he had the courage to say "the upgrades are not shown on the map", dude deserves to play Ubisoft open world games with flags all over the map and that's it. can't play without having his hand held.
also, you don't need too many blessings to defeat the first boss (I managed with 2 just fine), there are people doing SL1 runs...he needs to get good, or use summon and accept that he's not good enough.
@sharteel85 Remember, this is the guy who’s so bad at gameplay that game devs HIGHLIGHTED his gameplay during a conference to showcase the handholding mechanics of their game.
If you find a good amount of the fragments, it reduces about 60% of the damage from bosses and enemies in the area, on top of buffing your stats, I think I've gotten 6 or 8 so far and found them organically, enjoying the environments and the verticality of the map.

I'm going to play the dlc in a couple days so I don't know at the moment, but can't he just use the summons? Or did they remove that from the DLC? He can't use the "I'm too good for summons approach because he cheese whizzed the hell out of both of his playthroughs.

The real issue is he plays it awfully : he pretty much stands there spamming either the greatsword r2 or l1 with spells (it's very boring to watch and he doesn't try to learn enemy patterns at all). Not only that but he has awful drip : he runs the ugly ahh bull goat set and the rennala croissant hat.
Also for no good reason this guy still has the marika soreseal at level 150 for extra damage taken 😂

Gravity spells like Rock sling are physical actually (they're pretty much the recommended pick for mages against Rennala) so I guess he just played badly (to be fair I gave the dragon a few tries and I really don't like the boss fight either, it has the same issue as regular dragons from base game)
When will devs learn they need to cater to dsp’s needs and specific style when they make a game

Wanna know why DSP is getting his ass kicked in the Elden Ring Expansion? Its because DSP is used to bruteforce and cheese his way through from soft games, this expansion makes it really hard to do it as it encourages and rewards skill based gameplay. No wonder DSP is not having fun without the moneybuff.

Sure, there are some patches of empty space in the DLC, but that is the nature of open world games. It gives you a bit of a break in between action. It doesn't go on for too long, and you never go too long without finding something to engage with. DSP is dumb.

DSP not understanding why fromsoft had to design the dlc around not allowing high level players to stomp through it, and why it is a good thing, couldn’t be funnier to watch. Yeah it's harder than Malenia in a lot of ways, faster combos that hit harder, higher stance, ranged attacks that slap (that's gonna be extra painful for dave since he beat Malenia by spamming l1 from afar), very tight dodge timings.... I didn't have that much shards of the tree when I fought it so it might be easier after that but even then it's a crazy boss

The devs know the players have their favorite OP builds that they run, why would they want ppl to speed run their new DLC with OP builds and possibly ruin their experience like that?

I always get pissed off when a video game makes me actually play it. Such a waste of time. I was having a blast early *$150++* but after that I hated it *$5 stream* I no longer feel sorry for any of the dents.

My guy they had to introduce a new leveling system in the DLC so people wouldn’t bring their giga leveled characters and mow through the DLC. Terrible takes as usual.
This DLC is massively filtering every scrub out there, and the Souls fanbase is unfortunately chock full of them, particularly because the Dark Souls games are notorious for being super hard, while not being very hard at all, so it makes scrubs feel good to play, it feeds their ego very badly. They already complained about late game ER with even a ton of scrub youtubers saying fights like Malenia were "badly designed" and engaging in all kinds of cope. But this DLC is actually very very very hard to the point it requires mastery of the combat system, it's TRULY difficult, scrubs like Phil will NOT handle it, I called this yesterday after playing the DLC a bunch.
It's already at 59% Mixed reviews on Steam solely because scrubs are having a meltdown. Phil is going to be unbearably annoying about this for weeks.

I have never laughed as hard as when i decided to see one of his old E.R playthroughs and he was even worse than i imagined - a complete MESS of a character build, and then when he actually started fighting a boss. He would just Spam Jump+R1 almost all the time or cast long winding spells right in front of the boss while the boss was about to do strong attack, yet complain about the lag and game mechanics. It was hilarious.
His mouth is struggling with the speaking inputs. The mouth movements don’t match what my ears are hearing. Stroke face is extra strong today.

An easy fix to all of dsp issues and problems with his gaming is that every game developer needs to consult with him and get his expert professional opinion on how the game should be so it can benefit him and be more profitable for his extremely popular and successful "business"

It's the scrub's favorite word. Whenever they find themselves wholly inadequate to face a challenge, they blame everything else and then invent stuff to make it seem like the game is at fault. "Artficial difficulty" is the prime manifestation of that, anyone who says that is categorically a scrub, it exposes their entire mindset in one term. Phil also has hundreds of hours of Street Fighter commentary to prove his scrub status anyway on top of it.
