Picking up where my Why I Left Jehovah's Witnesses videos left off, this time I give a deeper account of what it's like to suffer from CPTSD. You can find my first two videos below. I filmed these segments during a spell of intense depression, so this one is a bit more raw and choppy (mostly edited for pauses). Ironically, I think it helps convey how chaotic the symptoms can make you feel.

If you are struggling with CPTSD, I highly suggest checking out Dr. Anna Runkle on her CZcams channel, Crappy Childhood Fairy. Her insight and knowledge on the condition is vast, as she herself suffers from CPTSD.

Hey Peter. I'm also suffering from CPTSD after leaving that cult. Lots of hugs!
It's way more common than people see yet. Sorry for what you have also been through. Hugs right back and I hope things start improving for you!✨
Thanks. Very helping for knowing CPTSD which is like an uncomfortable dream. Subscribed for more videos like this.
That's actually a very good way to summarize the overall feeling! It's surreal. And thank you JM for stopping by. Please feel free to reach out to me on Instagram at Sillypete87 (I usually check messages there as often as possible), I would be glad to help in any way I can!✨
What you're going through reminds me so much of what my mother-in-law went through. Dealing with C-PTSD and clinical depression as an ex-JW was very difficult at the beginning, though getting early support from my non-religious parents did help her, especially after being unfairly disfellowshipped for stupid and unfair reasons.
I hope you can start healing from the trauma soon. My heart breaks hearing your story. No one deserves to suffer from religious trauma. Ever. You deserve SO much better than this. 💙🫂
Thanks so much for sharing your story. I'm so sorry for your experiences. This validates some of the experiences I've had as a result of being raised in that cult. I wish you the best in your journey! 💞💞💞
Thank you for being here! My hope was to help others feel validated in their experiences, so I'm glad this reached you. This was not your fault. Wishing you healing also!🙌✨
@@anotherhealingjourneybegins Thanks!!
So PROUD of you for seeking healthy ways to discharge🌟You will crawl back up‼️ GUARANTEE‼️
(it's not something you get over, but it's something you'll get through)🤗
Cindy, I appreciate that so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Hope all is well with you right now!🙌✨
You r most welcome🤗
The sandstorm made me so anxious! I was terrified and trying not to let the children i was working with know.
You remember that too?? That was years back but wow, what a terrible panic that was. Smh, we deserved better.
Jesus christ sent churches including exjws apostate to preach about the Jehovah's witnesses?????????

I live with it too after being raised a Seventh Day Adventist.
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this also. Hang in there, I see your pain and I wish you all the healing this world has to offer✨
I’m happy for you that you are in a relationship. I am totally unable to have intimacy. Everybody is like strangers, and I am looking from distance to the world. I guess my only friend is my dog.
I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling isolated. It's a natural thing for people like us to feel detached from those around us. Definitely check out Crappy Childhood Fairy here on CZcams if you can. She does so many helpful vids on how to both understand and cope with CPTSD. Hoping today has been a better day for you!✨
Gabor’ Matte is an expert on childhood trauma has helped me so much not everyone can afford the help we need so heal my self listening to different experts some dodgy people out there too. I’m living my best life now 10 years after waking up. We get through not over 💗💫✌🏼
Thank you for your suggestion✨ And for sharing your experience as well. I hope you are doing better and I'm rooting for you too! Thank you🙌✨
I am sorry that you are having to go through all of this. I hope that you will get a healing. Do you think Watchtower will pay for the trauma that they caused?
Thank you, Cassandra, I appreciate you. I'd like to say one day yes. It's slowly starting to come apart for them and honestly, it can't happen fast enough. Praying something is done so that future children aren't made to feel the way I did. They deserve to be happy. Thanks again and I wish you well✨
@@anotherhealingjourneybegins yes, I agree with you. They sure caused me some serious pain and issues...just keep taking care of yourself and sharing your story💞
@@cassandrathetruth9095 thank you for your support, Cassandra✨ I'm sorry for what they've done to you. Thankfully, the world has slowly begun to see what we experienced.
some of this is very familiar. my trauma from being raised a witness is different, but that sense of loosing myself, and being thrown back to childhood by something. it took me a long time to work out that the reason why male members of staff made me anxious and feel stupid. it was when i was working in a less formal setting that i realised that have triggers related to men in suit and tie.
you are doing brilliantly! keep going.
@@youareherediversity7321 I'm sorry for the pain you've experienced. I do agree with you about the not trusting men in a suit and tie. Generally nervous around authority (managers, police, pastors, etc). And I especially feel for you because of how misogynistic an environment you and other women had to endure. And usually from childhood on. You are brave and powerful!✨
Thunderstorms used to scare the crap outta me😂
Is this it... Age 10... Worrying needlessly.
Similar story.
Hypnotherapy helps cult trauma but you will start to change so much that you actually have to isolate yaself for ages to cope with the change in life and it takes time.... I'm 45 and the last few years have bn transformation with hypnosis trauma therapy.
If you do this the trauma goes just goes.
