Folks !! I’m seeing so many flaming complaints- so let me be clear! You will get blocked if I see any insults- secondly not everyone on this planet has been to the Netherlands so it may seem like an obvious choice to you but you don’t represent every human. Lastly there’s always part 2 /3/4/5 and many more I can’t fit everything in one video!
Agreed, but don't limit yourself to brochures
Yh dont limit yourself to brochures or gekke Mark is coming to get you
@@thierryparte2506 Just trying to offer some constructive criticism, malle Thierry 😀
I don’t see any flaming complaints only suggestions of other places you can visit which are also very interesting then the ones you mentions. Do I miss something?
Calm down sister . No one is flaming!
I really love Netherlands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've started to study Dutch and one day I will live there for sure!!!!!!!!
Ik hou van Nederlands!!!!!!!!!!! (from Japan~🇯🇵 )
Watashi wa oranda kara desu.
Nihon ga daisuki desu.
😍
Ik hoop je in ons land te zien Yumi
Having moved to the Netherlands after living in Tasmania all my life, I'm blown away at just how much there is to see within easy driving distance of most places. There are so many small hidden gems just about everywhere. It's a beautiful little (truly tiny) country.
it's a gateway to other schengen countries as well, from amsterdam to brussels by Thalys trein only takes approximately 2 hours 39 mins, and germany is there, france is there, you can stop in Luxxie . cheap ticket to brussels $39 for basic fare - I checked their website
@@Pressplay_Media_EU Luxxie is the cutest name ever for Luxembourg
And, even better? You don't have to drive! How great is that?!? You can train or bike instead.
@@Pressplay_Media_EUIndeed.
I’m from Tasmania, planning to visit Netherlands and France for my first overseas trip 🇳🇱🇫🇷 what timeframe would you recommend to spend in Netherlands before heading down to France? 😊
Everycorner of Netherlands is beautiful. Love Netherlands from Austria 🇦🇹 ❤️👍
Yes it is, as taxi driver I wonder every day how dynamic and beautiful it is.
The Netherlands is a heavily populated nation that was partially submerged by the water and has around 50% of its land below sea level. Most visitors to the Netherlands simply come to see Amsterdam. Holland, however, has a lot to offer outside of its city. With its network of canals, the country's flat terrain is ideal for cycling and is dotted with charming old towns and traditional windmills. The flower gardens transform into popular tourist destinations in the spring, offering a striking display of vibrant colors.
Wow, What a place !
Just beautiful.
Delft really is the most beautiful city in the Netherlands
Sincerely,
Someone from Delft
I was born in Delft, studied there - and then moved away. When I showed the place to my now French wife, she absolutely fell in love with it - so now I'm back ;-) But Delft is much more than just pottery and a touristy inner city. It's also the home of one of the foremost Technical Universities in the world - which brings about some tiny little things you won't even find in the bigger cities.
Leiden is missing! Rembrandt! It's such a beautiful city with a gorgeous museum De Lakenhal and a very active art-scene.
I mentioned Leiden 😛☺️
All places are so beautiful like heaven
Ohh my god ❤❤
John 3:16-21.
Nijmegen needs to be on the list. Oldest city of The Netherlands.
idd dankjewel.
Alsof de rest van Nederland niet bestaat.
Nijmegen ? Door de oorlog is er teveel verwoest
Thank you or sharing, I enjoyed watching, very informative, even for a Dutch person. Nice images and video editing. Three of my favorites are on the list.
Your pronounciation of Kinderdijk was actually perfect!
Wow I am surprised !
1:07 i have been to Giethoorn before! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Alkmaar is also very beautiful, there's a cheese market, gorgeous buildings, a large church etc. A real tourist trap to be honest, but I think it's worth visiting.
The Efteling is criminally underrated. It's a theme park based on the tales of the Brothers Grimm and designed by the artist himself. It's way older than Disney World, and Walt Disney admitted to taking inspiration on the park. It's really a breathtaking place, way better than Disney, and far cheaper.
not better then Disney. Disney parks have better quality (american parks, not paris), and better designed rides with a completer experience. Efteling is also good but in another way, Efteling has a far more beautiful history and story.
@@JoepKoster123 I honestly disagree. Disney is very overpriced. The rides might be more in number, but none of the rides have the immersive experience of Droomvlucht or Symbolica, nor the originality of a ride like Villa Volta. Take Fata Morgana and Pirates of the Caribbean; Fata Morgana is a vastly superior ride. I prefer quality over quantity. I do like Disney; I've been many times to the Orlando Parks. But I don't think Efteling gets the recognition it deserves, compared to Disney.
Utrecht is Amazing!! I spent NYE there and I was NOT disappointed at all I want to go back! Thanks for sharing. 💗💗
I love traveling and watching travel videos. Well done. I went to The Netherlands in December 1998 and loved every minute. I went to several museums but the most memorable place was the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. To walk through and visualize what happened in that house was emotionally very moving. My take-away from my visit there was: beautiful, friendly people and a lot of bicycles. Oh, I helped make (and eat) oliebolen.
So good 😊
I would recommend visit the whòle Netherlands, we have it àll. 👋😉👍🇳🇱
Absolutely beautiful. My next destination will be The Netherlands. I love tour videos. Thanks for sharing. 🧡
Absolutely beautiful country the Netherlands, much more great places to visit, thank you for sharing beautiful video 11:43
I like the field of flowers in the Netherlands.
Hopefully you visit also Limburg sometime....parkstad and surroundings have soo much more to offer
Giethoorn was the greatest place beautiful
Nice selection. And indeed, there are a many more places that could also have been part of this list.
See below for suggestions. But to add a few to those suggestions. Kampen, Deventer, the sand dunes (near e.g. Tilburg or Ommen), Franeker, Schiermonnikoog, some nice heather at the Veluwe, .... sorry.
I really do like your initial selection...
Yes part two will come out august
Thank you so much for the wonderful Netherland video. Not sure 10 days enough to visit there . So many beautiful places I must see ! ❤😍🌷⛪️ thank you!
I love you Netherlands from the Philippines
Thanks for the great video love holland and the people i will be adding these places to my next visit
Great video, thank you! Also for your efforts on the pronunciation, which is mostly spot on!
A great selection indeed. Of course because i'm a dutchmen I can tell you of much more great places to visit. For example The Hague, in my opnion if you visit Holland then you have to visit The Hague. This because it is the real capitol of Holland. Amsterdam only got the titel because it was the biggest city in that time and the brother of Napoleon wanted to live there. Butt al of the fundamental important things are in The Hague where it al started. The Royal Family is there, our government with the prime-minister, justice department and head courtroom. So maybe in Part 2? Limburg (Valkenburg, Maastricht) and the beautiful nature of The Veluwe or Utrechtse Heuvelrug (Austerlitz). Love to see more video's. Great job already..
Hey,sorry for the inconvenience, but I am really lost with so many options and I dont like overly touristic places.,I wanna visit netherlands for the first time.I love historical places, castles, strolling around in small towns and villages.Im only gonna be there for a few days,do you have any recommendations for me?
@@svetssteffe6038 depending on where you are staying and mode of transport. You can visit places like Naarden (a fort city like Bourtange), Hilversum ( where dutch tv is made, also features the media museum ) if you are more South you can visit cities like Eindhoven ( where the Philips company was founded ) Breda, Den Bosch or Maastricht. North East, go to Friesland, any town there is basically old skool Dutch, but beware half the population there doesn't speak Dutch. Groningen is Awesome. The only place in the Netherlands i wouldn't recommend for holiday is Zeeland. But would if you have an extended stay
Nice content and beautiful country.🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Themepark 'Efteling' in Kaatsheuvel is awesome. Definitely a must. And any place by sea or river.
beautiful video! Thanks for sharing.
Love the Netherlands.
such wonderful cities and worth visiting!!
Very good- I never heard of these places. Water, water, water ... everywhere.
Wow Netherland ❤
I love your videos. Your channel is definitely bringing a lot of attraction to the lesser known towns and cities of Europe. I hope to see a video on Belgium in the future. Keep the great content coming 👌
Great video even though other comments have said its "touristy" I had never heard of some of the places you visited so they mustnt be too "touristy". It was very informative and will certainly certainly check them out. Haarlem looks a dream. But anywhere in Holland would be a dream because of its history and culture. 🥰 thanks for the video.
Realy beautiful done!!
Very interesting are also to visit : The Zuiderzee Museum , it’s a cultural-historical museum in the Dutch city of Enkhuizen in the province of North Holland, where the culture and maritime history of the former Zuiderzee are portrayed. It is largely an open air museum just as The Netherlands Open Air Museum. It is a cultural history museum in Arnhem in the province of Gelderland. This Arnhem museum is the most visited museum in the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam. The museum gives a picture of life in the Netherlands through the ages.
Deventer, Leiden , Hoorn en Maastricht and the village Twisk are also very pretty 🤩
And when you are in Arnhem for The Open Air Museum, De Veluwe is also a nice piece of nature to visit and relax afterwards! ;)
@@Haartje ofcourse ☺️ De Veluwe ,a beautiful part of the Netherlands, with the Hoge Veluwe National Park (Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe) and the Kröller-Müller Museum, a museum with a beautiful Vincent van Gogh collection and other masterpieces by Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian and the beautiful St. Hubertus Hunting Lodge (Jachthuis Sint Hubertus).
The zuiderzee museum is one of the best museums to visit with kids.
Dutchy here. Go to the Efteling theme park. You won't regred it and it's better then Disneyland
I live in Gouda, so happy it's on this list :D
thanks to you giving ne information about many beautiful places in neatherland
An absolute must for a day trip from Amsterdam is the Castle at Muiderslot (near Muiderberg) to the southeast of the city.
Muiderslot is not worth it. Better visit Castle de Haar.
Great video. It's remember me to my trip to Netherland. Greetings from Germany.
I really like it that you say 'Netherland' not 'the Netherlands' 🤣
It is also more like how we say it, 'Nederland'
Arriving in Holland in a few days. Can't wait!
Hope you had a great time! I'm going there in about a week. I plan to just go biking around ... seems like a great way to see the country!
@@jeank8061 It's so nice! I stayed for 7 months until end of August. Plenty of safe bike paths there, so enjoy your time.
Also very nice to visit: the west coast of North-Holland. Around the places Bergen, Schoorl, Groet, there is a very nice piece of nature reserve called 'Schoorlse Duinen'. The villages of Schoorl and Bergen are very beautiful to get lost in on your bicycle and the area around them are famous for the beautiful cycling routes through fields and dunes.
En natuurlijk de eeuwige laan
The greatest
small country in the world 👍🏻🇳🇱
soundtrack is amazing 🔥
visit "het nederlands openlucht museum" you get a taste of all. and it is close by beautiful nature (veluwezoom) mid august on his best.
Haarlem would be my nr.1 recommendation for anyone visiting the Netherlands. Haarlem is fabulous, there is so much to see, with everything within walking distance. Most importantly, much quieter than nearby touristy places. There is also something very warm and friendly about the place.
Another recommendation that is not on this list is Enkhuizen. Enkhuizen's Zuiderzee Musuem is remarkable. A town with a very rich history. It is also less touristy than some of the places that are on this list.
Thank you for this fantastic video!!! I enjoyed it very much and I’ve subscribed to your channel.
Loving this video!
So beautiful breath taking
Netherlands is piecfull country. I am glad to see. Thank you very much sharing this video.
I really enjoyed this video you have made: Thank You! I am half Dutch in heritage, but do not know if I will ever have the chance to visit. Lots of paintings, art, & objects in my Oma's (grandmother's) house. Thanks again! In the U.S.
It's a great selection if the titel is "places to visit in Holland " 😀 can"t wait for part 2 and on...hopefully more east-netherlands orientated
Thanks for this wonderful video
Great Video!!!
Zwolle is Beautiful City. Place to visit When you come to the Netherlands visit on a Saturday last things lots of things to do
If you stay in Zwolle, than it is a small step to visit Giethoorn. Other nice places to visit are Elburg, Hattem, Meppel, Kampen.
Zwolle: One of the towns of the Modern Devotion, think about Thomas a Kempis the author of The Imitation of Christ. It is also the birthplace of Johan Rudolph Thorbecke, the prime minister who wrote the very important constitution of 1848. Joan Derk Van Der Capellen tot den Pol who supported the Americans in their battle for independence against the Brits lived in Zwolle. Zwolle is also the birthplace of the singer, actor and artist Herman Brood. And the center is worth to be visited because of the churches and museums.
Good list...makes me want to check them out.
Nice and beautiful city
Very nice collection of places to visit. But also, except maybe for Bourtange in the north east of the Netherlands, the places the majority of tourist visit. I always miss the beautiful places in the north east like: Leeuwarden, Groningen or Appingedam with it's hanging kitchens. The province of Drenthe with it's extensive bicycle roads.
True. Apart from Giethoorn which is like 5 km away from here and Bourtange, all the other mentioned locations are in the western part of the country. There is so much more outside of de Randstad.
pekela4life bro
really there are more than 3 provinces in the netherlands than north south holland and utrecht and they are even more beautiful
Giethoorn is overijssel.
Bourtange is Groningen
What places do you suggest ?
@@totti. Maastricht
@@totti. Maastricht, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Den Bosch are some of the best big cities outside of North and south Holland, but don't know if you're into nature and villages, because you'll find better places outside of N-H and S-H
Vlieland......gorgeous...also the charming sma.l city to get there, Harlingen
I love Harlingen it's my Dutch Dublin. Incredibly inspiring. The history, the sea, the big ships, love it.
Nice I enjoyed this video
Great place to visit !
Great informative vidéo
My husband was born and raised in the Netherlands, in Noort Holland, not far from Haarlem. If you like the sea, a visit to Zandvoort is also recommended.
One of the attractions at Zanze Schance is the Klompenmakerij, or the klompen ( wooden shoe) makers. Certainly worth the visit.
There are some wonderful markets in other towns, too.
Zaanse schans...
Your pronounciation is perfect.
That’s nice! These are all quite close and mainly in the north-western part of the country. In addition don’t miss Den Haag and beach Bloemendaal & beach Scheveningen.
You are missing a couple of provinces tho:
SW: Zeeland’s Deltaworks are on UNESCO’s list as well. And Zeeland’s Middelburg is a beautiful monumental city.
SE: Maastricht in Limburg is an extraordinary Dutch village on the Maas worth visiting. Don’t forget to visit Valkenburg and Arcen when you’re there.
S: Den Bosch & Breda are lovely burgundy cities.
Central/east: There’s beautiful cycling and affordable airbnbs at the national parks ‘Veluwe’ and the ‘Utrechtse heuvelrug’. Quite some airbnbs provide bicycles.
NE: visiting the Wadden Islands by ferry is absolutely worth it, Vlieland and Schiermonnikoog are car free. And there is a change that we have to give up on them in the next couple of decades.
And in Friesland lives a whole sailing culture, visit Sneek or Harlingen (tall ship races).
We have quite a decent school system and they teach us English in primary school so most Dutch speak quite good English. In the East German is also quite recently spoken and in the bigger cities you’ll quite often meet someone speaking some Spanish or French. And Amsterdam is one of the cities with the most nationalities living there worldwide. And, as I suppose as in all countries, the people in the people in general are more often highly educated, politically more left orientated and quite focussed on sustainability.
All super nice. But don’t come in autumn/winter (October-April, those months included) With a bit of luck we catch 2-3 snowy days a year, the rest is grey, cold and rain.
Enjoy your stay!
oh no! I'm from Canada and am going to be visiting my family there in early November. Does it rain a lot there? The cold I am used to.
World clas beautiful place amazing yr
Actually I was surprised how well you pronounced some of the names. Well done you. Even outside of this list there is so much to see. Everything is small in the Netherlands (except the people). old historical towns are sooo widespread. If you are looking for a cycling Holiday, the Netherlands is probably one of the best places to visit.
I really love your explanation.
These places are mostly about history and many places are still missing from this list. However, one place should be on this list: the Delta Works. A world renowned technical marvel.
This is a good list but also the more touristy list still. There are a ton of other nice places (look at the reaction of Jacobus Johannes) and very attractive regions (Nieuwkoopse plassen, Betuwe, Peel, Loonse duinen, The region near Nijmegen, Veluwe, IJsselmeer and Flevoland, The Friese meren and the 11 steden of Friesland a.o. ) The Netherlands might be a small country but it is PACKED with places that are waiting to be seen..
I said the exact same thing. But I guess this was made especially FOR tourists. ;)
Nieuwkoopse plassengebied💪🏻💪🏻
Groningen, Maastricht, Rotterdam, de Zeeuwse eilanden, Dordrecht, Alkmaar, de Achterhoek enzovoort.
Thanks for the suggestions. If I'm ever able to visit, then I would like to enjoy a less populated area.
I'd add Orvelte to that list!
Thank you.
W😮 amazing place
Very very nice thanks
❤❤❤ beautiful 😍😊
great!

super nice country🗻🌍
Returned yesterday after a glorious week in the Netherlands. This video makes me want to go straight back! There are 17 provinces. I sidestepped Amsterdam and explored just South Holland, So, 16 more to go and as I’m in my 9th decade I guess I’d better get moving….
Euhh, there are 12 provinces
@@lockstocknl Thank you. Never too old to learn😀
Once there were 17: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventeen_Provinces
Do they speak English there thinking about going there and how does America money work there?
@@dustinhallett4160Most proficient in English of any non English speaking country. They use the Euro, debit cards are accepted everywhere credit cards not so much.

Try Gelderland next time! 1,5 hrs from Amsterdam. The most beautifull nature you have ever seen. Kröller- Möller Museum, Burgers Zoo, Open-air museum.
Nee man laat die busladingen vol toeristen maar mooi weg.
The Loo Apeldoorn
