Take delayed instructions rather than normal, it will take 2 races to sync but then your eye with ear coordination will sit nicely.
Maybe some ps2 rally games like wrc 2 extreme and wrc 5 rally evolved?

@@jxtaposed IMO dirt rally actually does a pretty good job with the controller driving, when i tried asseto corsa and project cars 2 with one it was much harder even though in theory it should be easier

Which is a problem really. All types of racing games should be designed for both amateurs & professional. Not all of us cut the apex perfectly.

there's a mouse steering program you can use to help times a little more
@@harveyknguyen still, U need to control brakes and acceleration with keys, which is impossible with keyboard. U just press W, and ur pedal goes to 100% at once, and if u're having rear wheel drive, u're screwed and U can just spin 180 degrees or more, because of different wheels' speed, when U accelerate or brake "recklessly" (U have no choice using a keyboard)

main issue is wheelspin and your brakes locking since you can't drive it like a car

Nice to see ya playing DR 2.0! Probably the last good Codemasters game. This one on a controller is really, really hard so I'm not surprised it looks like this :D I don't know how people can make world record runs on controller or even on keyboard - and some people really do that. That must be some sick driving!

Also the handling (while easy to learn but hard to master) feels agile on keyboard but in DiRT Rally duology, it feels like I'm driving a brick on wheels due to the steering input. Plus, if you want something even more unforgiving than RBR then try BeamNG where it hardly leaves room for error and it's moddable like the former.
@@CodyDBuni Already tried it but still thank you. BeamNG is the only game other than Flatout that can make you enjoy crashing and failing in it. The damage model is just so good! And the mod/fan base is amazing same as in RBR where after a break from it I thought it just died out but no, theres even more stuff!
Both are amazing games, same as Dirt Rally 2. They are just unique in their own ways. And now that I remember, the time I spend in the livery editor of Dirt 4, so much time wasted. XD
The problem with RBR is that it is "modern" and "realistic" because of the sheer amount of mods. Thus, RBR as base game is very outdated at this point. DR2 was designed that way from the getgo.

There is tho: you have both scenarios and BeamMP multiplayer races.
The Time Trial mode is a thing in BeamNG. And besides, believe it or not, I actually use BeamNG to train myself for DR.

I played rally 1 and 2 on controller, witch is already a challenge itself for this game, but i gotta say, playing manual really makes this waaaay easier, engine break is fundamental to go fast here

Also, fun fact: In DiRT 2 when you go faster, co-pilot's voice gets more shaky like he's scared!

A little advice for Dirt Rally: Turn off the HUD. Makes you better by a lot, because u concentrate more on your driving

played this on cheap usb controller for a while, and did quite well. Trick is to lift the front up, and play around with damper settings to make your car understeer as much as possible, also lock differentials+preload as much as possible too. Then you can be really aggressive with joystick inputs and not suffer! Also do try out ACAT mod, it lets you select any car for any event, lots of fun if you want to rally cross or do hillclimbs in some fun classic cars
This is an awesome game , playing with a wheel is so much fun! With controller should be very hard i think.

This is quite a difficult racing game, but the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series is harder in terms of grinding AND AI difficulty
As someone who had that game for the dreamcast can confirm. It's super hard if you're not used to it

Hi! It's for sure a very refreshing, realistic and also a hard game especially when you play it on other devices than steering wheel. On controller you can just go with bonnet cam and add a bit sensitivity to the steering so that it will be easier to make the turn and counter but also use the manual gearbox and handbrake with enough experience :) But normally it's very fun to enjoy it from 3rd person, default settings and just getting used to it having a challenge and finish the game, try the Colin McRae Scenarios for example as well. Btw. This guy CM was and remains for many amazing.

I used to play DiRT Rally 2.0 on my bro's PS4. The thing that sucks the most is that the most cars have to be purchased as DLCs. The Peugeot 206, which is my fav car btw, was a DLC (for like 1.50€) and it kinda saddened me

This is my favorite game at my racing rig. This game plays so well with a rig. There is no real competitor for a rally sim. The only thing I'd like improved, really, is the tarmac handling (it feels more like grippy dirt than tarmac).

Dirt Rally 2.0 is SimCade. The real rally simulator is RBR. I had already won rallies/league titles in DR2.0 when I made the switch to RBR. Trust me, DR2.0 is a piece of cake compared to RBR, it is not, by any means the hardest racing game

It is definitely a hard game, but not in terms of this game
To make this game easier you need to understand rally racing callouts example
Straight 200 , left ,2 , right 2, straight 100
Meaning straight line 200 mph , left turning coming up down shift to second gear , right second gear then go straight at 100 mph.
Master these calls rally racing video games are easy.
Its not that simple tho, depending on the car you're driving you can sometimes easily blast through a 2 with 4th gear, like with R2 for example. And dont forget there is short left 2, long left 2, extra (extra) long, fast 2 etc
kuru, if you want an even bigger challenge, use the group b (4WD) Audi quattro rallye

I'm actually way better with RWD and AWD, constantly fighting understeer on FWD annoys me immeasurably, I like going sideways. (I can do decent with FWD, but it's not my style)
