    This video tests just how quiet the Stealth Kit is when fitted to Propex Heatsource HS2000.
    Many people are concerned about the noise from these units, making their van more conspicuous, but personally I just wanted to ensure I wasn't going to get woken by the noise of the heater at night.

    The outside mufflers can be bought on ebay for about £10 each but the internal acoustic ducting is £25 and silicone connectors are £8 each and appear to only be available via Propex. As such the value of the kit is about right (£55 inc post) once you factor in the quality, number of parts, mounting brackets, additional lengths of hose and jubilee clips supplied. Overall I'm happy with the price considering the benefits.

    Thank you so very much for this detailed and scientifically thought out decibel test! Probably the best YT video re this topic. You have convinced me that the Propex heater is quiet and worthy of investment.

    I'm really pleased with my propex & gaslow set up. Very warm & cheap.. the savings have added up this winter. (Full time van living). I might get this little bit of kit for extra stealth. Thank you for your detailed video Bud

    I know this video is pretty old but I noticed that you have the weeping hole for the exhaust muffler oriented horizontally, It should be pointing toward the ground so the muffler can drain the water that builds up inside

      Good to know thanks. It wasn't noted as a weep hole, but I'll take a look 👍

    Thanks for the info. Wondering what's your experience with the exhaust. Can people see smoke or steam in freezing temperatures. I stealth van life in Alaska. I want to switch out my Wave6 heater for the propex. Just have to be steath. Thanks great video bro.

    Mines works didn't work. Code 3 reset reset every day. Then code 4 never worked for days phoned from Portugal. Could not get fixed then filled my UK gas bottle up with UK regulator and it works non stop. I was using a Portuguese bottle and regulator with working not working then not working at all. Is this because of the portugese regulator.

    Hi. What propane regulator are you using? I suspect its rated 37mbar?

    • @OlyLowe
      @OlyLowe  Před 3 lety

      Just a standard regulator on a Gaslow refillable gas bottle.

      Ours has never missed a beat. Still one of the biggest selling units in self builds and commercially built motor homes. Maybe it was the installer or a bad one.
