As a user of the iPhone 15 Pro and the Samsung GalaxyS24 Ultra the hard and fast truth is they both excel in different areas but neither dominates the other overall. Say what you will but it's just facts based on actual use and other top reviewers share this prospective. Yes I know he used the Pixel 8 Pro and not the S24 Ultra but I find apple user's fan boy up and don't embrace anything good that is android. No worries I just enjoy and embrace the best of both world's, tech is love. âź
Same can be said about fandroids lol. You nailed it though, both are top tier and both will have users who want to do and expect something different. I donât know why everyone fights for one side or the other, buy what you want and recognize no option of the flagships is a bad option. Just different
Thatâs not true I like Android too
I keep coming to the same conclusion unfortunately. I say unfortunately because I love the diversity of Android and having so many choices in camera optics, for example, or the rest. But in the end, I always go back to the iPhone for two reasons: first, iOS, which I find incredible to use.
Also, because I am disabled, I need voice commands since it is much faster to speak than to write by hand, and much less tiring to talk to write rather than to write by hand. Unfortunately, I can never get voice commands to work on any Android phone except the Pixels.
However, I found unfortunately for the pro in my case that the photo and video quality was not at all at the level of the iPhone, so I preferred to keep my 15 Pro Max, not to mention iOS, which for me is unbeatable in terms of pleasantness and consistency.
I would love for the Pixel 9 Pro XL to surpass the iPhone in terms of camera; it would allow me to switch back to Android and have even better voice commands, but I find it hard to believe. Google certainly has the financial means to be on the same level as Apple, or even surpass them, but it seems that it's not in their objectives, or maybe it's too complicated for them, but I doubt it; they are surrounded by some of the best in the world on their teams.
I feel that the 16 Pro Max will probably be a better phone in every way compared to the Pixel 9, and I find that a shame.
It is a shame because monopoly is never good for consumers and the more diversity that matches the best standards, the better it is.
I understand that some people might see me as just a fanboy or a hater, but my goal is to help make the Pixel the best it can be. As reviewers, we critique products because we want the best all-around experience. If we don't point out areas for improvement, companies have no incentive to enhance their products.
@@MattRobb and I hope the pixel will take back its crown of best camera but it seems unlikely this year
Will see when the Pixel 9 will launch
I would say the pixel is the best camera for colors and sharpness without editing. The iPhones just easier to grade because itâs softer and less heavily processed so itâs great for editing in Lightroom which is a unique thing for creators. For the everyday person I would say the pixel camera looks nicer.
I'd say it's a wise choice Matt , specially as a professional photographer you can get the full use of iPhone cameras.
as always this is a really great vid Matt â€. enjoyed it much .
Nice content. I got the 15 Pro in blue titanium back in February. Itâs a beast love it đ€©
Thatâs sick dude I love the size of the regular pro but had to get the max for that 5X zoom itâs just something new I had to try out
Hey Matt! I'm glad your video showed up in my feed the one time I'm having my dinner at home. Feels good to see you after a long time! đ
Thatâs awesome bro so nice having true supporters! đ
Awesome video Matt â€! I always love the way you shoot your videos, the beautiful Scottish backgrounds and ofc the tech. Keep them coming!!
Its actually England I live in the Lake District now but moving to Canada in 5 weeks đ„łđšđŠ
Glad to know. All the best! â@@MattRobb
Great video!
GREAT CONTENT !
I love the black titanium since I copped it itâs just better â€
wow-you did well ,Matt.
And something about buying the main color advertised by Apple each year is that it gets obsolete quickly than when you buy black or white, because you know next year iPhones still gonna get black and white version next year, take for example the sierra blue on the 13 proâs or the pacific blue on the 12 proâs series or the purple on the 14 proâs series, it gets obsolete quickly because itâs the color everyone wants same would go to the natural titanium on the present 15 pros because when the 16 comes out it goes old quickly hope you get what I trying to say ?
Awesome video bro and yeah it does get hot in weather like India
Hi,
Present I am using iPhone 13, I am thinking upgrade to 15 pro max . But itâs right time to upgrade or need to wait until 16 series, pls give me suggestion.
Image of fundal please?
That blue colour Pixel is everywhere.
I actually like the colour a lot itâs called bay blue
Making it look way too easy Matt, amazing video as always. Canât wait to see grow on this site â€
Appreciate the support so much really means a lot to međđ»
@@MattRobb yes sir, always
@@MattRobbwompđ
Can you give me a simple app to colour grade my photos for social media use on my iphone...
Honestly just download Lightroom the mobile version is completely free only the desktop app is paid
I can't understand anyone still choosing Apple at this point. I used to love them but i got so sick of buying the same phone over and over again. My partners iphone 15 pro max seems so dated next to my S24 Ultra. Good video. đ
Yeah I mean I donât get bored because I bounce between my pixel and iPhone so I have the best of both. But I get it being boring. Itâs boring but also pretty reliable
You buy the same phone from any company tho
@@MattRobbI do the same thing but also get bored with the endless customization Android provides so damned if you do damned if you donât
That case at 0:28 is sick! What kind of case is that?
Itâs a Mujjo Burgandy leather case bit.ly/3ylwTRB
Is that the costa cafe from the Ambleside? Looks too familiar because I've been there for 3 and a half years? đ
The shot in the beginning is the water had café down at the fromt of Ambleside on Lake Windermere
But yeah, I go to Costa and Ambleside quite a lot
Nice place and video. Been working there at Zeffirellis đ
Thatâs cool I was walking past there the other day my parents have been for a meal but I havenât tried it yet
@@MattRobb Zeffirellis and Fellinis both have good vegetarian meals. I highly recommend:D
How much,I need it
About battery health, overheat issues and keyboard lagging, something is wrong?
Keyboard lagging??
@@MattRobb Yes. There are issues report about that.
I havenât heard that one. Iâve heard of the overheating but I personally havenât experienced it, my life 8 pro get way hotter than my iPhone.
What app are u using at 13:14
Itâs called Not Boring Weather - apps.apple.com/app/id1531063436
What ssd are you using?
Iâm using the Samsung T7 and also an Orbitkey USB C memory stick which I have on my key organiser
what a good content lol
Nice Video đđ
Good to see you here man đ«Ą
@@MattRobb you too.. I enjoy watching your videos
Apple still leads the cpu performance game. Snapdragon has the gpu advantage and by a fair margin too
SAMSUNG S25 ULTRA 1TB comes out ur goona say goodbuy iphone.
Quality of sharing photos and videos is too bad on most androids to make me switch permanently, itâs something I do on a daily basis. Unless thereâs a huge overhaul with Android and its requirements for software developers quality will still suck across most apps.
But ngl I would hands down be willing to move back to Samsung and give up the iPhone for say 6 months, to see if I can make it work. I used to absolutely hate the iPhone and be a hardcore Samsung fanboy but Apple brought some really useful features out that I use daily so I feel the need to use 2 devices. But definitely want to use Samsung more.
Hey brother
According to you Which 120hz is most smoother
15 Pro max vs S24 UltraâŠ
Luv from india đźđł
In terms of my favorite for animations Iâd say the iPhone feels more alive when using gestures around the OS. But the iPhone sometimes feels like itâs only running 90hz. When scrolling fast I prefer the S24 Ultra its overall more fluid and feels snappier, plus it has a brighter display. Display has to go to Samsung all around but I still like the color accuracy of the iPhone display.
@@MattRobb Thanx soo much bro â€ïžâđ»đŹ
Should try s24 ultra bro!
I have used one just not long enough to make a video on it and I donât really wanna buy one because I wonât use it very much. If Samsung send me a review unit Iâll make content on it đ€·đ»ââïž
The only difference between the 14 pro max and the 15 Pro Max is one is titanium. That's it. That's the only difference.
Titanium, 5X zoom lens, ProRes log, usb c accessory support such as external SSD, faster processor, action buttonâŠâŠ.
But yup youâre totally right just the titanium eh đ€Ą
Apple has brought nothing new out for the last 5years. Way behind Samsung, Google etc.
I disagree. While Samsungâs latest features like a titanium build, 5X telephoto lens with a lower F-stop, flat display, and lockscreen widgets are impressive, the iPhone 15 Pro Max already has these features.
I use a Pixel 8 Pro daily, and while it looks great and is fun to use, itâs not as optimized as the iPhone. The battery life is worse, the materials arenât as good, and the processor is slower. Plus, only the iPhone consistently posts high-quality content to social media. The S24 Ultra has software bloat and inconsistent updates, and its camera processing can be overdone. The Pixel 8 Pro has software bugs and less durable hardware. The iPhone also integrates better with other Apple devices, has more consistent updates, and stronger security. Thatâs why I stick with the iPhone, even though I love the Pixelâs design and OS.
The iPhone also has more options to capture RAW photos directly in the native camera app, unlike Samsung, which needs a separate pro camera app from goodlock. The iPhone also supports 10-bit RAW ProRes video recording and can record externally to an SSD, which I use for color grading later in post. To me itâs the other way around in terms of which brands behind. I prioritise professional features over things I see as gimmicks that I never use on Samsung.
@@MattRobb There are lots more features then cameras. Samsung has a x50 zoom. Apart from the camera where all phones are pretty much the same, Apple has not get anything to offer. Apple has kept everyone locked in it own little bubble with no new features. Samsung, Pixel etc are innovativing all the time and why people who leave iPhone never go back. Just look at the S24 it blows iPhones out of the water and s25 is meant to be even better.
@chewie8 It doesnât though they have the same level of zoom itâs all marketing. Both the S24 ultra have 5X zoom. They are just using ai to fake the image and make it look better but itâs a cheap trick to me that I would never use.
Apple just lost me as a customer after over 2 decades. Under Cook they lost all innovation. The last iOS update brought new Gay-Trans Wallpapers, thatâs about it. Iâm neither so they donât seem to value me anyway.
Keeping my MacBook Pro 16 for Adobe suite when on set but all the iOS garbage goes.
what a video fule of lie and deceiving. I was user of Samsung.I switched from android to iPhone I bought iPhone 15 Pro Max and the experiences is pathetic so far, the myth of iPhone ecosystem is nonsense. You donât even have a keyboard with number lines. You donât have any options to write in your native language. There is no proper translation system. There is no native offline, audio player and media player like in Samsung and Sony even third-party apps behave differently, for example sending images and photos through WhatsApp is different in android you can directly send even if it is online or off-line but in iPhone there is a shit of preparing, the display of the iPhone is not up to the mark as compared to Samsung. Samsung is unbeatable and sound quality and display.iphone get hot when we are charging with pathetic 20 W charger. App Store is another bad name for iOS. There is no categories for apps apps in App Store even behave different differently. For example, I am using VLC and KMPlayer, both have different layout and behaviors. You canât take screenshot from shortcut. apps store in the iPhone is also pathetic in my opinion iOS is 10 years behind than android and if you are android user then never ever decide to go for iOS or iPhone you will regret it later and you have better options in android world.
Best is sony with latest xperia series
Then Samsung
And then pixel.
How can my opinion be a lie itâs a matter of personal preference. The iPhone works for my life and my needs so I gave my honest opinion. I donât use any of the features you just mentioned so itâs not an issue for me. Go and have a look at anyone who makes high quality content for social media and then look at what phone they have and it will be an iPhone. I agree Samsung and the Pixel have way more features and flexibility and I agree the App Store layout sucks but social media apps are really bad on android and thats part of my job so Iâll always use two phones for that reason.
I couldn't agree more.... iOS is light years behind android and too restrictive... Customisation is a joke... Apple controls what you can and can't do with your phone or device... The iPhone cameras look great on paper and specs until you zoom in or enlarge the photo then it's a pixelated mess... Android has a lot of catching up to match the iPhone in the video department so I'll certainly admit that but that's all they've got.
I agree straight out the camera app Samsung and the pixel wins I mentioned in the video. But go and post the photo on Instagram, X, Snapchat or Facebook and the Samsung one will look really low quality compared to posting on instagram for iPhone. I made some posts on my pixel also and had to delete them because of how bad they look. Hardware they are better but considering I can never show them to anyone without converting them to 1MP files on Instagram it seems pointless to me.
Why do you have half an American accent?
