what a great POV. Looks like you love this car. It is clean, it is built well and it motivates us to build ours!
Thanks! Not the cleanest, but will definitely work on exterior and interior! Gives best feelings, when in boost!
This might be the motivation I need to build my 1.8. Been kind of set on building an 07k, but throwing some power at the 1.8 sounds appealing.
Man maxspeed has paved the way that and a good standalone
Right on dude
did you notice any difference after installing the fluidampr? I'm big turbo with built head as well and getting some vibrations over 6K RPM.
nice
Small motor big turbo take a lot of time to spool up,but if once do it is flying.
What all do you have done? I'm shooting for the 600hp range this summer. I've got rods, pistons, 1050cc injectors, aem350 pump, going from a GT35 to a Borg Warner S366 .88ar
Spec list is in description.
Wow, nice. I got a 1.8t 110kw AEB bone stock, but im willing to do something.
have red about the chiptuning on stock, some people say that it easy can do 280
but i dont think its possible without any damage to engine, maby you got some suggestion what can i start with?
if it's stock you won't get more than 190/200 from a tune, the ko3 turbo sucks. the engine is good for 300 if you keep torque below 300 ft/lbs otherwise you'll need rods, I'd personally put rods in for anything over 270hp
@@slonky821 As i thought about 200.
So first thing is turbo, right? Many People use k04 so i guess maby i need to get that.
@@GSX356 k04 is still shit turbo too. Bigger and lazier turbo is safer for stock rods. With same turbo like mine friend did 2.2bar on stock 1.8T.
Here is video just before stock rod popped out from block - czcams.com/video/JjlWR9NgpD4/video.html
wouldnt it be more efficient power wise to use catcams 3658 at that high rpms? 8800 thats crazy.
Im looking to have my b6 a4 with the awp 1.8t engine(pulled from a bug) machined and built to handle upwards of 700 hp. Can the 6 speed manual transmission handle that with a stage 3 clutch or is there an aftermarket tranny I need to install? Also any recommended suspension upgrade kits you could link to me?
6 speed is 01E, so no worries.
Are you the that made a video of boosting so high, the crankshaft broke?
No, crank gear snapped, but fortunately fixed by dowel pinning it.
What ecu do you have?
Also do you have drive by wire or cable
Vems. Cable.
what gearbox do you use?
01E 5spd
What turbo is on there sounds dope
Turbobandit TB60-03 Billet. Unfortunately it's discontinued.
@@A4B5Turbo gonna try and fit a gt45
How does the head hold up? I've been told the n/a cylinderheads couldnt take much temperature? Do you know if yours is alsi10mg material? Greetings from germany :)
They are same, except cams. Same material. Still holding without problems.
Any reason why you are running a ADR head? Thought they would choke up a bit at this rpm/power level compared to a bigport head
It's big port head. Older ADR has big port.
@@A4B5Turbo Whaaaaat? There are 2 types of adr? The one i pulled apart had small intake runners
@@dialgia111 Yes, there are 2 types. One, that has electrical cam chain tensioner, is small port.
Isee! You learn every day 😁 Have you ran this setup on pump gas?
@@dialgia111 Only on 1bar boost and smaller injectors. I have Cr 9.25:1 and with ethanol is much safer. Also 2200cc injectors doesn't accept pump gas.
Why are the gears backwards? 1st is where 2nd gear would be and 2nd is where 1st would be... 3rd is where 4th would be... this is so odd
yh looks like the gearbox is upside down
It's because of linkage from C4 gearbox. Now it's fixed by installing from B5 2,5tdi linkage.
hi i know this is an old video but isnt ADR head NA and 125 hp
Hi, yes it's NA head. Block is also ADR.
@@A4B5Turbo so you turboed the na BLOCK does it share similarities with
AEB ?
@@haise8004 Yes, only difference from factory is in pistons, camshafts. Other that than is same, like AEB. Has bigport etc.. And for ADR you need to weld oildrain inlet to block for turbocharger.
@@A4B5Turbo is it hard to convert it to turbo?
wasn das fürn kombi
I have a b5 a4 1.8t
Just bought a neglected A4 Allroad with the AEB engine on and I also got a B5 Sedan with the ABR engine on to swap stuff. Do you think I should swap the AEB head for the ADR one? I'm not chasing huge numbers for the moment, I'd be happy with a 280-300hp daily driver.
AEB & early ADR heads are same, except camshafts. Late ADR is small port and has electric camshaft tensioner.
@@A4B5Turbo it's the old one, so it's big port heaven. Thanks for the fast reply and for motivating me to rebuild my grumpy old Avant :D
🤮🤮🤮
Yep, found my favourite B5 channel 😅 Keep up posting man! 🤙 Insta?
