Actually they did that on purpose. I was told they said they didn't want to "use" the ladies in the video. The wives, girlfriends, friends and family members as objects, so they decided to do the rear-veal of their own backsides.

That's Chris Rupp, the beatboxer Adam Rupp's older brother and they together formed Home Free when they were in college together. Chris Rupp since leaving Home Free in 2016 has done many things, including forming a group including their sister Tristen Rupp (also a singer) called 7th Ave, and now also sings in a trio called Cypress Fyre, and has done a bunch of originals, covers, and collabs. (Including a couple of covers with Tim Foust) in his own solo career. A very talented man.

The boys are nuts aren’t they? Love them. That guy in the cowboy hat is Chris Rupp, Adam’s brother and founder of Home Free. He’s a tremendous singer and left Home Free in 2016 to go solo. He has his own channel. Adam Chance joined Home Free in place of Chris. Loved the mashup. They have a few of them. Funny ones - Country Fried Pop Medley, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Workin for a Livin. They’re so good. Loved your reaction Chris.

You want to see how high Tim can go (the basso profundo singer who started the song) react to their cover of Mayday by CAM. That song was made shortly after Chance joined. Prior to him joining the group was 3 tenors, a beatboxer (also a tenor if it matters) and a bass. He couldn't show his 5 octaves chops very often because there was no one but himself to hold the bass line. Chance, who can sing almost as low as Tim joining freed him up considerably. Their cover of Mayday was basically to show off what he could do when someone else had the bass line.

Great reaction. This was so much fun. Not all the sounds were made by Adam Rupp. When Austin Brown was running his finger across his teeth, he was making that high kind of humming sound. Tim was filling in for the drums while Adam was doing the DJ thing making record sounds, so Tim was beatboxing next to Rob, and spitting on him, which is why Rob has his hands up. Chris Rupp has a great video about the making of the Butts Remix video that explains a lot of this.

As I understand it, Adam Rupp has won international beat boxing championships.
While HF styles itself as a C/W a capella group, they won me over during their competition on the NBC series "The Sing Off" backing judge Jewel who was singing a very modern-jazz inspired redition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with complex chords and syncopation, proving that they could do much more than twang about losing their girlfriend and a dead cow. Thier humor came out in the first video I saw of them, doing a cover of "All About That Bass". They have continued to wow me ever since.

Great, fun reaction, they had so much fun with this one. When you listen again, check out Rob's whistling at the beginning. A virtuoso whistler. Be sure to check out their older videos as well, (their cover of It's All About the Bass, pure fun [watch Meagan Trainor's video first so you can catch all of the references in Home Free's]), there are some real gems from the very beginning of their CZcams catalog, including the Songs they sung on the Sing-Off. Their original version of Ring of Fire they sung on the show is amazing, as well as their own later released version with Avi Kaplan from PTX (Pentatonix) and make sure you stay for the judges comments. Between Home Free, Voctave, Voice Play, Pentatonix, and all of their solo and outside projects, there has to be days worth of listening pleasure.

An interesting fact: From what I understand, the women shown in this video are family and friends of the group, and out of complete respect, did not want to ask them to shake their assets in their video. Thus, they made themselves the focus of the video had a lot of fun doing so. They are, amongst other things, southern gentleman who love and respect the women in their lives. They don’t take themselves so seriously as to go against the things they believe in. I found that vey interesting! Great reaction! I can’t wait to see more!

You are just starting with the acappella community. I recommend that you react to Homefree's Ring of Fire ft Avi Kaplan. That way you won't get confused when you go into Pentatonix history and find Avi there for everything. Avi is a natural bass just like Tim but about 10 years younger.
Meanwhile Avi is now a singer-songwriter under his own name's CZcams channel, Avi Kaplan and he is premiering a new song today.

He left the group a few years ago and was replaced by Adam Chance. He has a YT channel called Chris Rupp Official where he does solos and occasional duets (Tim Foust has dropped by a couple of times), and another called 7th Ave Band where he performs with his sister Tristin and various guest artists.

Angelina is 15 now and signed last year with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist but her family requested she be allowed as normal a childhood as possible.
