Ugh always the same. Thank me later. So the best non tourist places are: de veluwe (especially everywhere is purple heather in agust). Best thing to do: hire a boat outside a big city and sail through lots of monuments. Warning: do not go to the city center please unless you are known with how it works. Visit castles, they are like everywhere (de haar, utrecht example) Not known: caves in Limburg, really cool! Then up north you can go wadlopen, really awesome because normally the sea is there. And a lot more if anyone is interested is non tourist stuff

The province of Zuid-Holland is what everyone wants to see when visiting the Netherlands, but there are many underrated places with half the crowds. I highly recommend visiting the province of Gelderland. Nijmegen is a very nice city, Arnhem and Oosterbeek are full of WWII history (operation market garden), and the De Hogue Veluwe national park and surrounding area has the best cycling in the country. The cities of Noord-Brabant (S’Hertogenbosch, Breda, Tillburg) are worth seeing as well.

The Netherlands doesn't just have the best cycling culture in the world because it's flat geography. It's also because of coordinated efforts to ensure cyclist safety by designing city and town infrastructure to support cyclists.

Because of the tourism in Amsterdam people move away from our city and start living in the suburbs al the apartments students need for a living. Are getting rented out on air bnb. So yes we are polite to tourists but we don’t actually like them it’s fun to hear there stories. But if want to go to school in the morning I have to go to the central station and I step in someone’s puke again I regret me helping some of the tourists out with finding coffeeshops and headshops. So behave yourself

We do like our German and Belgium visitors, they are polite. But the Chinese, British and Americans act like they are in some sort disneyland instead of realising they are visiting someone else his living place.
