Just swap it to a vr6 cheaper and easy to work on . The great cars but the $$$ just for 500whp
@@reallife4598 I love vr6 too, but unfortunately there is not too much room under bonnet of B5.. Don't like the idea of cutting front radiator support.
@@BalticMotorSport Yeah. Vr6 is costly too. 500hp is cheaper in a 2.7t over VR6. Vr6 your looking over 10-15k done right. I see no reason to swap unless you are going all in. If your going to half ass it. Might aswell sell the car now and get a Jetta.

what power is it running
Hey i have the same car. How is it holding up so far with these modifications. Seems similar to what i have in mind.
Overall holds up nice, but injectors and pump is maxed out at that boost with ethanol. Next year will install bigger injectors and add 2 more same pumps etc.. Turbo holds up without problem - minimal shaft play, which doesn't progress and no oil in intercooler. Unfortunately valve stem seals (goetze) gave up (smokes on idle), will replace them next weekend.

Any particular reason for using the ADR block?
Nope. All same, except no turbo oil/coolant feed lines. Oil feed and return can be added easily. ADR block is cheaper too.
Why did you pick Avant over sedan? No hate, just curious because I'm looking for a sedan.
I had no options to choose at that moment. B5's 1.8TQ are rare nowadays in my country and most of them are beat up. This one had some work done when I bought it. Also to me avant looks nicer.. I don't like tail lights on sedan. But that's just my opinion. But sedan weights less..
Is the na cam plug n play or do i need adjustable cam gears or something?
There are different versions of NA cams with different duration and lift. I use "J" letter cams, which are best you can find from NA. I have lined up at factory marks currently and everything is working fine. Not sure about if valve will hit OEM piston with these cams, because I have JE pistons with valve pockets.
So one year later i finally got the camshaft so we will see if it fits stock pistons :)
What intakevalves are you using?

I bet a second gear pull would push some g’s
From second gear my best was 7,2sec 100-200. My shifting is not so good yet + shifter gears are in reverse order because of gearbox from S4 C4 (1th gear is in 2nd and 2nd in 1th, same with 3 & 4 and others). Took some time to get used to it. And shifter itself is not the smoothest.. My 1/4 mile time is 11,88@203km/h at the moment with 2,0sec 60ft... With second try I broke front drive shaft.
