rather than just eye candy. Give me map and cars like in FO2, and driving and destruction physics like in WF, and I won't need new racing game for another decade

Crashday is better than Flatout in so many aspects (not all), but definitely worth trying!

hows the rubber banding in this game compared to the original flatout 2? i played FO2 recently and it was generally fun but the ai slingshots past you even if youre using a max upgraded fastest car in the game and it hurt the experience a lot for me
the muscle cars i also found to just drift and spin out of control way too easily so by the time youre getting to maximum speed it doesnt feel good to control i think

I still prefer the original Flatout 2 simply thanks to the soundtrack. Especially since I generally don't care for graphics and think that the old one has its own charm.
