I will never truly understand why some people hate the Minions. They’re too freaking cute, especially KING BOB!!!
I don't hate them, I hate that their potential is wasted for minimal roles and obnoxious comic relief. They need better scenes and character aside from their own movies

Stuart with the guitar at the end is my favourite scene 😂 Plays two notes and then slays it with metal getting an adrenaline rush to the point he breaks the guitar while playing and then takes back the gift he kicked away just moments ago 😅

The Minions use 3 different languages, English, French and Spanish I believe. They then mix them up and have minionese. Love them!
I think they also mix in Portuguese, but I might be wrong
@religion7345 it may be that instead of Spanish, or there may be a 4th, I just know it's 3 at least for sure. 😁
There's a little bit of various languages. I have even detected some Japanese a time or 2.
There is even little words of Hindi too.

I love how in the honest trailer for this movie it’s pointed out that if they hadn’t conveniently gone into the cave when they did, they DEFINITELY would have ended up serving Hitler, since they were looking for the Most Evil Boss they could find.
But considering their history with other bosses they would have actually ended up killing him, in all likelihood.

In my opinion, the minions' backstory as a species from the dawn of time is just lazy writing. It would have been funnier if they were one of Gru's failed cloning experiments. And he just figured that he needed the extra assistance, they were oddly loyal and strangely durable. 😅

Why is it the Minions from Despicable Me are so popular/iconic yet the Pizza Planet Aliens from Toy Story aren't? I've never been a fan of the Minions, but even the 1st time I saw Despicable Me I enjoyed everything except the Minions. Part of the reason why they are annoying is the fact that they only spoke in gibberish & the occasional word, but I realized after a while that they are blatant ripoffs of the Aliens from Toy Story. Think about it: The Aliens are 3 eyed green aliens with oval heads in blue jumpsuits that often speak in unison & only say a few things. The Minions are 1 eyed yellow round creatures in blue overalls that often speak in unison & say even fewer things. The most annoying thing about the Minions to me is that (much like a lot of side comic relief characters in animated kids films) they are far too overused & take away from the seriousness of scenes while the Aliens are sparingly used to make a quick joke & lighten the mood (or in the 3rd film save the day) then move on. While there are some who argue that the Minions are far more useful as sidekicks/helpers to the main cast than the Aliens, the Minions (as shown from their spin off film) cause a lot of problems for the people they work for, meanwhile the Aliens (as we saw from the Buzz Lightyear animated tv show) are actually scientists & engineers that are key to Star Command rather then a hindrance to Buzz & the other Space Rangers. Sorry I went on a rant in this comment, but I really can't stand the Minions, so it bothers me how "iconic" they became in popular culture when they are so annoying as side characters especially when compared to the Aliens.
