Their drummer, Carter Beauford, is literally a living legend and one of the greatest drummers of all time.

All while chewing gum and blowing bubbles. I’ve seen them over 30 times. He’s phenomenal live. You can CZcams carter beauford drum solo and check him out. Not to mention he plays “open handed” which is a much more difficult style of playing. Merica

DMB is a top band for me. Perhaps my favorite.
Carter has been an inspiration for my drumming. I grew up listening to DMB. I watched tons of videos with my dad. When I got my first drum set at 12, I played it like Carter although I was typically a righty.
Anyhow, I absolutely recommend their live recordings. The studio recordings do not come close to the variety and little bits added into their songs when they're played live. Couple that with the crowd and the rawness of the instruments and Dave's voice. It's absolutely wonderful.

I have tears streaming down my face right now seeing that background there of the cd cover as the music starts. Takes me straight back to one of the best times of my life in my mid 20s...man I wore that song out.

DMB is a great band. They usually do a 3 day concert a few hours from me during the summer

I have been seeing DMB since 1992. The band has certainly changed over the years but glad to see they still enjoy touring after all these years.
Dave and Carter (DMB's most awesome drummer) got together during the pandemic, just the 2 of them, and produced an hour of them playing together at a distance.
It's on youtube and it's called the Warehouse Sessions. If you like this band even a little, I recomend giving it a listen.
His live performance of "Bartender" with Tim Reynolds is one of the most AMAZING vocal performances ever!!! WATCH IT!!!!
There's drums bro, he's using brushes instead of sticks mainly on the snare to keep the tempo.
The subtle drums on this hide a monster talent of drummer. Carter can tear up a drum session.
All Along The Watchtower from Central Park.. it’s a bit long but WORTH IT! 120k people.. being there was indescribable..
