00:18 How Coffee Stains Work
Most coffee beans are naturally green, and their iconic dark brown color. Comes from the caramelization of sugars as the coffee beans are roasted. These sugars are water-soluble.
01:37 Pretreating a Coffee Stain
Unfortunately, coffee stains tend to happen at the most inopportune times. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much time to respond quickly to a coffee stain and a little bit of pretreatment goes a long way to removing the stain completely.
03:30 Machine-Washable & SOME Spot Clean Fabrics
The following process will apply to most garments that can be machine-washed like cotton and synthetic fabric. A similar technique will also be employed with spot-clean and delicate fabrics but we’ll have specific suggestions for the latter. As always, if you’re worried about how a cleaning process might interact with your garment’s fabric, test it on a discreet area first.

Delicate fabrics, like silks, require specially formulated cleansers. So whether spot cleaning or washing, follow the same steps outlined above.

Because of their knit fibers, you’ll definitely want to avoid scrubbing knitwear if possible. So make a solution of cool water and a mild detergent. Dab it onto the stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then soak the entire garment in a solution of tepid water and Woolite or a comparable detergent before handwashing and air-drying.

Dried coffee stains can prove to be particularly stubborn. So consider soaking a set-in stain in cool water for several hours to reactivate it. Then running through whichever set of instructions we’ve already gone through best apply to your fabric and stain situation.

First here: we haven’t mentioned leather and suede products yet because they require their own special cleaners, whose directions should be followed for best results. Next: if the coffee beverage that’s stained your garment contained milk or other organic, fatty compounds, the tips we outlined today should still work well.
Finally, if none of our suggestions have worked for you, then it’s time to call in the cavalry and go to your local dry cleaner for professional help.

Mixing dishwashing liquid with water works for me even on wool. Depending on the colour of your shirts the best is buying it white or yellow
Trick: wet paper towel on ckean side and dry on dirty side, daub through and change the towels as needed. If a greasy stain, use a touch of soap on the first dabs. Results in nearly total cleaning of most stains andndries fast. You can use water from a toilet tank if the cleaning job requires a lot of discretion.

Normal washing a couple of times will gradually remove the stain gradually
Lucky for me, I'm not a huge coffee drinker. I mainly worry about stains from ketchup, mustard, grease, or sauce like gravies, pasta sauce, or chili.

Does a tea tree soap solution work?
Generally, I *much* prefer natural solutions, than any sort of artificial ones wherever possible.
If not tea tree, how about hot water and lemon and/or borax??
These aren't what I'm *saying* are solutions, but they are what I'm suggesting *_might_* be solutions - without using anything that might be disagreeable to people with sensitive skin or hypersensitive respiratory systems.
EDIT: solution of 30g of borax to 500 ml of lukewarm water, wearing disposable gloves, may work.
