Attention Everyone:
There is a fan remaster of Driver
Called The Driver Syndicate.
This is as close as we are getting to an official sequel.
It includes all new maps and cars.
I dont know its current status however its been a while since i played the WIP release.
It's still alpha under development, but community are alive and making mods
actually driver syndicate is a spiritual successor of driver 1 not a remaster. it's also made by JellySoap the same guy who reverse engineered RE-DRIVER 2. Speaking of RE-DRIVER 2 the dev is working on something called OpenDriver2 which will be like RE-DRIVER 2 but will become pure pc with no more psx emulation meaning there won't be any restrictions to improving and modding things. This will also include the ability to use driver 1 level files therefore porting the psx driver 1 to pc (sort of).
Driver Syndicate is heavily based the first Driver. If you want Driver 2 remaster, try Redriver 2. They have fixed lot of graphic glitches like short draw distance. And the most important is less frame drop due to PSX hardware limitations.
@@Comando52Colton colton cameo appearance!!!
@@Comando52Colton RD2 has no emulation already. OpenDriver2 would just mean that it will become an open modding platform for Driver 1 and 2 content.
I'm almost positive you cranked a 10/10 difficulty game up to 11 by running the physics at a higher FPS than they were ever meant to run.
But he didn't. He played it in 30 fps, just how this game was programmed to be.
@@patrxgt9691 that ain't no 30fps, friend.
@@McLennox Yes, it is, REDriver2 is locked at 30 fps and it cannot be unlocked.
No. That's 60 fps. They unlocked that feature.
@@blakecooper669 Having been recently playing the game and recorded some clips; I can confirm that the game does in fact run at a smooth *30fps* despite any video recording would think it's running higher than that.
It is said that they're working on making the engine handle 60fps.
But for now, the game is running at 30fps by default.
driver 2 was my favorite driver game but the survival mode was the greatest thing ever with friends around seeing who could survive the longest
I used to play the survival mode to see how high I could fly. Those cops were basically catapults.
1:02 the best intro ever
Good pp bro
@@Sxleilz thanks
Driver is the Dark Souls of racing games
Driver 2 missions is hella brutal, but still worth trying.
Yes my childhood! Don't know if you've played Driver 1 but hopefully you will ^^
Man, Driver 2 is a piece of cake compared to Driver 1
@@JackZephyrRourke The only game I never complete
You had to put actual effort in most the games these days...
He wouldnt make it past the First Mission... Litherally
I remember 4 yr old me being stuck on the 1st mission and not knowing what a slalom was. Had to ask my dad for help and he didn't know either so he just kept playing around with it until he got it lol
The cops in survival mod are insane in driver 2. They pretty much send you into orbit within the the first 20 seconds.
6:00 When you love physics more than your life xD
Driver and Driver 2 were actually the first games I completed as a kid. Having flashbacks of how many times I tried to pull a controller apart brings back good memories LOL
Driver 1 and 2 are godlike racing games. There are so many things to do and the pursuit was awesome. Also, many hidden cars to find, incluiding the Mr. Bean's mini cooper lol
1:06 I had my volume at 100%, and when i heard the gunshot i seriously fell out off my chair, i got knocked out very damn hard
Bad KuruHS be like:
There's a video czcams.com/video/tgW7glOUgN4/video.html
1:33 "not on the first try" oh the foreshadowing
Love driver 2 so much and love it in combination with u ^^ Thanks for playing it.
Thanks for playing this masterpiece. My favorite game from ps1
One of my favourite games ever- such a solid physics engine, especially for how old the game is. Underrated. Pretty nice story. So much better than GTA for people who like pure driving. Loved having secret cars that could be unlocked and finding out how to do so was so much fun and made me so curious to explore. Loved it.
Loved Driver back in the day and seeing the fanmod for Driver 2 is awesome
i remember the driver 2 meme. In Havana you can grab a cooper irc, you can literally enter the car through the back XD
this and driver 1 were the first open world racing games. i was just having fun exploring the world and tried to unlock new cities and cars.
back in the day there were a lot of games that were hard to beat. that was the challenge.
0:01 Perfect edit/timing
Im growing up on Driver 2, ohhh memories coming back
I went back and played all the driver games multiple times over the years, there great, But you too much dedication to actually complete them. all the times I went back I prob only have ever beat them all maybe 1nce each
Since you're playing Driver. Is there any chance you can play other PS1 car games like Twisted Metal?
3:29 that man was just jogging and a weird car hit him
You should play Stuntman on PS2 if you haven't already, can be a fairly difficult game but definitely fun.
It's made by the same developers as driver too
Driver is such a childhood game ever
I really missed this game đąđąđąđąđą
Its the colorful letter fridge magnet font for the timer that get me.
Yeah driver baby i have always loved this series man a driver 1 remake would be sick or just a remaster cause those OG physics are great
You should also tryout Driver 1, DRIV3R and Driver: Parallel Lines. Honestly great games.
Man I remember playing that game when I was little. Yes the missions are hard, especially the Las Vegas missions uugh. I almost rage like hell (the airport mission)
I loved this game back in the day on PS1. Good job bringing it here :)
Edit: Car wasn't bouncing this much on PS1 back then. It may be something with the "PC" version IMO.
These are the cops everybody wants in NfS games, these days.
Oh you want harder cops? Driver2 got you covered :D
Played this few weeks ago again. Loved this game so much as a child. I had to give up on the 2nd last mission. Too hardđ
About time you're trying the real Driver-games. :)
Iâd love to see your take on Driver Parallel Lines. Itâs the only Driver game Iâve played but I really enjoyed itđ
Played and beat this on PlayStation as a kid. I donât know version youâre playing, but I donât remember it ever being this difficult. I have a lot of great memories with both Driver 1 and 2.
my 10 year old mind was blown when i first seen this level of damage and those *Wheel hubs flying*
Driver 1 and Driver 2 survival mode were me and my dads favourite game to play for like a year, it was a great game.
Amazing kuruhs
I'm glad that Driver franchise went out with a bang.
I love how driver san fran just came outta nowhere, was one of the best driving games and then the franchise just ended...
@@TigerChamp99 can't disagree. Honestly it deserved better.
@@dariusorigami6198 Same
Love how the cars to be chased were made of concrete in the classic episodes xD
Bro this is a masterpiece, just enjoy the game
This game was so much fun back in the days
nostalgiaâ€ïžđ„ș
This game was my childhood. Lots of rage quits trying to beat it. Finally beat it when i was 10. I think i struggled the most on the Beat the Train mission đ
The nostalgia hits hard
The Driver Series is my Childhood Game Series and I Love the Games!!!
#keepdriveralive
Me : "Well, I completed Driver SF in my PS3, I wonder how the other Driver games will be"
Also me seeing Kuru suffer by Driver 2 difficulty : "Ookay I'll think about that again"
I'll recommend either Parallel Lines or the first one (which is a little less difficult than this one).
Dis fighting game's ahead of its time ngl
The editor is definitely having fun with the InstantGaming ad placements
This game was an integral part of my childhood
We need a remake of this
This is the remake. Re Driver 2?
Grew up playing this hard game and got stuck in Havana and never finished the whole game, would be nice to have a ps2 and a copy of this game again since I don't have a pc either.. but very cool to see someone playing this game
I played all the old drivers as a kid. I thought I was really bad at the game because my dad said it was easy, he was lying kekw. But being shit at this made me want to get better at racing games. So I guess I can sort of thank this game for getting me into hard-core racing
8:24 that's is how magic works
the level chase in rio is still one of the hardest levels in video gaming history
Only chasing the helicopter one that was really hard.
Have you tried "The President's Run" in the first Driver game? Then you'll know what a hard level/mission is.
^Lol then you haven't seen President's run in Driver like they said. I think that level deserves to be called the hardest in gaming history
My favourite nostalgic car everâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
4:10 Mission sucsessfully failed.
I hope Driver San Francisco is part of this marathon. It's hard to get for PC, but worth it for the experience
Jesus Christ, how many times i have tried to beat this *"Chase the Gun Man"* mission. It was probably a thousand times, and i'm not kidding...
one of my favorite ps1 games!
I grew up with driver 1 and 2. Games nowadays are kindergarten stuff compared to back in the day
i got the original Driver on disk. Let's go!
That trasnsition to the promotion XDXD *gets shot and thinks kuru us gonna check on you" kuru: "guys..? kuru here.. CHECK OUT INSTANT GAMING"
If you finished this game during your childhood, chances are you are a god at driving games now.
Like Kuru said, this game isn't just hard, it's borderline unfair.
I bear the first part when I was 11. It was quite a big deal for me xD But I'm not god of racing games.
I call bs LOL. I completed this gameâs infuriating story mode in my childhood and it hasnât helped in either arcade nor racing sims lol
It's beyond unfair. If you drive perfectly, then you have a random chance at success. Good mission designs reward good skill with success, not with a small chance of success on top of skill.
Driver 3 was literally my childhood
Driver is my childhood
7 words to describe this video:
Kuru gets fakd by scripted infinite mass
the guy with the double barrel shot 3 times. he is more powerful than kuru himself
YESSSSSSSSSS!
every chase mission is just the presidentâs run
Jones mission - never forget
I remember Driver 1 too well. It took me months to get through the tutorial. The parking lot...
Chase the gunman almost made me throw the disks out of the window in 2001. Game clearly was not playtested, difficulty is insane
I remember the driver 1 tutorial, complete pain
1:09 when i death i hear this sound
Physics level : family
Welcome to my childhood nightmare. Just getting past the parking garage in the first game shaved years off my life.
they are finding more creative ways of advertising instant gaming
Always looking forward to how it'd be
My childhood.
Maybe Kuru found a hard game, but he definitly found nostalgia for some.
dayummmmmmm i used to play with with my father and brother, and we used to time it and see who would survive longer running away from police. unreal fun
11:03 nice timing
I remember playing this game on ps2 :)
Man why did you change the music. Chicago, and Havanaâs soundtrack is straight fire especially Chicago at night.
Kuru breaks every game. No exceptions.
Welcome to my childhood
driv3r when
i would love to see you do the train mission.
I loved driver 2, played it all day when i was kid, gta before gta.
Great game from old times ! Nice to see how that game is completed ! When I was kid, then at that time can't beat fully Driver 2 ,till that hard mission where need to catch in canyon... After years I completed game, but that last hard missions needed two evenings after work to beat that missions... Also, there was hard coded cars what needed to catch and when You hit them,You bounce away. On original PS1 sometimes was glitch when cd loading mission and then lags like on second, and that car goes in same line and when there was coming traffic where needed do slalom after that lag glitch that traffic comes asymmetric and all that traffic cars goes to fly because that hard coded car what needed to catch was like driving house... But still so much fun ! Try out Driver 1 , there was good vibe and also challenging ,but not that hard like Driver 2. And also can watch ps1 game - Vanishing Point , there was stunt driver challenge series what was real challenging
I'll say Driver 2 is not that hard. It is just sometimes you have to get out from the car to complete a mission.
Driver 1 and 2 has the same difficulty for story missions (and very hard final stage). It is just Driver 1 can be challenging (bomb truck is SF one is one).
3:37 Infogrames was made NFS V Rally
If I remember correctly, you can change the difficulty level in options at the main menu.
I remember playing this
Driver 2 was real hard and frustrating, took me ages to complete as a kid.
Dude, driver 2 was my childhood. Always loved the crackhead cops and their over the top decision that they make.
This game is good !
You should consider playing Total Immersion Racing. It is an old circuit racing game that came out of cereal boxes back in the day.
there is a funny glitcvh on V1.0 of this game where you can make streets non solid objects so the cars just fall through the map
This is the first game i played on PS1.. damn
