Home Free is famous for their ability to just HAVE FUN, not taking themselves too seriously, and yet turning out seriously amazingly good music. Their "Country Fried Pop Medley," "Champagne Taste (On A Beer Budget)," "Hillbilly Bone," and many other songs show this lighter side, more or less in contrast to their hard-hitting songs like "One Voice" and "Everybody Walkin' This Land." They can choose the tone they want to strike, and then they can hit that tone, dead center, and leave us gasping for breath with the giggles, or gasping with tears in our eyes. This is the mark of masters of their art, and these gentlemen are that, and then some.

The best thing about Home Free is their ability to not take themselves too seriously. Like, they are guys who do this sort of stuff and seem very down to earth even with their success and they give their audience, live or otherwise, a good time and plenty of laughs. I've only recently discovered them myself through an Instagram post of them performing Travelling Soldier and I fell in love with them for that. But now I'm like absolutely obsessed with their music. It's all I listen to now and their videos bring me joy on rainy days. They are AMAZINGLY talented - especially Adam with the crazy vocalisations he can do (that no-monica thing he can do is absolutely insane and never knew a human could make the noises he can). But this entire group is just so darn talented and it blows my mind each time I hear something I havent heard from them.

I knew once I saw you'd reacted to this one that they were gonna break your brain from just the "What am I watching?" point of view! These guys just are able to make you feel something every single video. Part of their allure is that they have something for everyone. And they aren't so full of themselves that they've forgotten how to poke fun at themselves. They just seem so approachable, and from what I've heard from people that have seen them live, they are very interactive with their fans! For a few more serious message songs check out Everybody Walkin this Land, Land of the Free(an original co-written by Tim) What We Need is Love(also written by Tim) One Voice, and People. Was 15.) eventually they played a clean version at school dances …my school was pretty chill (i mean, they played In Da Club by 50 and it wasn’t as censored as some of the newest clean versions are hahaha.) I mean, thong…it’s a clothing item. XD funnily enough, the Sir Mixalot song “Rappers Delight” also got played a lot at dances…i think I am remembering things through rose tinted glasses, I’m pretty sure I didn’t think they were that awesome.

Gonna drop this here. Chris rupp told us in a video on his channel that Layne helped with the arrangement and the “thong” bit is from that 😂😉

I love watching reactors to Home Free. Chris Rupp, one of the original founders of Home Free, does reactions to Home Free songs too. I love his reactions because he gives you behind the scenes information. Check out the info on the overall guy, the reason the girls “ignored” the guys, and why they had the girls not dress trashy.

Did you notice Tim eating a sandwich? LOL. Their voices are ridiculously amazing but I have to say one of my absolute favorite things is that they're funny and fun 🤪I'm disabled ( I'm just in it for the parking) 😆so I have a lot of time on my hands to watch a lot of the concert videos and I just love how they interact with each other 🥰 they make you feel like you could totally hang out with them. 🥰

Loved your reaction. I can’t believe after all the times I’ve seen this video this is the first time I’ve noticed Tim head banging at the start of Fat Bottomed Girls. Hilarious video and hilarious reaction. Thanks

They also came out with a Sea Shanty Medley. It’s in my opinion that Chance (not in this video) was orchestrating behind the scenes, under handedly, overtly, and manipulating Tik Tok users in order to facilitate Home Free doing a Sea Shanty of their own. There’s a story behind it, but I’m on to Chance. I know what’s going on…😏

This was Chris Rupp's pet project and there's an interview with him about it on the 'net. His sister worked with a modeling agency and that's where the women were from. Since they didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are theirs. Austin choreographed the line dance and the man in the cut-off coveralls is a friend of Rob Lundquist (he's in other videos as well) and in a live performance (on yt) of the song, he comes on at the end to thunderous applause.

P.S. - insofar as imitating instruments, I came across an old video of theirs "Joy to the World Live". It's the most unique version of the song I've ever heard and Rob's delivery of it is amazing. Kind of a fusion of gospel and jazz.

Ah the insanity of the BUtts Remix.. I enjoyed watching you react to this one! For something really interesting and different, see if you can find the "battle" with Home Free and the Filharmonic another acapella group when they were on The Sing Off.. they did their version of "Im Alright:" from Caddyshack. Pretty good stuff there. Thanks!
